Xiu Yan swished his tail leisurely with satisfaction, rubbing his body against Ji Nuan’s and emitting a sigh from his throat. Finally, he had gotten rid of these two annoyances.

Ya Li was so angry that his nose was crooked. He could only grumble while his upper body turned into an orc’s appearance, and his snake tail quietly stretched towards the direction of the bushes. By this time, Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan were also looking nervously down at the area, unsure of what was in these bushes.

The pitch-black night provided good concealment for Ya Li. His black snake tail reached the bushes silently, and the creature inside surprisingly didn’t notice him at all. Ya Li whipped his tail sharply, violently flipping open the bushes.

Inside the flipped-open bushes was a fluffy, white, round butt. The little creature, frightened, had buried its head between its chubby paws. Its butt was sticking up highly, creating a rather comic sight.

Upon closer inspection, Ji Nuan suddenly found the fluffy tail quite familiar. Upon seeing the creature’s nervously twitching small triangle ears, he finally tentatively shouted out a name: "Luo Zhi?"

At the sound of Ji Nuan’s voice, the little creature’s ears instantly perked up, and it cautiously turned its head around: "Squeak?"

Ya Li also recognised the little creature. He stretched out his dark, glossy tail to coil her up, leisurely swam over to Xiu Yan’s side, and the little creature obediently curled up within Ya Li’s tail ring.

The moment it clearly saw Ji Nuan, its shiny black eyes became wet, golden tears dropping one by one. Ji Nuan couldn’t bear to see cute creatures getting upset. He quickly took the little creature from Ya Li’s tail, gently stroking her fur: "There, there, don’t cry, your dad is fine. We will find a way to save him, okay?"

The little creature reached out its paw to clutch at Ji Nuan’s beast skin clothing: "Squeak squeak squeak?"

Its small eyes were full of anticipation.

Ji Nuan nodded seriously: "Don’t worry, your dad will definitely be alright."

Only then did the little creature obediently settle down on Ji Nuan’s lap.

Ji Nuan took a piece of cold roasted meat from the bag and handed it to the little creature’s mouth: "The roast is cold now, eat some to fill your belly."

Whilst the little creature gobbled the meat hungrily, the three orcs kept looking in the direction of the Dashi Tribe. Fu Yi still hadn’t returned.

Inside the biggest tent of the Dashi Tribe, a dozen orcs were gorging on roast meat.

"No offense, but I really don’t get what the Clan Leader is thinking. He should be staying in his comfortable territory, instead of coming to this shitless Eneru Forest. There’s nothing useful here."

"Absolutely, and with the cold season approaching, we should be preparing food back in the tribe."

The orc at the top swallowed the meat in his hand and looked around at the others: "Just listen to the Clan Leader. Where did you guys get all this nonsense?"
