Xiu Yan also came over, grabbing Ji Nuan’s arm and putting her behind him. "Did you hear it too?"

Ji Nuan nodded, "Yes, I’ve been hearing a whining sound from a young one, but I can’t see anything around."

With a slightly elevated voice, Xiu Yan called, "Ya Li, come over."

Ya Li, who was disturbing Mo Qi, rolled her eyes at the sound of Xiu Yan’s voice, jumped up and ran over.

Seeing Xiu Yan protectively holding Ji Nuan behind him, she raised her eyebrows, "What happened?"

Was she called over because he was hungry and was trying to feed her dog food?

The little one looked warily at the creature approaching it, opened its mouth and cried out twice.

Ji Nuan hurried forward a step, cradling the tiny meatball in her arms, only then noticing that the little one was covered in blood.

"Little fellow, can sis check where you’re hurt?" Ji Nuan gently stroked the tiny meatball’s head.

The little meatball stretched out its paw, which was about a quarter the size of Ji Nuan’s palm, slapped her Beast Skin clothes, then jumped down and ran a few steps forward, looking back at her and crying out.

Ji Nuan turned to Xiu Yan, "What is the little one doing? Asking me to follow it?"

Xiu Yan nodded, "Seems like it."

Ya Li looked interestedly at the dirty little creature, "Let’s go and see where the little guy is leading us."

Ji Nuan wanted to see too, as she had a feeling that the little creature wouldn’t harm them.

With a helpless shake of his head, Xiu Yan bent down, put his arms around Ji Nuan and lifted her into his arms, "I’ll carry you."

Ji Nuan obediently nodded.

Ya Li wrapped her tail around the tiny meatball and said, "Little guy, you point the way, I’ll take you there. Otherwise, it would take forever with your little short legs."

The little meatball huffed at Ya Li, turned its head to look at Ji Nuan, and pointed ahead. "Chirp, chirp!"

Xiu Yan turned around and instructed the orcs, "We’re going out. You guys stay here and don’t look for the fruit trees anymore. Just wait here for us. If we don’t come back tonight, just go back to the tribe."

The orcs nodded.
