Chapter 48: The Forest [4]
The red moon cast down its light on the forest. Every tree, every leaf, every wood could feel its burning gaze.
Within the forest there were two figures standing; one was massive, the size of a five story building, the second, the size of a lamp stand compared to the former.
The moon gazed at them as though giving a go ahead for the heavy battle that was about to begin.
The forest was silent, no sounds could be heard whatsoever, but every eye watched. The trees, the woods, the leaves; they all watched.
The figure which was the size of a lamp stood, for some reason even though it was of that size; it had a bright expression on their face.
While the other that is, the massive, had a vex expression. It was unreal and backwards. Normally it is the smallest size that should be vexed because of the difference in size.
However, here, that didn’t apply. It was as if the rules did not have a single effect.

Aegon stared at the window at his left and saw the time he had left, it wasn’t much and he knew just how to end this battle without stress
’I don’t know if it can last for long so I should use a skill and not an ability.’
’That way, my mana wouldn’t drop so much. It might still be possible that it would be drained again.’
Aegon didn’t move carelessly because he had regained his MP. No, he thought and analyzed the situation first.
He had already known that there was something that caused his mana to run out quickly, and it was safe to say ’that’ something drained it.
However, one additional reason for him to assume that fact is because he had used an ability.
There were only a couple of MPs he had and he needed to use them wisely. If he used an evolved ability, there was a good chance the ability wouldn’t even activate before the mana is completely drained.
And the same goes for the basic form of such ability. But, when it comes to his skills, yes, they use mana but not as much as the ability uses.
With this knowledge, he would be able to use a skill and still have a certain amount of MP left, it was the safest option and the best plan.
He stood up from the ground, his expression now, straight and fierce, his eyes were glowing purple as they pierced through the guardian’s body.
He had his dagger in his right hand, and clenched it very tightly, there was a skill he could use to end this, one that wouldn’t cause so much destruction to the forest but enough damage to leave a scar.
And Aegon knew just what skill that was.

The guardian saw his sudden rise and knew this was going to be the pinnacle of the battle, one of them would die here, and it surely wasn’t going to be it, which would be possible, but.
Aegon dashed forward, towards the guardian as he ran with a swift speed and precision.
However, as he ran the guardian sent flying chunks of wood in sharp forms like shurikens to cut him down, while at the same time sending out long stretches of wood towards him.
Aegon saw all these attacks and dodged them one after another. He moves left and right evading, and sometimes jumps to avoid the longest attack.
He didn’t fight back or cut any of the attacks sent to him, he simply ran. It was as if he had a goal and would stop at nothing to execute.
Indeed, he had.

In this moment as he ran, his dagger had begun to glow in a purple and black form of energy, which was a tiny portion of mana that engulfed the sharp side of the dagger.
It didn’t cost much but still moved the numbers down. Aegon saw this and didn’t bother as it wasn’t being drained at a drastic speed.
He was closing in on the guardian and it wasn’t about to leave him too close. It sent, at this moment, more long branches of trees coming out of its body down to the ground to Aegon’s feet.
The goal was to stop him by halting his movement, because with no movement he couldn’t get any closer.
However, at this point Aegon was already as close as he wanted to be and before these branches could reach him, he leaped above the ground while moving forward at full speed.
It had seemed like he was flying, but wasn’t.

The thing was that he had covered his feet with a certain portion of mana to leap and move in the air as if he was flying, but he wasn’t, although it took a good amount of his mana.
The guardian saw this and let out a loud cry. It changed its tactic and raised both its hands, stretching them out towards this human.
However, Aegon, seeing this coming, suddenly added more mana on his feet; they glowed purple.

With this additional mana added he stepped on the air as though he was standing on the ground, and then jumped higher.
At this height, he was able to evade the guardian’s attack while still moving forward, but at this moment he was already where he wanted to be.
He raised the dagger with both of his hands; as he was already over the head of the guardian, and engulfed with more mana.

The mana, flowing like life energy, was glowing and shining in the reflection of the moon on the dagger.
With this movement, Aegon added force to his body and began descending to the head of the guardian at full speed.
The guardian saw this and acted as though it didn’t have time to react, drawing near this human and giving him hope of success.
Aegon moved with tremendous speed with both gravity and his own force playing the same role of his descent.
And upon close his dagger shown brightly under the watchful gaze of the moon.
At that moment, the dagger landed on the head of the guardian and was about to break its way through it, but the guardian had other plans.
In that instant, he stretched out its four horns; taking them out of its head with long attachments of the strings of wood.
These four horns moved out, flew to Aegon and were about to catch him.
He didn’t have a way to move, nor dodge because he was stranded in the air and his dagger was buried within the head of the guardian; which it held so tight from a possible removal.
Seeing this brilliant move, Aegon smiled as the guardian raised its eyes to see if the human had been wrapped already.
However, it saw something unexpected and uncalculated. The guardian was very wise, but never would it think that this kind of move would be placed by the human.

As the horns were about to get a hold on Aegon, he unhanded the dagger with a smile on his face.
Just at the last second when the four horns were less than an inch away and about to make impact, Aegon vanished.
This happened before the red glowing eyes of the guardian; having an expression that it had fucked up an was going to be beat in its own game, by this human
In that very instant, before it could make a single movement with its eyeball, this human had already appeared on the ground before it.
Aegon, stretched his left leg backwards, his right leg forward, and both of his hands?
They were both to his left, his palm in a circular form; a mini inches from each other.
"It is time..."

In that moment, a purple-red ball of mana began to grow in the center of his palms and grew bigger from every passing mini seconds.

He was conjuring and forming all the mana he could mutter into a ball in his hands which got heavier from every increase.

In this moment, the light, coming from the ball of mana illuminated his hands, face, body and even spread out to the guardian; which at this point was turning it head to see where Aegon was.

The light didn’t stop there, as it illuminated the entire surrounding area of the forest. What was dark before had now been brightened by lights, and in that very moment.

The entire light of mana which has expanded far wide, began reducing and retracting back to the point where it came from, and upon reaching Aegon’s palms they turned off and darkness regained control.
However...
"Skill... Spatial Cannon Blast!!"
In that very instant, after the words had been spoken, Aegon stretched both of his hands, joined together while opening his palms towards the guardian and just then,
a straight and single light appeared and was blasted like a cannon towards the guardian, illuminating everywhere and everything in the forest.
The light showed so bright it covered everything in sight, even to the point that Aegon couldn’t see what was happening.
But guardian saw, it saw the blast coming towards it and felt nothing, but fear and defeat
At that moment, the light covered even its own gaze, then a thunderous explosion was heard, as the guardian and forest behind it all got blasted into smithereens.
Just then, a loud cry was heard and the context of that cry was;
"Noooooooo!!!!"
