100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat

Chapter 38: Chairman of the Farmers Association

The rays of sunlight slipped through the window, passed the curtains, and landed on the face of the individual sleeping on an almost king sized bed.

This individual was in an unusual sleeping position, their head was at the side of the bed, one leg at the end, and the other on top of the pillow at the head of the bed.

His legs were widely spread, their head almost falling off the bed. It was as if they had taken a large amount of drink the night before, and got drunk. But that wasn’t the case..

With the sun shining directly to his face, his eyes blinked once and then again before opening them. As he did, the sun directly shown into his eyes, and he quickly stood up and sat upright in the bed, saying:

"What time is it?"

He didn’t have a phone nor a watch to locate the time, but there was a clock at the kitchen and immediately his eyes were handed there.

"Only past seven..."

He quickly got up from the bed, entered the bathroom and washed himself. Afterwards, he came out refreshed with a white towel tied to his waist, while another was on his right hand which he used to clean his hair and face.

After this, he went and opened his bag, and brought out two transparent nylon which had clothes in them.

In the first nylon, he brought out a new dark trouser, this one was better than the previous one.

He wore the trouser and then removed a t-shirt from the transparent nylon. It was a dark purple long sleeve t-shirt shirt which he wore, and afterwards in the second transparent nylon he brought out a black nylon.

He placed the black nylon on the ground and brought out two premium black boots. This one was better than the last.

He sat down on the side of the bed, bent down and wore the boots. As he had finished, he got up and tucked the t-shirt into the trouser.

After he was done, he went to the second transparent nylon and brought out a black long trench coat.

Before wearing it, he raised it up with both hands to look at it. The coat was good looking and was something that would fit him.

"She really out did herself, didn’t she?"

He wore the coat and as expected, it fitted him. The coat was very long to the point it reached his ankle.

Now, he was complete, he raised the bag to the bed, zipped it and began to leave the room, but as he was about to leave he remembered he hadn’t eaten and went back to take the stuff he bought from the store the night before.

"_-_-_"

Aegon stood at the front of the futuristic building before him which had a three dimensional signage at the side.

His gaze went upwards thinking he could see the end of the building but that was impossible as the building stretched long into the clouds.

"I just can’t get used to this building after all. Who designed such a thing?"

He brought down his head and gazed at the entrance to the Farmers Association building. There were a lot more people going in than those who came out.

"Looks like they are all here to catch those thieves. But for so many farmers to pull up, is that how the chairman and duke calls are?"

Aegon went through the rotating door and came out on the other side. It was different from his first time, when he wanted to get his license.

Back then he came out directly to the counter but here he didn’t. He came out into a large hall and a long hall.

Inside were different people, Farmers of different ranks and stages. There were those who dressed in customs, some suits, others, just casual.

At the far end of the hall there was a stage, and in this stage a microphone stand. Nobody was there yet.

The hall was packed with farmers chatting and sharing ideas. Some wondered if there was going to be a prize for those who caught the suspect.

Others spoke about the price being divided into many; there should be a prize for a person who catches one of the thieves, another price for catching two, and so on.

There was also supposed to be a price for a person who caught the thieves and brought back the item that was stolen.

This was to be the grand price.

Aegon stayed quiet while he scanned through his surroundings. He could see people that didn’t have much life in them; old people that had come to take this job.

They could barely hold themselves.

There were also youth and teens, most of them didn’t look strong but like someone who would die immediately once they entered the Abyss.

After scanning for a while and getting familiar with the place, a sound was heard and all heads turned forward.

It was the microphone that was being put in place. There was a man there dressed in an all black suit, with a black sunglasses.

He took the microphone and introduced himself.

"Attention..." with this one word the entire hall went dead silent like a graveyard as everyone listened to what he had to say.

"My name is John Reiss, the vice chairman. Some of you might know me, others might not. But you have all gathered here for the same reason, and with that I present to you the Chairman of the Farmers Association."

There was no clap, no cheer, as a huge man in a grey suit walked out from behind the stage.

He had brown short hair, grey eyes and a muscular fit. His shoulders were wide, his height over six feet.

His expression was tough with the vertical line scar across his face.

As he walked out, a certain energy surrounded him, dominating the entire hall. Everyone felt it and felt an immediate urge to bow down to him.

But to Aegon, he didn’t see it as threatening, although he could feel and sense the energy, there was no reason for him to bow down.

Just then, he heard whispers.

"It’s the Chairman..."

"It’s really him."

"I heard he is also an S-rank Farmer and is still in his prime."

The Chairman was a young looking man in his late thirties or early forties, but he looked so fit like someone in their mid twenties.

It is said that he is a S-rank Farmer and still in his prime.

"I heard he fought toe to toe with an S-rank monster and won, which was how he got that mark on his face."

Aegon listened carefully while his gaze was on the Chairman, inwardly he thought.

’So this is the Chairman? The one who runs the Farmers Association. He is so strong.’

’Even from where I am standing I can feel his tremendous magical energy.’

At this moment, the entire hall was already buzzing with whispers everywhere. Those who haven’t seen the Chairman before talked but those who have, didn’t talk.

However, the noise was more as it was from more than half of the Farmers around.

The Chairman man walked to the front of the microphone while the vice chairman gave way for him.

In that instance, the Chairman took hold of the mic with his left hand while his right went to the air.

Upon seeing this, the entire hall became silent once again, then he spoke.

"First of all, I want to apologize on behalf of the Duke of Xemburg, he wouldn’t be joining us today."

The crowd was silent as if they didn’t care about the duke. Just having the chairman of the Farmers here alone was enough for them.

Seeing no reaction from the crowd, the chairman continued.

"Now I would only say this. Bring me the criminals and the item they stole. Those who are able to complete this task on time would be rewarded drastically."
