Chapter 11 : Rainstorm Night
Chapter 11: Rainstorm Night
After letting those two Exiled Sinners go back to rest, Eluan turned around and issued orders to Cade and the two Black Wolves.
“You all go out together. If you encounter monsters you can handle, kill them.”
“Right now?” Cade was startled.
“Yes, Mr. Cade, do your best.” The girl smiled cutely.
“No problem!”
“Oh right, if you feel like you can’t win, don’t take risks unless the monster gets too close to our house.”
“I’ll be careful. I guarantee I’ll complete the mission!”
The guy excitedly patted his chest, then called out to the two Black Wolves and prepared to head out.
It was clear that the Black Wolves didn’t really obey the orders of Exiled Sinners. Only after receiving instructions from Su Wen or Eluan did they reluctantly comply.
For the next hour or so, Su Wen kept watching the patrol situation the entire time.
Two wolves and one man encountered three battles.
The first two were all lone beasts—complete victories.
But in the last encounter, they actually ran into two Gray Wolves at the same time.
What surprised him was that in less than a minute, those two wild monsters were completely killed.
“With just Cade alone, that’s absolutely impossible. My Black Wolves seem really strong.”
Far stronger than Exiled Sinners.
Those extra 10 points were definitely worth it.
However, as humans, Exiled Sinners could be equipped with better weapons. If they wore armor and wielded blades, they might be able to surpass the Black Wolves.
But that would significantly increase the cost.
“Going forward, I’ll focus on Black Wolves.”
The second one’s Loyalty had reached 68 points, surpassing the first.
This result undoubtedly made Su Wen trust these animals even more.
Time passed into the latter half of the night.
Under the instructions of Su Wen and Eluan, Cade and the two Black Wolves truly patrolled for several hours.
Although exhausted, they remained dutiful.
But around three or four in the morning, a brutal battle directly resulted in the death of one Black Wolf.
The remaining one man and one wolf staggered back.
Su Wen immediately handed over the bandages he had prepared earlier.
While wrapping his wounds, Cade looked around in surprise.
In such a short time, Su Wen had already recruited three more Black Wolves.
Clearly, the territory’s energy resources had already formed a positive cycle.
Compared to humans, the Loyalty of Black Wolves indeed didn’t drop easily. Even after being so badly injured, it still wagged its tail without a single complaint.
In contrast, Cade’s Loyalty had dropped by three to four points.
It wasn’t that Su Wen was harsh, but under the pressure of survival, he didn’t dare waste even a bit of time.
In the chat group, quite a few people were still personally leading explorations in the middle of the night.
Some had already lost their lives or suffered serious injuries.
Compared to them, Su Wen was relatively cautious.
Yet because of the Black Wolves, his exploration efficiency wasn’t necessarily lower than theirs.
“Time to sleep.”
Yawning, he returned to the wooden hut.
Lowering his head, he saw the girl curled up, lying on the wooden planks.
Su Wen stared for a moment, took a deep breath, and didn’t do anything to his sleeping self. Instead, he quietly lay down beside her.
……
Boom—crack!
Thunder exploded.
In the latter half of the night, heavy rain poured down.
Su Wen and Eluan, who were asleep, were awakened by the thunder and opened their eyes at the same time.
Pitter-patter!
Raindrops struck the crude wooden hut, seeping through the gaps between the planks and pouring inside.
He finally understood what it meant for a leaking roof to be met with overnight rain.
Drip, drip!
Water droplets fell onto his forehead, icy cold.
Su Wen felt fine, but the lightly dressed girl subconsciously curled tighter, trembling slightly.
She walked to the window, gently pushed open the wooden panel, and looked outside.
Water immediately splashed in, forcing her to shut it again.
But in that brief moment, she saw the scene outside.
Wailing winds and howling ghosts!
Blinding lightning tore through the clouds overhead, illuminating the entire land.
Countless trees swayed in the wind, everything shrouded in hazy rain mist.
Fortunately, the wind wasn’t too strong, and the hut only swayed slightly. Outside, a shallow layer of rainwater had already accumulated on the ground.
The girl instinctively glanced beside the wooden planks she sat on. Water had already seeped in through the cracks along the wall.
“This is really bad.”
She hurried to the side, pushed open the door, and saw the three wolves all turn their heads, their dim red eyes staring at her.
“You’re all getting soaked.”
One of them was injured. Looking at the bandages wrapped around it, she realized getting wet might cause infection. To avoid affecting combat strength, the girl beckoned to it. “You come in.”
The wolf immediately ran in happily.
Door shut!
“You lie down over there.”
It seemed they wouldn’t be sleeping tonight.
Eluan yawned and returned beside her main body.
The sound of rain made it impossible for either of them to fall asleep.
As more and more water leaked in, their clothes quickly became soaked.
Su Wen was fine, but on the girl’s side, her clothes clung to her skin, faintly turning semi-transparent.
Through the fabric, the straps of her bra could be seen across her back. The soaked stockings tightly adhered to her skin, revealing a faint, alluring flesh tone.
Su Wen couldn’t help but swallow.
His heart stirred.
The fatal part was that because their senses were shared, the moment one side felt it, the other side experienced the same feeling simultaneously.
“Damn it, in this kind of environment, what am I even thinking?”
He shook his head hard, stood up, and forced himself to calm down.
On the girl’s side, she pressed her hand against her chest and took deep breaths.
Perhaps she used too much force, because she quickly felt a trace of… a peculiar sensation.
Eluan: “……”
She knocked her own head and muttered, “Stop thinking nonsense!”
She shifted her attention to the Black Wolf beside her.
Suddenly, her eyes lit up.
“Come here.”
The Black Wolf obediently approached.
Then Eluan leaped up and lay directly on its back.
“Not bad, nice and fluffy.”
Unfortunately, it was wet, so the texture wasn’t great.
At least her legs wouldn’t have to soak in water anymore.
A girl’s body was still more fragile than a boy’s, and Su Wen didn’t quite know how to take care of this body, so he seemed somewhat at a loss.
The two leaned back-to-back, resting on the wolf’s back.
The next morning…
The rain was still falling.
Looking at their drenched selves, he (she) couldn’t help but laugh helplessly.
“Well, damn.”
Then, right in front of him, the girl slowly wiped the water from her hair, bent down, placed her hands on the black stockings on her legs, and twisted hard.
A string of crystal-like droplets fell to the ground.
Then she wrung out her skirt…
“Phew~”
This charm was truly outrageous.
