Chapter 1 : Fantasy Symbiosis
Chapter 1: Fantasy Symbiosis
“Ugh, my head hurts.”
It hurt so much it felt like it was about to explode.
As if a saw were grinding back and forth inside his skull with a creaking rasp.
Su Wen knocked on his forehead and struggled to open his eyes.
Only after the lingering buzzing in his mind faded did he have the energy to pay attention to what was in front of him.
What came into view was a dense forest.
The air was filled with a rotten stench, like cheese that had fermented for many years, making him nauseous. Unknown plants spread their leaves like giant umbrellas, blocking out the sky, leaving only a few beams of light filtering through.
“Where… is this?”
He froze for a moment, instinctively trying to prop himself up, but his palm pressed into something soft, mushy, and slippery.
“Feels like… it’s moving?”
The bizarre sensation made his scalp tingle.
He lowered his head to look.
It was a human face.
A dead face, already swollen pale and bloated, resembling a corpse in an advanced stage of decay!
“Holy shit!”
Su Wen shouted and scrambled backward with both hands and feet.
“Calm down, calm down…”
As a corporate slave who had worked 996 for years, Su Wen believed his adaptability was strong.
He forced himself to look at the corpse again.
It was a man, with a broken wooden stick lodged into his chest, as if it had been forcefully pierced through by some monstrous strength.
The corpse wore an ordinary shirt and was still tightly clutching a smartphone. The screen was shattered to pieces, and two green vines were wrapped around it.
A smartphone?
Was this still Earth?
Su Wen looked downward and saw a watch on the corpse’s wrist.
It looked high-end, with a faintly sci-fi design. A blinking red light indicated that it was still operating.
Thinking it might contain important information, Su Wen suppressed the churning in his stomach and, with trembling hands, pried open the corpse’s stiff fingers.
“Sorry, brother. You won’t be needing it anymore anyway.”
He took the watch and moved a good distance away.
Beep!
A needle suddenly extended and pricked his finger.
【Information scan complete.】
【Name: Su Wen.】
【Location: Starry Sky Great Forest (Edge)】
【Warning: 71 hours 14 minutes remaining until the first “Black Tide” descends.】
“Starry Sky Great Forest… Black Tide…”
Before Su Wen could process these terms, a rapidly scrolling chat window appeared on the watch screen.
“My leg has been used by insects to lay eggs, I’m done for. Is there a less painful way to die?”
“Are we all from Earth? Are the ones chatting with me impostors? Am I the only real person left?”
“Dude, stop talking. I think you’re fake too.”
“Don’t drink water from rivers. Don’t ask anyone for help unless they’re from the Empire.”
“Waaah, I want to go home…”
“Did all Earthlings come here? Did a super-fast meteor really hit our planet?”
Su Wen swallowed.
He roughly understood his situation.
He had transmigrated.
The people connected through the watch were likely others who had transmigrated like him.
Some said that before the transmigration, Earth had been struck by an unbelievably fast meteor.
Most importantly, nearly everyone had a watch, through which they could unlock their potential.
Su Wen took a deep breath and began studying the watch on his wrist.
Before long, he discovered the relevant function.
【Do you wish to activate your potential?】
【Potential is the power hidden deep within your body. It originates from your mind and your talents.】
“I’ll give it a try.”
Completely confused, he could only follow the instructions.
Beep!
A needle suddenly extended from beneath the watch and pierced his skin.
A strange energy spread from his finger throughout his entire body, eventually converging in his brain.
A line of text appeared on the screen:
【Congratulations, potential activated: Fantasy Symbiosis (???, Unique)】
【Effect: 1. Consume 1 Fantasy Crystal to create a girl with fantasy traits (automatically gain one initially). 2. Fantasy girls gain additional bonuses as they grow.】
【Description: Just as God created humans while looking into a mirror, you create your own shadows.】
【Rating: Black, unassessable (Growth-type)】
“What is this? Unassessable?”
As his body gradually recovered, he stared at the display in astonishment.
It sounded powerful.
But before he could react, a sharp pain suddenly struck.
“Ah!”
Su Wen clutched his head in agony.
His vision blurred, and a buzzing sound filled his ears.
The intense pain lasted for more than ten seconds.
Soon, the pain faded, replaced by an unprecedented, strange sensation.
It was as if… he suddenly had two perspectives.
One perspective came from himself sitting on the ground, holding his head.
And the other perspective…
Su Wen suddenly lifted his head.
About two meters away, in a clearing covered with fallen leaves, stood a girl quietly.
Her features were delicate and refined, her skin fair and smooth. A cascade of soft black hair flowed down to her chest.
She wore an exquisite black top, exposing two slender, fair arms. Below, she had on a black pleated skirt, making her appear especially captivating in the dim forest.
Su Wen’s gaze unconsciously moved downward.
Beneath the skirt, her slender legs were tightly wrapped in thin black pantyhose, outlining perfect curves.
She wore black leather boots, with a delicate silver chain hanging from her right ankle, and a black thigh ring strapped around her left thigh.
This outfit… didn’t look like something that should appear in a primitive forest at all. Instead, it reminded him of a top-tier cosplayer at a convention.
No, he had never seen anyone cosplay this well. It was as if fantasy had stepped into reality.
In short, she was a bit cute, and a bit… alluring?
But…
That wasn’t what Su Wen was focused on right now.
Because…
“This is me?”
He showed a shocked expression. With a thought, he tried to control the girl to raise her right hand.
There was no delay, as natural as controlling his own body.
The black-haired girl across from him expressionlessly raised her slender arm, spread her fingers, and grasped at the air.
The cool breeze brushing past her fingertips, the sensation of her boots pressing into the soft soil, and the tightness of the thigh ring digging into her flesh—all of it was clearly transmitted back to Su Wen’s mind.
Two bodies, one consciousness.
“Holy shit.”
Su Wen understood the situation. Both his main body and his clone blurted out the same exclamation.
One was a low male voice, the other a pleasant girl’s voice.
The two voices overlapped, unexpectedly harmonious.
Su Wen (female) subconsciously covered her mouth, clearly surprised by the sound of her own voice.
“This voice… actually sounds pretty nice.”
Su Wen awkwardly commented on himself.
This was outrageous.
After awakening this potential, he had gained an extra body.
And judging from the description, it seemed there could be even more in the future?
Taking a deep breath and adjusting his mindset, he controlled the girl clone to walk a few steps, getting used to his current state.
