Chapter 44: The First Kiss
[POV – Luan]
At the edge of the lake, I held Catharina’s delicate hand while we looked at the stars.
The sky was very clear that night, and you could clearly see the starry sky.
The weather was neither hot nor cold.
The hand that held hers began to sweat a little.
I admit I was feeling more nervous than usual.
Touching my hand to my pocket, there was the real reason for my nervousness.
Suddenly, an event that was an annual occurrence in my world began to happen.
’Meteor shower...’
"How beautiful..." Catharina marveled at the scene.
That scene captivated me and filled me with happiness and anticipation.
"Luan?"
Confused by the fact that I knelt on one knee, Catharina gave me a curious look.
"Catharina." I began – taking something from my pocket.
"Y-Yes!" Her voice rose a little.
She didn’t seem to understand my actions, but she seemed to have a certain premonition.
Holding her hand gently, I looked into her beautiful golden eyes, saying: "I had many things prepared to say to you at this moment, but the instant I actually did it, just by looking at you, the words slipped away, and all I can think about is how much I love you! Catharina, will you be my legitimate wife?"
In her eyes, an indescribable glow shone. It was even more beautiful than the meteor shower.
Amid tears, she threw herself into my arms: "Yes, yes! A million times yes!"
All the nervousness I felt left me, and what came in return was genuine happiness.
Wrapping my arms around her waist, returning the embrace, my voice sounded deep when I said: "Thank goodness... For a moment I worried you might say no."
"How could I say no?" She pulled back to look into my eyes: "I love you, and all I want most is to be your woman~!"
Feeling the sincerity in her words and gaze, seeing her beautiful face smiling at me, my heart began to beat even faster.
Tightening my hold, almost as if I wanted our bodies to merge in that embrace, I leaned in, pressing my lips against her soft and sweet lips.
I saw the look of surprise she gave when I did that, but she didn’t refuse, she was just surprised before pressing her lips against mine as well, clumsily, not knowing what to do next.
I licked her lips with my tongue, introducing my tongue between her lips.
Perhaps having understood something, she parted her lips slightly, allowing my access to her mouth.
I pressed my lips against hers, pulling lightly, releasing, making an erotic smack, I went back to her sweet and desirable lips, this time introducing my tongue into her mouth, seeking her tongue.

Catharina had no experience, she simply imitated me clumsily.

Coming back to myself, I remembered that I still hadn’t given her the ring I had prepared.
Taking it from my pocket, I said: "Catharina, as a symbol of my love for you, I would like to give you this ring, do you accept?"
Unfamiliar with my customs, she nodded, even though I noticed her confusion, which I found particularly cute.
Smiling, I explained.
When I finished explaining the true meaning of this ring, she quickly extended her hand to me.
Holding her hand, I placed the gold ring with a shining stone set in a claw that somewhat resembles rose petals.
When I finished placing the ring on her finger, she raised her hand to the starry sky, and murmured emotionally: "So beautiful~!"
"I’m glad you liked it." I smiled.
"I loved it!" She pressed her lips against mine, pulling away with a happy and shy smile, she said in a sweet tone: "T-Thank you, husband~"

I held my breath.
I felt my face heat up, melting when I heard her call me husband in such a sweet way.
Looking at the sky with her in my arms, even though it wasn’t the first time I hugged her, it was still a different experience now.
Deep down, I knew it was a life simulation, but at some point, or since the beginning, I never felt like it was just a simple life simulation.
To me, all of that was real. Catharina was real.
Even if at some point I won’t be able to stay with her anymore, having to return to my reality... I don’t want to betray the feelings I have for her simply out of fear that one day I will lose her.
Putting those thoughts aside for now, I focused on enjoying the moment.
Her sweet scent, along with the gentle breeze, and the starry sky, created a very pleasant atmosphere between the two of us.
"Luan..." Catharina’s voice sounded even sweeter and softer than before when she asked me: "Should we... Shouldn’t we consummate the marriage?"
When she asked me that, her face flushed red.
I couldn’t even imagine how much courage she had to gather to ask me that kind of question.
At the same time, my heart raced.
Those words were like the recitation of a siren’s spell drawing me to the sea. I felt hypnotized, but I did my best to control myself, trying not to show too much how nervous and excited I became upon hearing those words from her.
"Yes." I answered simply with my voice rougher.
