Chapter 23: The Supreme Judgment Force That Purges All Evil!
Facing the murderous intent that had once again revealed itself on Li Kainan, Carabosse assumed it was directed at Prince Adam, and immediately urged:
"Go on then—present his head, and I will bestow upon you everything you desire!"
Prince Adam also swallowed hard and said hastily:
"We have fought side by side for so many years—you would not betray our friendship……right?"
Prince Adam was clearly not particularly confident in that.
After all, what they called "fighting side by side for many years" was something that had only happened within that dream illusion……
And the moment his words fell, he saw that Li Kainan had already raised the magnificent Knight's Sword in his hand.
Prince Adam's heart seized with fear, and he instinctively stepped back several paces—only to discover to his astonishment that Li Kainan was not coming for him at all.
Li Kainan erupted into motion directly, the terrifying power throughout his entire body surging outward, his figure so fast it simply vanished from where he had been standing.
The air across the entire castle hall condensed at once, and all that swept through was a terrifying gust of wind wrapped in ferocious Killing Intent.

Across the blade's edge, cold as ice, a radiance lit up—one sufficient to drive away all evil.
The pure white sacred light was so dazzling that every ghastly green shadow within sight was thoroughly dyed into the color of brilliance!
And in the very instant Li Kainan activated Evil-Breaking Force, Carabosse sensed from him a formidable power unlike anything she had felt before—one that posed an extreme threat to her.
Even the hellfire power buried deep within her soul trembled before it!
It was as though……
The supreme judgment force capable of utterly purging all filth and evil from the world had descended upon the mortal realm!
The green hellfire that surrounded Carabosse had been her greatest trump card.
But faced with the pure white sacred Evil-Breaking Force, it encountered its natural nemesis.
Beneath the illumination of that pure white sacred brilliance, it dissolved directly into scattered sparks and dissipated.
The sword's edge cleaved through the air and bore down straight toward Carabosse, startling her into hurriedly retreating.
After all, being a mage class, once someone closed in on her it was hard not to fall into a panic.
As Carabosse retreated, in her fluster she somehow stepped on the trailing hem of her own black robe, and immediately stumbled and fell to the ground.
Though this fortuitously allowed her to dodge Li Kainan's sword thrust aimed straight for her throat, it left her in an utterly wretched state.
A witch as powerful as Carabosse, ruthless in her methods and petty by nature—others might not dare get close to her, but they always treated her with respect and caution, never daring to offend her.
When had she ever found herself in such a wretched situation?
At this moment Carabosse felt nothing but rage and humiliation, and she glared at Li Kainan with vicious intensity.
She had barely opened her mouth to hurl some harsh words when she saw Li Kainan swing his sword toward her again—her body abruptly burst apart into a mass of ghastly green flame, vanishing from where she stood before reappearing more than 10 meters away.
Having gotten back on her feet, Carabosse forcefully suppressed her fury, maintaining her haughty composure on the surface, as though the person who had just sprawled ungracefully across the floor had not been her at all.
However, in her hand there had now appeared a Magic Wand with a crystal set into its tip, suffused with evil power.
"How truly dreadful—not only have you refused my goodwill, you have even had the audacity to offend me!"
Driven by fury, the formidable magical power within Carabosse's body began surging wildly, transforming into countless wisps of purple mist that swirled around her.
Across the Magic Wand, a purple hellish lightning force began to coil and crackle.
"I will punish you—I will make you die suffering through the most agonizing torment……"
Carabosse was still spewing her trash talk, while Li Kainan at this moment was obviously not about to stand quietly and wait for her to finish.
Drawing upon his physical power—so formidable it approached the divine—Li Kainan erupted into motion and surged toward her, his movements so fast that no one's eyes could capture his figure.
Carabosse sensed the threat once more, and again her body burst apart into green flame, then she blinked directly behind Li Kainan.
All that could be heard was a thunderous BOOM as the hellish lightning bolt was fired with tremendous force.
The lightning, carrying within it the evil power of hell, raged wildly, and wherever it passed it seemed as though even the very space around it was scorched into distorted ripples.
Li Kainan spun sharply around and raised his sword in a swing before the purple lightning came crashing down.
The pure white sacred radiance coiled around the blade, bestowing upon that magnificent Knight's Sword—forged by modern craftsmanship—the power to break through all evil!
The next moment, the pure white sacred radiance and the purple hellish lightning collided together.
There was no prolonged deadlock—both sides had barely finished colliding before the outcome was decided in an instant.
Evil-Breaking Force directly overpowered that power from hell!
The sword wind split through the air, and that raging, wicked purple hellish lightning was cleaved apart by a single sword strike, then shattered into countless fragmented lightning serpents that scattered in all directions.
After cleaving through the hellish lightning with a single stroke, Li Kainan's body once again dissolved into an afterimage and vanished.
All that could be seen was the pure white sacred radiance breaking straight through the countless fragmented purple lightning serpents scattered around the area, and driving straight for Carabosse.
Carabosse's figure continued to burst apart into green flame, and relying on her Blink Skill she once again evaded Li Kainan's sword.
Li Kainan's brow tightened, and he located Carabosse's position again and swung his sword in attack.
I don't believe it—even if she can keep using her Blink Skill without pause, there must be some consumption involved. Surely her magical power can't be infinite?
Carabosse bit down and blinked again to dodge the sword.

Both of them, holding nearly identical thoughts at this moment, continued wearing each other down.
Though Carabosse was a glass-cannon mage, she possessed a Blink Skill with no cooldown, making it extremely difficult for a warrior like Li Kainan to close in on her.
And Li Kainan had Evil-Breaking Force—no matter how powerful Carabosse's hellish magic was, it simply could not do anything to him.
The situation was temporarily a standoff where neither could gain the upper hand, and in the end it all came down to whether Carabosse's magical power was deeper, or Li Kainan's stamina was greater……
Seeing both sides locked in a stalemate, Prince Adam—who had stayed behind earlier intending to face the enemy alongside Li Kainan—actually felt his chance had come!
He seized the moment and picked up the Knight's Battle Axe Li Kainan had thrown earlier, then hurled it toward Carabosse.
Prince Adam's aim was decent enough—the Knight's Battle Axe came whirling straight for Carabosse's head.
If all went smoothly, this Knight's Battle Axe would successfully claim the heads of 2 witches today……

The moment the Knight's Battle Axe drew close to Carabosse's body, it was consumed by the green hellfire, dissolving directly into a pool of molten iron.
