There was a stir before we pulled up. The flyers could see us at least as far along as we could see them, so they had all descended to ground level by the time we arrived. About a hundred people here, mostly kids, with a handful of teens about our ages, and a couple of senior-citizen types mixed in. The grayhairs were hovering behind, unwilling to put their bones back on solid ground. But the kids, especially the school-aged kids, were lined up near the road looking nervous and mortified.
