The rest of the day at Dandston was painful. The actors at the amphitheater had been in training for a different production than the one she demanded, but they were able to put it together on short notice. Her demands were unpredictable, arbitrary, impatient and grueling, with a nasty sense of perfectionist criticism. She would pay well wherever she went, but from the reactions we were seeing I don't think that most interactions with her were very positive at all.
