Gacha Harem System

Chapter 77: Finally Stingy

Lukas woke up slowly, feeling incredibly well rested. His eyes fluttered open at the same time as the little aches in his body made themselves known.

He frowned, right before the memories of the previous night resurfaced in his head. A wide grin came upon his face and he sat up.

He glanced to the side to see Melody sleeping beside him, naked as the day she was born. Her chest rose and fell slowly, the movement making her breasts look more appealing.

He smiled as memories of popping them in his mouth and having fun with it entered his head.

He turned away to the other side of the bed to see it empty. That was when the door to the bathroom opened and Akira walked out.

She was currently toweling her hair, the rest of her naked. She grinned at the sight of him awake. "Hey, handsome."

"Good morning, pervert." He returned the grin. "Had a good sleep?"

"Better than good." She answered, walking closer. Her breasts jiggled with every step she took.

That was when he noticed that she was walking funny, and a proud smile appeared on his face.

"It felt nice to finally blow off some steam. And while yesterday was my first time, I could tell you’re a master at it." She said.

"Let me guess," he grinned cockily. "You felt things others had never even mentioned before?"

"Wow," she chuckled. "When did you learn to read minds?"

"Right when I had you bent over my cock." He replied.

"And you call me the pervert." She scoffed.

"Don’t try to act holy with me, woman." He grinned. "Or else you’re getting nothing from me tonight."

Her smile turned sweet, and her actions turned demure. She fluttered her eyelashes at him. "Sorry, master. I am a little pervert. I’m your little slut."

"Now that’s more like it."

They both chuckled.

Akira stowed the towel in her spatial ring, fishing out her clothes. She stared at it with a critical eye.

"I’ll have to go shopping with Melody. I really need new clothes. Most of what I have are super functional military clothes. It’ll be good to feel like a woman again." She paused. "We might even make it into a girl’s only shopping trip."

"What? I’m too handsome to come along?" He chuckled.

"We don’t need you getting glimpses of the sexy underwear we’re preparing for tonight. Or do you not want the surprise?" She asked, a knowing look in her eyes.

"Very well," he raised his hands in defeat. "Girls only shopping trip it is."

"What about you? What are you going to do?" She asked. "Hunt outside the city walls?"

He exhaled, turning to look at the sun rays streaming in through the small gap in the curtains. "I think I’ll just go on a few dungeon runs. Getting even more money wouldn’t hurt."

"That reminds me," he stood from the bed. "You and Melody would have to visit the pavilions and see about selling those Nemean Lion hides we got."

"Aye, aye, Captain." She saluted.

As he passed by her, he gave her ass a light squeeze, getting a chuckle out of her. Then he was in the bathroom, preparing for a new day.

Lukas stood before the spatial gate of the C-rank dungeon, Zipper Cave.

Melody and Akira had left him at the door to the hotel after breakfast, already deep in conversation about whatever they intended to buy.

He’d watched them go with a smile, then turned to the dungeon district.

And now, here he was, about to solo a dungeon he’d faced once before. But now, he was a new man. A more powerful one.

He stepped through the spatial gate, a white light enveloping him. Then he appeared in the familiar entrance hall, four entrances leading into the space.

He chose one at random and began walking. This time, he didn’t run. He simply walked at an even pace, taking his time.

Two Zipper Bears came out of the nearest side passage at full speed, their bodies blurring with speed that had, on his first visit to this dungeon, been genuinely threatening.

Now they looked slow.

He leaned to the side as the first one reached him, its claws passing through air, and drew his sword, slashing through it in the same motion.

The bear separated at the torso and both halves continued forward with its momentum, splatting against the wall.

He turned his wrist and slashed upwards on the backswing, beheading the second bear in an instant.

[You have killed a C-rank Zipper Bear (x2).]

He sheathed his sword as he kept walking.

Whenever he came to a fork, he chose one at random, and as the beasts appeared before him, some in pairs, and others in a group of three or more, he killed them without breaking stride.

As he moved through the network of caves, he didn’t even activate a single skill.

All he had was the [Cursed Blade] that was passively infused in his sword, its dark energy wafting off the steel without any conscious input from him.

But beyond that, he was working with nothing but his overwhelming stats and basic swordsmanship.

When he finally reached the boss room, the hall was quiet.

There were no straggler bears following him in, or any sounds from the passages. He’d apparently been thorough enough on the way through.

The Zipper Buff Bear lay in the center of the hall, its chest rising and falling as it pretended to sleep.

He chuckled at the sight, then he dashed forward.

The bear came awake fast, faster than any other bear Lukas had faced, but its speed was relative.

And relative to Lukas’ current speed, the bear’s response time left a window of space that was more than sufficient.

His sword sheared through the boss in a single stroke before it had even fully risen.

[You have killed a C-rank Zipper Buff Bear.]

He smiled as the translucent blue box was replaced by another notification.

[Congratulations! C-rank dungeon, Zipper Cave, successfully cleared!]

[Calculating contributions...]

[Rankings:]

[1. Lukas (MVP)]

[Distributing rewards...]

[Congratulations! You have received: 8,000 gold coins, ten Zipper Buff Bear claws, ten bear pelts.]

He stared at the rewards for a moment.

In the space where he’d been expecting to see a reward of Agility and Strength, there was nothing.

"Finally, huh?" He chuckled.

He’d be lying if he said he hadn’t been expecting this.

Everyone knew dungeons were not infinitely generous with their stat distributions.

The early generosity he’d benefited from, which were the large bonuses that had come from being a new Awakener soloing dungeons, had a natural endpoint.

The dungeon was usually more lenient against new Awakeners and had rewarded him accordingly.

Now that the grace period was over, the rewards had come to reflect that.

He wasn’t disappointed. After all, he’d extracted everything the dungeons had to offer in terms of stats. What remained was income, and income was still useful.

He stored the rewards in his spatial ring.

White light enveloped him, and he found himself standing outside the spatial gate again.

He stared at the gate for a moment before walking into it again. Just because he wouldn’t be receiving as many stats as before, that didn’t mean he couldn’t keep farming for money.

What else would he be using to pay for the future shopping trips his wives would be going on? After all, he doubted this would be the last one.
