Infinite Ascension: 100,000x Amplified

Chapter 55: The Great Theft 2

Laws. A full complete set, crystalline and accessible, not at 40% or 45% but at levels his past lives had reached in their respective universes — some at 80%, some at 90%, some complete. They arrived not as vague impressions but as full technical knowledge, how to wield them, how to fuse them, how to combine principles in combinations that could reshape reality.

Law fusion techniques. The actual methods, not the theoretical awareness that he lacked mastery. The specific comprehension of how Space and Time interlocked at their roots, how Fire and Plasma were expressions of the same deeper principle, how Death and Life were not opposites but two faces of the same fundamental rule.

Rules. Above laws — deeper, more fundamental principles that governed the laws themselves. His unlocked memories carried comprehension of Rules ranging from 40% to 70%, and with his newly amplified Celestial Cognizance processing them, most were already automatically advancing. Some were approaching perfection in the minutes since the seal broke. A few were advancing further still, touching the edge of Principles — the tier above Rules, where the fundamental architecture of existence itself became visible and workable.

The Celestial Cognizance was doing this automatically. He didn’t have to think about it. The knowledge arrived and the upgraded comprehension processed it, refined it, identified the optimizations, and integrated it at a speed that would have been impossible without the 100,000x amplification.

And at the center of all of it — the memory he had been building toward without knowing it — was the truth.

He was not a person who had reincarnated many times.

He was something that had reached the absolute peak of existence, had stood at the top of everything a universe could offer and looked at eternity stretching forward and found it to be essentially a very large empty room. And rather than stop, he had chosen to loop.

He had built the mechanism himself before the first cycle began. A reincarnation system, randomized each time: human, demon, god, slime, fly, fish, scholar, emperor, whatever the cosmic dice produced. Each life sealed from the others so the experience remained genuine — so each incarnation truly was what it appeared to be, living without the weight of every other life making authentic choice impossible.

The Unlimited Amplification was his own creation. Built before the first loop and embedded as a talent, a tool to help each incarnation grow without revealing what it was. A gift from his peak self to all his future selves.

The memories had been intended to surface gradually. One realm advancement at a time, small controlled releases, a slow awakening that would let each incarnation grow into the knowledge rather than being drowned by it. By the time a life reached the peak of cultivation in any given universe, the full picture would have assembled itself naturally.

He had scheduled his own revelation across an entire cultivation journey.

And then in his bedroom at three in the morning he had decided to steal origin essence from his own system because it seemed efficient, and undone forty percent of the plan in one night.

He sat with all of it — the demon lord’s garden, the slime’s cave, the empress’s ceiling, the fly’s nine extraordinary days — and found that it felt less like revelation and more like finding a room in his house he had always known was there but hadn’t opened yet.

Nova sat with the full weight of everything he now knew pressing gently against his awareness — seventeen lifetimes, techniques from civilizations that no longer existed, laws at comprehensions that should have taken centuries to reach, the complete picture of what he was assembled in a single night instead of across an entire cultivation journey.

He thought about the author.

Somewhere out there, in whatever layer of existence sat above this story, someone had spent considerable time writing an outline. A careful, detailed outline. Realm progressions mapped out Chapter by Chapter. Power scaling calculated. Plot beats arranged in a satisfying sequence. Secrets seeded for gradual revelation — his mother, his bloodline, his past lives, his true nature — each one meant to land at precisely the right dramatic moment across hundreds of Chapters of carefully paced storytelling.

I just unlocked forty percent of it in one night, he thought. Because I stole essence from my own system.

He could almost feel it — the outline, somewhere above the fourth wall, quietly dissolving. Character arcs collapsing ahead of schedule. Carefully planned reveals arriving all at once in a single messy flood instead of in their individually crafted moments. The author staring at a document full of planned Chapter beats that had just become irrelevant.

Sorry, he thought, in the general direction of upward.

He wasn’t very sorry.

[Author’s Note]:

You absolute menace.

Do you have any idea how long I spent on that outline? The careful planning? The meticulous Chapter-by-Chapter progression I had mapped out? The slow burn reveals about your, your bloodline, your past lives — all of it arranged with surgical precision across what was going to be a beautifully paced story arc?

Gone. All of it. In one Chapter.

Because you decided to steal essence from your own system at three in the morning.

I had SO many Chapters planned. SO many. A whole document full of outlines and plot beats and carefully seeded mysteries. It was beautiful. It was detailed. It was...

...okay fine. There was no outline.

There was never an outline.

I have been writing this entirely from vibes and the general feeling that something cool should happen next. Every single Chapter. The whole time.

But YOU don’t know that. And the readers don’t know that. So as far as everyone is concerned, I had a magnificent five-hundred-Chapter plan and you just destroyed it with your shameless essence theft, and I am very upset about it.

Very.

Upset.

...

Okay I’m not upset. This Chapter wrote itself and I had a great time. But still. Have some respect for the narrative.

Sorion (definitely had plans, absolutely, many plans, so many)

He was still Nova Stern. Still seventeen. Still facing an apocalypse in three years with cells that were fully converted but largely empty, his transformation one of quality rather than quantity. The cellular structure was now capable of holding vastly more energy than before. It currently held very little of it.

I need to cultivate, he thought. A lot.

The practical reality of his situation had not changed. He had better tools. He had the knowledge. But knowledge without energy was a sword without an edge. His cells were perfect empty vessels waiting to be filled, and filling them was going to require resources on a scale that made his previous cultivation sessions look casual.

He checked his body and immediately identified the secondary problem. The cellular conversion had generated purification refuse — corrupted matter, dead cellular material, crystallized impurities — compressed and held back unconsciously throughout the transformation. The quantity was significant. If he released it in his bedroom the mansion would not survive.

He vanished.

His fully converted Chaotic Origin Energy Lifeform body moved at speeds that the previous version of him could not have managed, treating distance as a suggestion rather than a constraint. One moment he was in the bedroom. The next he was above the atmosphere. He kept going until Earth was a blue sphere several hundred thousand kilometers behind him.

Here.

He stopped suppressing.

The release propagated outward in a spherical shockwave — compressed purification refuse erupting simultaneously into empty space. Black spatial fractures spread through the vacuum. The shockwave expanded to hundreds of thousands of kilometers, space cracking along the propagation front, dimensional barriers fracturing under the pressure.

To Nova, it was trash. To any cultivator below King-Tier who somehow encountered it drifting through the outer solar system, it would have been resource wealth that could fund centuries of advancement.

He watched it dissipate into the void.

Then he looked back at Earth, small and blue and unaware, and pulled up his status panel.

[Status Panel]

*[Soul: 40% unsealed — past life memories, techniques, law fusion methods, Rule comprehensions (40-70%) and early Principle comprehensions now accessible. Celestial Cognizance auto-processing and refining all unlocked knowledge.]

*[Laws: All laws now accessible at previous life peak comprehension levels. Law fusion techniques unlocked. Rule comprehension accessible. Some Rules advancing toward Principles under Celestial Cognizance processing.]

*[Cellular Status: Full Chaotic Origin Energy Lifeform. Quality transformation complete. Energy content: minimal. Requires extensive cultivation to fill cellular capacity.]

*[System Note: The unauthorized origin essence diversion has been patched. We think. Subject is advised that further loopholes in the upgrade mechanism will be closed on discovery. The system wishes to note that this situation was entirely unprecedented and we were doing our best. Please cultivate normally. Thank you.]

Nova read the system note for a long moment.

Then he looked at the sun, 150 million kilometers ahead of him, burning with the patient confidence of a star that had been there since before life existed on the planet behind him.

His cells were empty. The sun was full of energy.

Alright, he thought. We will fill them up later.

Now came the assessment.

Nova turned his attention inward, examining his transformed self with his newly enhanced Celestial Cognizance.

Let’s see what exactly I’ve become.
