Chapter 51: Ch-51: Potential Customer (2)
Gulp.
Victor swallowed hard, sweat dripping down, and took a step back when he saw the hungry gaze Amber was directing at him.
Perhaps Amber noticed her improper behavior, calmed herself down, and said in a serious tone, "Victor, I am very impressed by the mechs. Name the price—I want them all and want to place additional orders to equip the entire army with these mechs."
Sophie, who heard this, wanted to interject and remind her that she needed her father’s permission, but stopped and looked at the mechs. Yeah, I don’t think the court will object.
’Damn, I need to inform my father. This... this is very bad for us,’ Andrew had a grim look on his face, and his back was drenched in sweat as he looked at the soldiers. The mechs had already made him fearful of Victor, and he dreaded the consequences of the Light Barony army facing against the Silvernum Barony in the future.
Victor looked at Amber, rubbed his chin, and pondered, The higher the price, the more experience I will get thanks to the new feature—but making it too expensive will deter them.
[Ding Dong]

Victor stiffened when he saw this and frowned, then used his pupil technique on the mech.
[Long Sword Knight Mech]
[Converter Price: 100,000 Gold Coins]
[Experience per sale: 2000]
"Tsk," Victor clicked his tongue as his plan to gain a massive amount of experience was ruined.
Victor looked at Amber and replied, "100,000 gold coins per mech."
Hearing the price, Amber simply nodded and did not say anything, but Andrew could not help but feel anxious and said. "Hey, cousin, isn’t the price too outrageous?"
He was already planning to equip the Light Barony army with these mechs, but now, hearing the price, he could not help but panic. Even though they were wealthy, if the price was 100,000, they could not afford to equip the entire army, and that’s not outcome he wished for.
"Outrageous? I think not—it’s quite cheap. If you can’t afford it, don’t bother. Amber, what do you think?" Victor said with a disdainful expression, which caused Andrew to become furious and he was about to say something but was stopped by Amber’s cold gaze that bore into him.
Amber looked at Victor with a smile and said, "No, I think the price is reasonable. Compared to other weapons, this is more powerful, cheaper, and more effective."
Amber was right—if they were going to buy a weapon with the same capability, it would cost at least ten times more than this, and for the Oreburgh family, it was not a problem at all.
"I want at least 20,000 mechs at first to test them. How much time do you think you will take to complete my order?" Amber said in a serious voice looking intently at Victor.
Victor was stunned by the order but regained his composure and replied with furrowed eyebrows, "Well, as you can see, I am quite busy equipping my own army with mechs, and I want to be done soon. I can start working on your order after a month."
Amber nodded several times as her face turned ecstatic and said with a wide smile, "Good, I will stay here until you finish the order."
"..." Victor’s eyebrows twitched as he looked at the woman in front of him.
"You will stay?" Victor asked for confirmation.
"Yes, is there a problem?" Amber said as she tilted her head cutely, feigning confusion.
"Of course not, you can stay here as long as you like," Victor replied with a tight smile.
"Oh, another matter—these knights are close-combat oriented, right?" Amber asked, and Victor nodded. Then Amber added, "Can you also make some mechs for long-range fights?"
"Yes, I can," Victor said, as there were indeed long-range mech blueprints of the same rank as the knight mech.
"Good, I want a few thousand of those as well," Amber said, and Victor just nodded.
After everyone left, Sophie and Amber were left alone, walking toward the guest room.
Sophie could not help but remind Amber, "Miss, you do remember the Count said to return within two weeks, you cannot stay longer than that and would need permission if you wished to"
"I do. I will inform him later that I will extend my visit," Amber said nonchalantly.
"Miss, if I may be bold, can I ask why you seem so interested in Baron Victor?" Sophie, being her childhood friend and confidant, asked.
Amber stopped and looked at her with an excited smile.
’This look...’ Sophie had a bad premonition and took a step back, as whenever Amber showed this much excitement, it meant she was plotting something.
"I plan to seduce Victor, make him mine, and bear his child," Amber said in a calm tone.
Sophie, who heard her words, nodded at first and said, "I see, I see... you will make him yours and bear his child..."
Her sentence froze midway, and then her eyes bulged out and her jaw dropped to the ground as she looked at Amber in disbelief and said in a trembling voice, "Miss... what did you just say?"
" I said I am going to seduce him and get pregnant" Amber said calmly.
Sophie looked at the nonchalant Amber with disbelief and aksed " Miss, are you serious?"
Amber stopped and just looked at Sophie and said " Does it seem like I am joking"
Sophie took deep breath realising she was serious. " Miss, you can’t...wait"
Sophie looked at Amber who was walking away and hurriedly ran after her.
