Chapter 49: Ch-49: Meeting and Seduction
The moment Victor stepped into the room, everyone stood up, and he was first greeted with the sight of a plain-looking, unremarkable young man who seemed to be looking at him with wide eyes. He recognized him from his memories—this was his cousin Andrew, whom he had not seen for a few years. Then his eyes fell on the young lady who was sitting beside him with an air of authority.
Victor was frozen for a moment as he got lost in the beauty of the young lady in front of him. He had never seen such a beautiful woman in his entire life.
She had long golden hair cascading down her shoulders and reaching her buttocks. The dress she wore highlighted her beauty even further.
She wore a sleek, form-fitting black gown with a glossy, almost leather-like finish that caught the light. The bodice was structured with a deep, sculpted neckline, highlighted by ornate gold accents and small decorative details. It had long, fitted sleeves that matched the main material, giving the dress a polished, cohesive look.
The skirt was asymmetrical and high-cut, exposing much of her legs and adding a bold, modern edge. Gold elements were placed throughout the design, reinforcing a luxurious, regal feel. Flowing from the sides was a soft, pale draped fabric—like a cape or shawl—that contrasted with the dark, fitted base and pooled around her, enhancing the dramatic, elegant appearance.
She had a curvaceous body and was well-endowed, which seemed to draw the eyes of every man present, along with her shapely legs.
’Damn, what kind of luck does that bastard have to get a beauty like her?’ He instantly felt envious of his cousin and thought to himself.
"Long time no see, cousin," Andrew walked up to him and hugged him with a fake and stiff smile.
"Ah, yes, it’s been a long time. You have changed greatly," Victor was snapped out of his daze when he felt Andrew hug him.
The way they were interacting seemed like they had a deep, affectionate brotherly bond, but everyone knew it was a farce. This could be seen as people rolled their eyes at them, and Edward had a look of disgust upon seeing the interaction.
"Of course, if I don’t change, who knows if someone might just kidnap me one day? I am sure many are trying," Victor said while shooting a meaningful look at him, which caused Andrew to stiffen a bit.
"Haha, you jest," Andrew said while cursing Victor in his head.
"You seem to be the same—you haven’t changed one bit over the years," Victor said with a smile, his voice carrying a hint of mockery.
’Bastard’A vein popped out on Andrew’s forehead.
"And this is?" Victor asked as he looked at the stunning woman in front of him.
"This is my fiancée, Amber Oreburgh. She is the daughter of Count Oreburgh," Andrew introduced, extending his hand toward her, but his expression darkened when Amber walked past him and stopped in front of Victor.
Amber was awestruck upon seeing Victor’s appearance and thought, So handsome.
Victor had looks that hardly any woman could resist, and most could only restrain themselves with strong self-control—and Amber was no exception.
Her heart began to beat rapidly as she saw the appearance of the young lord in front of her.
It must be that lowly Baron Light who spread the rumors, and my bastard cousin agreed. One day I will kill them both, Amber seethed inwardly. In her mind, it had to be Andrew’s father who spread the rumors that Victor was weak. If her father had known about Victor, he would have directly betrothed her to him without needing schemes against the Light Family. Her father had his eyes on both the Silvernum and Light territories, and if Amber married one of them, the other could simply be eliminated.
It took the sadistic vixen only three seconds to change her scheme from killing him to enslavement. Why should she bother with a weakling like Andrew when Victor was the real prize?
She had already begun planning—spiking his drink with a powerful aphrodisiac, isolating him, and then using an artifact to suppress him and force him into submission with a binding contract.
Then, once he had fully submitted, she would shape him to her liking. After some time, she would ensure he became bound to her completely. Being a sadist, she intended to remain in control of the relationship. She was certain her father would have no choice but to accept it to avoid disgrace, and would even be pleased to gain such a powerful Warlock as his son-in-law.
’Hmm... maybe I could even use him to eliminate my father and take over the Oreburgh County myself,’ her gaze flickered with ambition as she recalled the mechs he had created and his combat-related Warlock Bloodline, and started hatching a plot.
Then she showed a sweet smile and spoke,
"Ah, you must be Lord Victor. I have been hearing rumors about you being a Warlock. From what I heard, you were supposed to be sickly and thin, but looking at you, you must be the most handsome man in the Kingdom," Amber said with a giggle while extending her right hand towards Victor as he brushed his lips against her hand.
Andrew’s expression darkened upon hearing her compliment Victor so openly while he stood right beside her. He was even more incensed seeing their interaction and clenched his fists.
’Bitch... you let him kiss your hand, yet you never even let me hold yours’
Everyone—even her knight Sophie—was surprised by this. This was probably the first time they had seen her willingly let a man get so close to her.
Victor narrowed his eyes upon hearing the compliment and said with a smile, "I am flattered by your compliment, Lady Amber."
"Hehe," Amber giggled seductively and gave him a sneaky wink.
Gulp.
Victor swallowed a mouthful of saliva as he watched her curves move and mountains jiggle.
"Lord Victor, Lady Amber, the servants have prepared a banquet for you all, please," Edward said as he gestured for both of them, completely ignoring Andrew, who had veins popping on his forehead.
A grand table gleamed under the chandelier light, set with gold-rimmed plates and crystal goblets. The table was filled with roasted meats, fresh fruits, warm bread, and rich desserts, and all kind delicacies. Servants stood at the side, tending to the needs of the guests and Victor.
"Please take a seat," Victor gestured to Andrew and Amber. Andrew did not think twice and hurriedly plopped onto a chair, his eyes gleaming at the food. Seeing this, Amber had a look of disdain and disgust on her face as she backed away from him.
Amber, on the other hand, looked around and, with a sly smile, pulled the chair beside the one Victor was sitting on and gracefully sat down without changing her expression. Seeing this, everyone paused and gave Andrew a strange look who was her fiance, whose face had turned red as if he were wearing an invisible green hat.
Andrew suppressed the urge to shout at her and took a deep breath to calm his nerves as he knew the consequences.
Victor suddenly stiffened when he felt Amber place her hand on his thigh, but he quickly moved it away.
"Huff..." Victor took a deep breath to calm his nerves as everyone started eating.
"Mmm, delicious," Amber moaned softly as she took a bite of the food. Victor was having a hard time controlling himself as his body reacted instinctively.
"By the way, Victor—I can call you Victor, right? Adding ’Lord’ sounds too formal; we are the same age," Amber said as she batted her eyelids and looked at him. Then, with a subtle smile, she licked the corner of her lips which caused his little brother to twitch as he imagined those sexy plump lips wrapped around his little brother.
’Damn, this vixen,’ Victor cursed inwardly as he looked at Amber.
"Of course, if you want, you can address me as such," Victor replied said in a calm and collected voice masking his surpsie. As nobles who call them by their name without using the title is family or close friends.
"Great, you can call me Amber," she said as she clapped her hands together lightly.
Andrew, on the other hand, was boiling with jealousy as he looked at them with irritation and anger in his gaze. ’Damn, you bitch—you just met him. Why are you acting so friendly with him? You make me call you Master Amber’
"So, those steel beasts... I mean mechs you are creating—I heard you built them," Amber asked curiously as she looked at Victor with narrowed eyes. Even Andrew suppressed his displeasure and looked at Victor.
"Yes, I was the one," Victor said calmly and saw Amber’s lips curl up further as she leaned closer and asked in a soft tone, "Can you sell some of them to me?"
