I Regressed With a 10,000x God-Tier Multiplier

Chapter 82: To the Cave

The mile-wide chasm between the Grand Army and the Umbral Ridge was no longer empty space. It was a kill zone of pure, blinding purple aether-energy.

One thousand Arcane Sentinel Titans stood shoulder-to-shoulder on the invisible spatial highway Lucifer had paved.

They did not stagger under the recoil of their massive, arm-mounted cannons.

The barrage was continuous.

Millions of Void Beasts—Crawlers, Stalkers, and massive, bone-plated Abyssal Brutes—hurled themselves across the gap, driven by mindless, ravenous hunger.

They slammed into the wall of overlapping aether-beams and were instantly vaporized.

Black chitin, purple blood, and shattered bone rained down into the endless, gray fog below.

Lucifer stood fifty feet behind the firing line.

The heat radiating from the cannons washed over his dark armor. The ruby-red light of his Carnage Core pulsed with a frantic, greedy rhythm.

Faint, almost invisible tethers of red death energy snapped across the chasm by the thousands, feeding directly into his Warlord core.

He was generating more power standing still than an entire guild of adventurers could farm in a lifetime.

"They are too numerous," Elara shouted over the loud sound of the cannons. The Valkyrie stood beside him, her Twilight wings folded tightly against her iridescent Void-Weave armor.

Her eyes tracked the massive, swarming black mass on the Umbral Ridge. "The Titans cannot hold the choke point indefinitely. The beasts are adapting."

Elara was right.

The Abyssal Brutes weren’t charging blindly into the aether beams anymore. The massive creatures grabbed smaller Crawlers and Stalkers, using them as living shields.

They threw the smaller beasts into the purple fire to take the worst of the impact, creating brief openings in the barrage.

A handful of heavily armored Brutes managed to crash onto the invisible spatial highway, skidding violently.

"They breached the gap!" Lady Scarlett roared from the Vanguard. The mercenary captain drew her twin curved swords, her scarred face tight with adrenaline.

"Hold your positions," Lucifer commanded smoothly over the comms rune. He did not draw his longsword.

The few Brutes that landed on the highway shrieked, raising their massive, solidified Void-magic clubs. They charged the closest Titan, aiming for the machine’s knee joints.

The Titans did not stop firing their aether-cannons. They seamlessly engaged their secondary combat protocols.

With their left hands, the twenty-meter machines drew their massive, Star-Metal broadswords. The blades hummed with immense, reality-bending density.

The Titans swung in flawless, brutal horizontal arcs without breaking their firing stances.

CRUNCH.

The Star-Metal broadswords cleaved cleanly through the Abyssal Brutes’ heavy bone plating, slicing the monsters in half.

The top halves of the beasts slid off their legs, instantly dissolving into purple ash. The Titans effortlessly kicked the remaining rubble off the invisible highway, sending it tumbling into the void.

[Hostiles Eliminated: Abyssal Brutes (Level 45)]

"The frontline is secure," Lucifer stated coldly. "But the Valkyrie is right. We need to break their morale and push across the chasm."

He turned his eyes toward Lyra.

The Dawn Saintess stood a few paces behind the Titans.

The massive, warm bubble of holy magic of the Solaris’s Blessing continued to bathe the thirteen million mortal soldiers behind her, keeping the Shadow Madness at bay.

"Saintess," Lucifer called out.

Lyra gripped her silver broadsword and stepped forward. She looked up at the towering, black and white metal gods. "Grand Marshal."

"The Titans are forged from dark matter and death magic," Lucifer explained rapidly. "The Star-Metal conducts energy, but the Spectral Dragon Bone is inherently necrotic.

It gives them absolute physical defense, but it makes them vulnerable to the concentrated Void magic these beasts are spitting."

He pointed his iron gauntlet at the firing line.

"I need you to fix that vulnerability," Lucifer ordered. "I need you to bless the machines."

Lyra’s striking blue eyes widened.

"Bless them?" Lyra repeated, her voice laced with sudden, profound hesitation. She looked at the raw, destructive violence of the Arcane Sentinels.

"They are... they are constructs of war. They do not have souls, Lucifer. The Light cannot find purchase in cold iron and dead bone."

"The Light finds purchase where you tell it to," Lucifer corrected her softly. His voice dropped to a low, commanding rumble.

He stepped closer to her. "You are not a priestess reciting prayers from a book anymore, Lyra. You are the Dawn Saintess. You are the source. You don’t ask the Light for permission. You command it."

Lyra stared into his void eyes. She saw the terrifying certainty in his gaze. He didn’t see her as a fragile vessel. He saw her as a weapon that could rewrite the rules of magic.

Lyra took a slow, deep breath.

"I command it," Lyra whispered. The hesitation vanished completely.

She turned away from Lucifer. She walked directly toward the towering backs of the thousand Arcane Sentinel Titans.

Lyra did not kneel. She did not bow her head.

She raised her heavy silver broadsword high in the air with both hands. The blade ignited, burning with a fierce, blinding white holy fire that completely overwhelmed the purple glare of the aether-cannons.

"Aegis of the Sun!" Lyra screamed, her musical voice carrying a harsh, militant edge that resonated perfectly with the roar of the machines.

She slammed the burning blade into the invisible spatial highway.

[Effect: Forcible Divine Infusion.]

A shockwave of pure, concentrated holy magic erupted from the blade. It did not form a dome.

It raced across the invisible floor like a wave of liquid gold and slammed directly into the heels of the one thousand Titans.

The holy magic rushed up the black Star-Metal legs. It poured into the glowing blue runic veins coursing through the machines.

The Titans shuddered violently.

The clash of pure holy light and the inherent necrotic magic of the Spectral Dragon Bone caused a massive magical feedback loop. The white bone armor covering the machines hissed and cracked, venting thick clouds of dark smoke.

For a terrifying second, it looked as though the holy magic was going to melt the Titans from the inside out.

"Hold them!" Lucifer roared over the comms rune.

Lyra gritted her teeth. Blood dripped from her nose as the immense mana drain assaulted her core. She pushed harder, forcing her blinding white aura directly into the chaotic magical clash.

The hissing stopped.

The dark smoke venting from the bone armor vanished.

The one thousand Arcane Sentinel Titans stopped shuddering.

The glowing blue runic veins coursing through their massive frames shifted colors. They turned a brilliant, blinding gold.

The flawless white Spectral Dragon Bone plating absorbed the holy light, transforming from a symbol of death into a radiant, glowing shell of divine protection.

The Titans were no longer just machines. They were twenty-meter-tall holy crusaders.

"Incredible," Elara breathed, staring at the glowing, golden giants.

The Paladin-Mechs held their firing stances. But the purple aether energy from their cannons instantly shifted into focused beams of white-hot sunlight.

The new barrage slammed into the swarming Void Beasts on the Umbral Ridge.

The effect was apocalyptic.

The Abyssal Brutes, the Stalkers, and the Crawlers did not just die; they exploded into massive, overlapping spheres of brilliant white fire.

The entire front of the Umbral Ridge was swallowed by a blinding surge of holy fire. The dark Void energy of the mountain seemed to resist as the light burned it away.

Lucifer’s longsword flared. The ruby-red light of the True Damage enchantment flooded the blade.

"They are broken!" Celeste shouted from the Vanguard, her dire wolf howling in triumph as the massive swarm of monsters disintegrated under the holy barrage.

"Advance!" Lucifer commanded.

He didn’t stay behind the firing line. He activated Zephyr’s Grace.

Lucifer launched himself across the invisible spatial highway, moving faster than the eye could track. He bypassed the towering legs of the golden Paladin-Mechs, sprinting directly toward the burning Umbral Ridge.

He reached the other side of the chasm in seconds.

The ground here was not smooth. It was jagged, unrefined Umbral Ore, slick with the purple blood of millions of dead monsters.

The heat from the holy fire was intense, but his Void Arcanist core neutralized it effortlessly.

A massive, fifty-foot-tall Abyssal Brute, badly burned but still alive, pulled itself from a crater of white ash. It raised its huge Void-forged club, ready to strike the Warlord.

Lucifer didn’t dodge.

He swung his longsword.

The True Damage blade cleaved cleanly through the Brute’s heavy bone plating and thick club as if they did not exist.

The massive monster fell in two perfect halves, dissolving into ash before it hit the ground.

[Hostile Eliminated: Abyssal Brute (Level 50)]

Lucifer stood on the slope of the Umbral Ridge.

Behind him, the thousand golden Paladin-Mechs ceased firing. They stepped off the spatial highway and onto the mountain range, their massive iron boots cracking the ore.

The thirteen million mortal soldiers of the Crusade followed, flooding across the chasm like a golden river, cheering wildly.

The beachhead on the mountain was secured.

Lucifer sheathed his longsword. The Carnage Core pulsed.

He looked deeper into the chaotic peaks of the Umbral Ridge. The low-level swarms were completely eradicated.

The holy fire had burned away the Fog of Deceit, revealing massive, dark caves leading deep underground.

The caves throbbed with a heavy, steady heartbeat. It wasn’t the natural magic of the dimension, it was something massive, alive, and extremely dangerous.

"The swarm is dead, Lucifer," Elara said, landing gracefully beside him. Her Twilight wings folded tightly. "But the resonance... it is heavier now. The death of the beasts woke something up."

"I know," Lucifer said smoothly. His void-swirling eyes locked onto the largest, darkest cave entrance.

He tapped his comms rune.

"Celeste. Set up a defensive perimeter at the base of the ridge," Lucifer ordered. "Use the Paladin-Mechs as the outer wall. Let the mortals scavenge the ore. Nobody enters the caves."

"Understood, Grand Marshal," Celeste confirmed.

Lucifer turned to Elara and Lyra, who had just arrived at the front.

"The true source of the Umbral corruption is down there," Lucifer stated coldly. "We are going to cut it out."
