Chapter 118: That’s the Divine Child of Our White Elephant Empire

Chu He followed Galava’s gaze and saw several dozen people in the distance.

Surrounded by a crowd of ordinary Martial Artists, they were slowly walking this way without any sign of stopping. They continued to press forward toward the Rainbow Welfare Institute, which was clearly their target.

"Everyone on Blue Star says the Lighthouse Empire is the number one power on the entire planet."

"I can only say that most people on Blue Star are too narrow-minded. Sigh... The White Elephant Empire is just too low-key for its own good."

At that moment, Galava’s eyes gleamed.

He pointed to the figure at the very front of the group and said, "See that person? That’s the Divine Child of our White Elephant Empire."

"Divine Child? What does that mean?" Chu He was completely clueless about this.

"You don’t know what a Divine Child is? A Divine Child is the offspring of the Deities!"

"His name is DeHart."

"Ordinary Martial Artists, like you and me, only cultivate Elemental Power. But a Divine Child cultivates Divine Power."

"In our White Elephant Empire, there’s no such thing as Evil Spirits."

"Every inch of the White Elephant Empire is under the protection of the Deities."

"I really hope that one day I’ll be tested and found to be a child of the Deities, too. Then I’d also be a Divine Child."

Galava said, his face full of envy.

"Who decides if someone is a Divine Child? The people? Or the Empire?"

Chu He never expected to hear about the concept of Deities from Galava again.

Chu He hadn’t paid much attention to what Galava said before, because everyone knew the White Elephant Empire had always been fond of boasting, constantly claiming they were the world’s number one, completely invincible.

They often acted like shit-stirrers, causing trouble everywhere and earning people’s disgust.

In the past, many "exotic-adventure" influencers loved to livestream their expeditions to the White Elephant Empire to try the street food.

The result was that many of them ended up with persistent high fevers, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Someone once commented that the White Elephant Empire was like a sleeping maggot that, once awakened, would disgust the entire world.

When Chu He first saw that comment, his initial reaction was that it was incredibly accurate.

"That’s naturally decided by the Deities."

"If not, why would they be called Divine Children?"

"This DeHart, right as he ascended to become a King-Sealing Realm expert, was already able to suppress an Emperor Realm expert, leaving them completely powerless against him."

"Tell me, on this entire Blue Star, which Empire’s Martial Artists have that kind of ability?"

Having said this, Galava clapped Chu He on the shoulder and said with a smile, "You’re really a lucky guy for running into me."

"In a bit, we’ll follow behind DeHart’s team."

"Although I’m not qualified to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them, I’m still a citizen of the White Elephant Empire, after all."

"The most precious treasures will definitely go to DeHart, but we’ll still have a chance to pick up some scraps."

"So? How about it? Want to pay me a thank-you fee?"

"I’ve got a lot of intel on what’s inside the Rainbow Welfare Institute."

"When it comes to intelligence gathering, I’m a pro, you know."

"How much do you want?" Chu He asked.

"A flat ten million! If you’re not satisfied, we can negotiate. Judging by your expression, you’re clearly tempted."

Seeing that Chu He was interested, Galava’s attitude became even more enthusiastic.

"Out on the vast Black Continent Grassland, the signal is completely swallowed up."

"The amount of cash I’m carrying definitely doesn’t come close to an astronomical figure like ten million."

"If I’m going to pay you, it’ll have to be after we leave this Black Continent Grassland."

Chu He said.

He was completely unfazed. After all, he wasn’t short on money at all.

A mere ten million might be a huge sum that an ordinary person could never earn in a lifetime, but for him, if he wanted to, he could easily get much more with just a wave of his hand.

So when he heard Galava quote ten million, Chu He didn’t even bat an eye.

"No problem. Our team’s greatest strength is intelligence gathering, so collecting debts is a piece of cake for us."

"I’ll just need to take a picture of you."

"As long as we have a photo, we can find you no matter where you run, even to the ends of the earth."

Full of confidence, Galava took out a palm-sized miniature camera.

Chu He calmly took off his baseball cap and mask, his gaze resting placidly on Galava.

Just as Galava was about to raise the miniature camera, his jaw dropped open wide enough to fit a large duck egg.

"M-Mr. Chu... you can put your cap and mask back on. I don’t want the ten million anymore."

Galava stammered.

It was obvious that Galava had recognized Chu He after he took off his mask.

"Don’t worry, I’ll pay what I owe."

Chu He said after putting his mask and baseball cap back on.

"No, no, no..."

Galava shook his head like a rattle. "I would definitely take it from anyone else, but your status is different, Mr. Chu. You’re Blue Star’s number one expert."

"It’s my honor to be on a team with you."

"From now on, as long as we’re teamed up, I’ll share all the intelligence I have on the Rainbow Welfare Institute with you, for free and without holding anything back."

"In that case, the others have already set out. Let’s go too." Chu He nodded.

Galava then pulled out a communication device. This device could avoid being affected by the Mysterious Power, but its drawback was that it only worked within a limited range.

Soon, more than ten young men and women gathered around.

Judging by their appearances, however, these dozen or so young people weren’t all from the White Elephant Empire; they had a variety of different looks.

"And this is?"

one of the young men asked curiously.

"This is a major client I just invited."

Galava was very sharp. He knew Chu He was wearing a baseball cap and mask to hide his identity, so even without being told, he chose to help him maintain his cover.

The other team members showed looks of envy and nodded, clearly familiar with this kind of situation.

"Hello, I’m Dean."

A young, dark-skinned man with short, curly hair that clung to his scalp greeted Chu He in a friendly manner.

’For Galava to bring him into the Rainbow Welfare Institute, he must be a major client who’s either rich or powerful.’

’Even if he’s not my client now, if I make a good impression, maybe he’ll become my client in the future.’

"Hello, my name is Anna."

A young, fair-skinned girl also greeted Chu He with a smile before turning to Galava. "You always have the best performance on our team. This time, we only managed to sell some intel about the Rainbow Welfare Institute, but we didn’t land a single client."

"It’s fine. The White Elephant Empire’s team has already gone into the Rainbow Welfare Institute. Let’s go in now, too."

Galava didn’t dwell on the issue, since the so-called client was just an excuse to hide Chu He’s identity.
