Chapter 128 - 127: Celestial Extreme Mansion Disciples

After Yi Tianyun left, he headed straight for Demon Cloud Island. There was no time to waste. Shortly after his quick departure, someone darted out from the Star Pavilion, locked their eyes on Yi Tianyun’s figure, and swiftly followed.

But by the time he chased him out of the city gates, he discovered that Yi Tianyun had already vanished!

"What’s going on? He’s gone!?" The Cultivator responsible for tracking Yi Tianyun was completely stunned. Yi Tianyun had vanished in the blink of an eye, and he had no idea where he’d gone. He slapped his thigh in frustration. "Looks like I’m definitely going to get chewed out when I get back..."

Since Yi Tianyun was going alone, Steward Huang definitely wanted to investigate and see if he was truly operating solo. To think he vanished the moment he stepped out—how could the tracker not be vexed?

"Steward Huang, that young master has disappeared... I lost him..." The returning Guard hung his head, his face full of guilt.

"It’s fine. It’s perfectly normal that you lost him. His cultivation is unfathomable; even I can’t accurately sense how strong he is. To have the courage to go to Demon Cloud Island, his cultivation must be considerable." Steward Huang waved his hand and said, "This isn’t your fault. You may go."

The Guard finally breathed a sigh of relief and quickly withdrew.

Steward Huang narrowed his eyes, a few glints of light flashing within them. ’I wonder what that kid’s background is. And I wonder if he’s really charging toward Demon Cloud Island all by himself...’

Although the Star Pavilion was currently short on Demon Beasts, it didn’t mean they would send people to hunt them. The cost was simply too high. At the very least, they would need to organize many Core Formation Stage Cultivators, or perhaps even experts at the Spirit Pill Stage. If there was no Treasure to be found, hunting them purely for their own sake just wasn’t worth it.

The corpses of Demon Beasts could be used as Alchemy Materials or Forging Materials, or even be sold to others for consumption at a high price. However, for an organization like theirs, there was no need to gather these things personally; relying on acquisitions was sufficient.

...

Outside the city gates, Yi Tianyun had naturally noticed someone was tailing him as he left. He paid it no mind, simply activating his Stealth Skill and disappearing into a corner. After leaving the city, he found a secluded spot, summoned the Black Dragon, and mounted it, flying at top speed toward Demon Cloud Island.

Its speed instantly shot to its limit, like a Sharp Arrow streaking forward, leaving a black shadow across the sky!

’It should be generally in this direction...’

Yi Tianyun checked the Star Disc. He had already been flying for two days, with about half the journey left. If he had traveled slowly by boat, it would have taken more than half a month to reach the destination, and the journey would have been fraught with peril. Even assuming there were no dangers, a round trip would take over a month. If it weren’t for the Black Dragon, he definitely wouldn’t have accepted this mission.

In truth, more than this, he wanted to storm the Cyan Profound Mansion. Unfortunately, his cultivation wasn’t high enough. If he went there and got surrounded, it would be a dead end.

Just as he was about to continue flying toward Demon Cloud Island, he suddenly saw a large ship near the coast in the distance, surrounded by a dozen or so smaller vessels. And pulling these small boats forward were none other than Flying Sharks!

Anyone who could subjugate Demon Beasts like the Flying Shark was definitely no simple character.

"Hehe, Boss, there are a few tender young ladies up there. Looks like we get to have some fun again! We didn’t get to play enough last time, and these ones look even more delicate!" a nearby pirate sneered. He licked his lips as he stared at the pale-faced female Cultivators on the ship, as if he had just found a delicious meal.

"Not bad. This batch seems pretty good indeed, better quality. Looks like they’re from a decent sect, too," Bi Yuntao said, looking at the Cultivators on the ship, a sinister light flashing in his eyes. Then he shouted to them, "I suggest you surrender obediently! Do you really think you can fight us here? In this stretch of the sea, this is our domain!"

This was no empty boast. With the help of the Flying Sharks, they could roam these waters freely, with no need to worry about anything.

The faces of the Cultivators on the ship were pale. Their cultivation levels were not high, mostly around the seventh or eighth level of the Spirit Refining Stage. Their strongest was an expert at the third level of the Core Formation Stage. However, compared to the pirates surrounding them, there were three at the Core Formation Stage alone! And they could also control a large group of Flying Sharks. The disparity was simply too great to compare.

"W-we are from the Celestial Extreme Mansion! I suggest you leave now, or don’t blame our Sect Master for holding you accountable!" one of the male disciples shouted, but his voice lacked conviction.

"People from the Celestial Extreme Mansion?" Bi Yuntao sneered. "That rundown sect still calls itself a ’Mansion’? They’re not even as good as an ordinary second-grade faction, and they dare call themselves a ’Mansion’!"

"Steward Qian, what should we do?" one of the beautiful, yellow-robed women asked, her face pale.

They could all imagine what their fate would be if they were captured.

The others were the same, all looking to Steward Qian, the one with the highest cultivation, to see if he had a plan. They had come out for training, planning only to roam around this area. Although it was the sea, it wasn’t close to the Demon Sea Perilous Realm, so it was supposed to be relatively safe. They never expected to run into a group of pirates!

Generally speaking, pirate encounters were rare, but this time they had not only met them, but a large group at that.

Steward Qian’s expression was calm, without a trace of panic. Instead, he looked at them and said, "Surrender. It’s the best option."

"What!?"

The faces of the female disciples on the ship instantly turned ashen. They thought they were going to fight their way out, but they never expected Steward Qian to tell them to surrender without even putting up a fight.

"Steward Qian, what are you talking about!" one of the male disciples stepped forward and said angrily, "Steward Qian, even if we die, we have to fight! We absolutely cannot let them have their way! It’s death either way!"

Besides this male disciple, the other male disciples had a similar understanding. Being captured by these pirates was no different from death. Since that was the case, they might as well fight for it. That way, there was at least a sliver of a chance for survival.

Suddenly, Steward Qian moved. He rushed in front of the male disciple and viciously kicked out. With a THUD, the disciple was sent flying, spitting a mouthful of blood toward the sky before sinking into the sea, never to surface again.

"Since you wanted to die so badly, then you can be the first," Steward Qian said, his gaze sweeping coldly over the other disciples. "Is there anyone else who refuses to surrender?"

"Old Qian, why were you in such a hurry to act? We haven’t had our fun yet. It’s more entertaining to scare them a bit first," Bi Yuntao said with a laugh from below, his eyes full of mockery.

At this, everyone was stunned. They never imagined that their steward was actually in league with this group of pirates, and on good terms, no less!
