Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1066 - 791: Dumbledore in the Hog’s Head Pub (Part 3)

Without wasting any more time, Kael directly Apparated to Hogsmeade.

Due to the time, all the shops here were closed, but the windows of the Hog’s Head Pub still flickered with light.

Kael pushed the door open and walked in, but he didn’t see anyone else, only an old witch lying down in the corner, seeming as though she was asleep.

Abeforth, who had just left, stood behind the counter, wiping a dirty cup with an equally filthy rag.

No wonder people always say it’s best to bring your own utensils when coming to the Hog’s Head Pub, there’s no question about that.

At the same time, Abeforth noticed Kael, and the vigilance in his eyes quickly turned into disdain, gesturing with his chin to the side.

"They’re upstairs."

"Thanks." Kael immediately ran upstairs, where he found Fred and George. They were supporting themselves against the wall at the stairway entrance, apparently responsible for keeping watch.

Lupin and Hermione were tending to the unconscious Tonkses, while the others were further inside.

As for Nymphadora Tonks, if Kael guessed correctly, she should be the old witch sleeping downstairs.

After seeing Kael, Fred and George had complex expressions in their eyes.

"Prove your identity," Fred said, "What was the first thing we sold at Hogwarts?"

"The map." Kael replied.

"No problem." Fred nodded to the others and relaxed his stance.

"I have a question." George walked over to Kael, "Did Sirius say it was you who had the Phoenix take us away?"

"It wasn’t me, it was Dumbledore." Kael said calmly, "That was his Phoenix."

"Is that so?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Nothing." George took a deep breath and shook his head, "This can’t be considered a pleasant trip, even if it saved us."

"Ah, that’s normal." Kael said nonchalantly, "You get used to it after a few times."

"No thanks, I’d rather face the Death Eaters." Fred said, clutching his stomach.

"Let’s talk about it later, we need to leave here quickly." Kael said, "Get ready, I’ll go call Tonks."

When he returned downstairs, the old witch at the table had stood up, her face had turned back into Tonks’ face, but her hair was still a mess.

Kael gestured for her to go upstairs, then turned to look at Abeforth.

"Thank you."

"No need." Abeforth said, "Just pay, you wasted my business for the night, plus the Portkey money, it’s a hundred Galleons."

As he spoke, he tossed over a dirty glass, with a layer of shiny blue light on it, evidently a newly made Portkey.

"Or you could don’t use this, and just pay fifty Galleons."

"No, a hundred Galleons is fine." Kael said, "But I’m a little curious, why didn’t you use the Portkey to send them back earlier?"

"Better two dead than all dead." Abeforth lifted his eyelids, "Hurry up, you only have three minutes."

"Ah... alright!" Kael walked over, taking out a heavy bag and putting it on the counter.

Abeforth opened it and took a look, "Too much, there’s at least two hundred Galleons here."

"Consider the excess as a token of goodwill." Kael smiled, "But I wonder if you could help me with a small favor."

"A hundred Galleons’ favor?" Abeforth sneered, "Let’s hear it."

"It’s like this... could you promise, as Dumbledore’s brother, to send Fawkes to me?" Kael whispered, "If it’s possible, I’ll pay you another thousand Galleons."

Abeforth raised an eyebrow, then pushed the bag back to Kael without hesitation.

"Don’t be so quick to refuse, how about two thousand... no, five thousand Galleons, or even ten thousand could be negotiated."

"Don’t bother, it only listens to that person, nothing I say will matter." Abeforth said.

"I see..." Kael thought for a moment, but still pushed the bag back, "That’s alright, just consider it for a friend."

"No way, I wouldn’t dare accept." Abeforth looked at Kael warily, tossing the bag into Kael’s pocket, "You’re just as much trouble as that person, hurry up and get out of here.

"A quick reminder, the Portkey only has three minutes left."

"Alright then..." Kael was about to head upstairs with the cup, but then he quickly came back.

"How about this, give me ten bottles of Flaming Whiskey and ten bottles of brandy, I think they might need it."

"Not for sale."

"I’ll pay five times the price, put it on Dumbledore’s tab." Kael said casually, "You can get it from him when he returns."

This time, Abeforth didn’t hesitate for a moment, swiftly packing up what Kael needed in just ten seconds.
