Chapter 106: Southern Main Street
Fengyu calculated many times but didn’t come to an end, so he stopped and instead started constructing a duck villa for his ducks again, built the same as the previous one.
After doing so, he instantly used his strands to upgrade up to 40 ducks to Spiritual Ducks.
This instantly boosted his daily eggs to 160 high-quality eggs and 7 normal eggs!
Having done everything meticulously, he was now back in his routine.
Though fortunately, since he didn’t need to cultivate and since most of his spells have achieved satisfactory results, he now still has two hours a day where he can do something else.
Today, a week after entering the city, he decided to go out and explore it – or at least visit the other three grand buildings!
"You two, do you want to come with me around the city?" Fengyu asked after having called the twins.
"Senior brother, we’re still busy planting, and this isn’t going to be completed until at least a month. Though could you bring us some snacks?" Ling shook her head then asked mischievously.
"Haha, sure, I’ll get you some." Fengyu nodded then went out, Zimu in his hand as always.
"Quack, let’s also get some snacks for the ducks. They look normal and act normal, but they’re actually still a bit confused about having switched their place. It takes some time for them to get used to it."
"No problem, let’s get a basket of dumplings too." Fengyu thought it was normal for beasts to become slightly territorial after remaining in a place for long, so changing their place would cause them a slight feeling of unease initially.
Though this was only because his ducks had been stay-at-home ducks this whole time.
Walking out of his field, he went down to the road and used his spells to hasten his movement.

Along the way he saw the courtyards at this level were quite large. Occasionally he could even see a storefront of people selling various things.
Some sold small items they crafted, others re-sold rice and other daily products, and a rare few sold items of the five craft creation arts.
The most common item was a talisman, followed by pills then weapons.
Formations and Robes were always a bit elusive.
’I read about it once and it’s said that the art of talismans is the easiest to get into, while the arts of formations and robes are the most difficult.
Because the art of formation requires deep comprehension of heaven and earth, only a select few can do it.
On the other hand, robe making is extremely complex and requires many more steps than weapon making, and each mistake can ruin the material, it’s also extremely tedious... the price to effect ratio is also too high.
Mass-ware with little effect is produced by larger families, sects and workshops, while those of higher grades are too costly for normal people to buy them, forcing them to buy a robe lower than their cultivation.

The profit margin wasn’t high, but there was never an issue of over-saturation.
After all, the market only had so many spiritual herders of the lower stages.
As for those of the higher stages... they won’t look at the petty gains of mass ware and instead try to raise higher levels of beasts.
Who said cultivators don’t eat?

Fengyu also saw some pills being sold at some storefronts, which he checked for the sake of Zimu.
He asked Zimu whether he liked any and after hearing none were suitable, he simply left.
’There are pills specifically made for beasts, but I could also try buying raw materials. After all, beasts’ digestive system is much better than that of humans, so eating them raw isn’t bad.’
He continued down the path until he entered the southern main street.
From afar he only saw a larger street, there was no hustle and bustle, so he didn’t even realise it was the main street.
When he entered it proper, he saw that most cultivators on this street were calm and quiet, dressed neatly and behaving like nobles.
Compared to the many cultivators in the eastern street, these ones had spiritual robes and shoes, sometimes even fans and umbrellas.
They truly looked ’cultured’, but what Fengyu saw was something else – money!

Every one of them walked with at least 100.000 spirit stones!
And on each of their robes, there was an emblem of a family.
