My Milf Conqueror System

Chapter 264: The Julian Croft Expansion

The Golden Koi was a fortress, but it was a fortress built in the shadows. If I wanted to strike at the Empress, I needed to operate in the light.

I stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror in the penthouse, adjusting the cuffs of a bespoke, midnight-blue Tom Ford tuxedo. The fabric was flawless. It slid between my fingers like water. No wrinkles. The cut was immaculate. It sat on my shoulders like it was poured there.

The room was quiet. The only sound was the soft _shh_ of fabric as I moved.

I slipped a platinum Patek Philippe watch onto my left wrist. The metal was cold at first, then it warmed against my skin. The face was simple. No numbers. Just thin hands. I checked my reflection.

Noah Reed, the gritty, dangerous Head of Security, was gone.

Julian Croft, the arrogant, untouchable Singaporean tech billionaire, stared back at me. His posture was different. Shoulders back. Chin up. Eyes calm. He owned the room before he walked into it.

Li walked into the bedroom, wearing a simple silk robe. The silk made a soft sound as she moved. It caught the light.

She stopped in the doorway, her eyes sweeping over the tuxedo. She knew about the dual identity—it was the only way to explain the sudden influx of high-society intelligence—but seeing the transformation always seemed to unnerve her slightly. Her mouth opened a little, then closed.

"You look like a man who owns the world," Li murmured, walking up behind me and resting her hands on my shoulders. Her palms were warm through the jacket. I could feel the weight of her fingers.

The mirror showed both of us. Her in soft silk. Me in hard lines.

"Tonight, I just need to look like a man who wants to buy a piece of Macau," I replied, meeting her gaze in the mirror. My voice was different too. Smoother. Rounder.

"The Song Dynasty Charity Gala," Li said, a hint of distaste in her voice. "Empress Song Mei hosts it every year at the Grand Lisboa. It is a gathering of the city's most powerful politicians, bankers, and real estate developers. The legitimate face of her empire."

I could smell her shampoo. Jasmine. Under it, the faint scent of the penthouse. Clean linen.

"It's her financial shield," I corrected. "The Golden Koi uses Superintendent Cho and the Jade Palace. The Empress uses the entire municipal government and the banking sector. If we want to weaken her, we have to understand how her legitimate network operates."

Legitimate. The word felt strange in my mouth.

"You are walking into a room filled with her allies," Li warned. Her grip tightened slightly on my shoulders. "If she recognizes you..."

"She won't," I said confidently. "Song Mei met Noah Reed in a dimly lit pavilion. I was wearing a standard suit, my posture was defensive, and my cadence was flat. Julian Croft is a different species. He takes up space. He demands attention. The psychology of the disguise is absolute."

I turned around, pressing a brief kiss to her forehead. Her skin was warm. She smelled like jasmine and expensive cream.

"I'll be back before midnight."

I took the private elevator down to the underground garage. The doors opened with a soft _ding_.

A rented, chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce Phantom was waiting. The car was long and black. The paint was deep enough to drown in. The chrome caught the garage lights.

The driver opened the door. He didn't speak.

The leather inside was cool. It smelled new. The ride was smooth. The city moved past the tinted windows in blurs of neon.

The drive to the Grand Lisboa was smooth. Ten minutes. The car didn't make a sound over the road.

The gala was being held in the hotel's massive, crystal-chandeliered ballroom. The building itself was gold and glass. It looked like a flower from the street.

The red carpet was lined with photographers and local press. Flashbulbs went off constantly. _Pop. Pop. Pop._ White light that left spots in my vision.

I stepped out of the Rolls-Royce, ignoring the flashbulbs with practiced, aristocratic indifference. The night air was cool on my face. The tuxedo kept the rest of me warm.

I didn't rush. I walked up the carpet with the slow, entitled stride of a man who knew his net worth was higher than the GDP of a small island nation. Each step was measured. People turned to look.

I handed my platinum invitation to the security detail at the door. The card was thick. Heavy. They scanned the barcode. The scanner beeped. They nodded respectfully, and opened the heavy mahogany doors.

The doors were tall. They swung inward without a sound.

The ballroom was a sea of expensive gowns, tailored tuxedos, and the clinking of champagne flutes. _Clink. Clink._ A string quartet played softly in the corner. Violins. Elegant. It didn't have to be loud.

The air smelled like flowers, expensive perfume, and champagne. The chandeliers above were massive. Thousands of crystals. They threw light down in shards.

It was a world completely insulated from the blood and the grit of the Outer Harbour. No sirens. No shouting. Just music and polite laughter.

"Overwatch, I'm inside," I murmured, the microscopic comms bead deep in my ear canal picking up the sub-vocalization. It felt like nothing. Just a faint pressure.

"Audio is clear, Julian," Claire replied, using the alias to maintain the psychological immersion. Her voice was crisp. "Nia is running facial recognition on the guests through your contact lenses. We'll flag any high-value targets associated with the Song Dynasty's legitimate holdings."

The contact lenses were thin. I could feel them. They itched for half a second and then settled.

I took a flute of champagne from a passing waiter. The glass was cold. Condensation on the outside. The bubbles rose fast.

I waded into the crowd. It was time to play the game.

Men in tuxedos turned to look. Women in gowns smiled. I didn't smile back. Julian didn't need to.

The floor was marble. It reflected the lights. My shoes made no sound.
