Chapter 83: Adrian Confess I Love You, Matteo
Matteo didn’t answer. He just gave one last, deep, deeper thrust that forced Adrian’s back to lift off the bed, his scream of pleasure filling the room and the phone line.
Click. The line went dead.
Matteo let out a dark, satisfied laugh, tossing the phone aside as he redoubled his pace, completely focused on driving Adrian into the mattress.
Adrian’s pleasure was so intense, so sweet and overwhelming, that he didn’t know how to express it. A sob broke from him as his body gave in, tears spilling from the sheer bliss of it.
Matteo noticed immediately. His rhythm faltered, panic flashing through him as concern took over.
"Hey... baby? Adrian?" His voice softened, threaded with worry as his pace slowed. "Did I hurt you?"
He searched Adrian’s face, unsettled by the tears. "Are you crying because of what I did? Because I made her listen?" His voice grew more urgent. "Talk to me, Adrian... did I go too far? Are you in pain?"
Adrian didn’t reply. He was too ashamed to admit the truth, that he wasn’t hurting, that he was crying because it felt too good. Because the pleasure was overwhelming him in ways he couldn’t control. He was spiraling, craving more, and the thought of Matteo stopping made his chest feel heavy instead.
He lifted his arm to cover his eyes, hiding his flushed, tear-streaked face.
Thinking he had truly caused pain, Matteo immediately started to pull away. "I’m sorry, I’ll stop—"
Before Matteo could withdraw, Adrian’s hands shot out, gripping Matteo’s waist and pinning him flush against his chest. He pulled him closer, pressing their bodies together, and fixed Matteo with a desperate, silent look that screamed, don’t you dare stop.
"Why are you crying?" Matteo asked, his eyes searching Adrian’s. "Talk to me."
Instead of answering, Adrian tangled his fingers in Matteo’s hair at the nape of his neck and pulled him down, their lips crashing together in a desperate kiss. They kissed deeply, their movements perfectly synchronized with Matteo’s driving thrusts.
When they finally broke apart for air, Matteo hovered over him, his breathing uneven. "Do you feel better?" he murmured, eyes searching his. "Are you okay?"
Adrian didn’t look away. He held Matteo’s gaze, his eyes shimmering with raw emotion.
For a moment, he said nothing. His lips parted, then pressed together again, as if the words were too heavy to release.
"I..." His voice faltered, breath catching between them. His fingers tightened against Matteo, gripping onto him like he needed the contact, like letting go wasn’t an option.
Their faces were so close their breaths mixed, his chest rising unevenly beneath him as he struggled to steady himself.
Then it broke out of him softly, but undeniably.
"I love you, Matteo."
The words lingered between them, fragile and real. He swallowed, his voice quiet, but no less intense. "I really do... I love you so much. I don’t want to hide what I feel for you anymore."
He searched Matteo’s face, fear slipping through the cracks of his vulnerability.
"But... I need to know." His voice dropped. "Do you really... truly...love me back?"
Matteo stopped dead. The friction ceased, but he remained buried deep inside Adrian, the sudden stillness in the room heavy with sudden, overwhelming gravity. Matteo rose slightly, looking down at Adrian with an unreadable expression.
"What did you just say?"
Adrian reached up, pulling Matteo closer until their foreheads rested against each other. "I love you," he repeated, louder this time, his voice thick with emotion. "I love you... so much more than I ever wanted to admit."
Matteo froze. For a heartbeat, the world seemed to stop; he didn’t move, barely even breathed.
Then something in him snapped, something raw and deeply possessive igniting in his eyes. He leaned down, burying his face in the crook of Adrian’s neck, holding him close as if afraid he might disappear. His kiss followed, deep and desperate, filled with everything he had been holding back, a soulful reclamation, while he began to drive into him again, faster and harder.
His eyes turned glassy, overwhelmed by a love he had never allowed himself to believe would be returned.
Adrian clung to Matteo’s hips, his fingers digging into the man’s skin, urging him deeper with every frantic movement. "Don’t you feel the same?" He murmured, his voice breathless and shattered by the pounding. "Matteo, please... tell me you feel it too."
Matteo’s breath brushed against his skin as he lowered his head, his voice soft, rough with emotion. "I’ve always told you how I feel, baby..." he murmured.
Adrian shook his head slightly, his fingers tightening around him. "I want to hear it again," he said, his voice trembling but insistent. "Can’t you tell me to my face... Don’t love me anymore?"
Matteo didn’t look up, his body language taut and focused on the heavy thrusts. "I do," he grated out, the words barely audible over their rough breathing.
"You didn’t say it," Adrian whispered, a fresh wave of tears hitting his pillow.
Matteo finally pulled back just enough to look at him. His eyes were rimmed red, raw with emotion, shining with an intensity that burned.
"I’m trying to find the words," he said. "I’m trying to explain something that feels bigger than anything I know how to say."
Matteo voice trembling. "I’m trying to find a way to tell you that what I feel is bigger than just a phrase. It’s not just love, Adrian, it’s everything. It’s you being the air I breathe, the only thing that makes me feel human."
Adrian reached up, his hand cupping Matteo’s face. "I don’t need a perfect speech. I just need to hear it. I need to know you love me and that you’ll never, ever abandon me."
The last of Matteo’s iron composure finally gave way. A single tear slipped free, tracing a slow path down his cheek, and this time, he didn’t try to hide it. The vulnerability he’d kept buried for so long broke through, raw and undeniable.
His hand lifted, brushing Adrian’s damp hair back from his forehead with gentleness. He leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to his skin, as if grounding himself in the moment.
When he spoke, his voice was low and broken, thick with a lifetime of emotions he could no longer hold back.
"I love you," Matteo began, his voice breaking. "I know I’ve shown you, over and over, that you mean more to me than my own life, but I want you to hear it. Adrian, look at what I was before you. I was a man of darkness, a man who didn’t know the first thing about warmth, mercy, or hope. I was a weapon, built to destroy. Then you came along, and you cracked my world open."
He leaned down, his forehead resting against Adrian’s. "You are the one who taught me how to love. You taught me how to be a human being again. Every day I spend with you, I want to be better, not for the business, not for the name, but for you. You are the only one I want in my life. You are the only person who saw the man beneath the monster and stayed. I love you, and I promise you, I am never walking away from the only person who gave me a soul."
His hand tightened slightly against Adrian.
"You’re mine... and I’m yours. Now and forever."
A pause.
"I love you, Adrian."
Matteo looked down at him, his expression softening. He offered a small, shy, and rare smile, his thumb tracing the curve of Adrian’s lip. "Did I do well?" he murmured, his voice laced with worry. "Is that... is that what you wanted to hear?"
Adrian didn’t have words left in him; he only had desire. He reached up, pulling Matteo down by the shoulders and wrapping his legs tight around his waist. "I appreciate every word," he said. "But I don’t want to talk anymore. Fuck me, Daddy... fuck me deeper."
He moved his back, pressing himself into Matteo’s hardness. "Spoil me, Daddy. I want to be spoiled. Don’t you dare hold back."
Matteo’s composure vanished, replaced by a dark, hungry resolve. A dangerous smirk played on his lips as he growled, "As you wish. I’m going to serve you exactly what you asked for."
"Make me scream," Adrian challenged...
