Chapter 1 : Very Pure, Very Ambiguous
Chapter 1: Very Pure, Very Ambiguous
“Lawyer Su, I’ll drop you off here. It’s cold outside, you should head up quickly.”
Shen Qingzhou stood in front of the car, dressed in a well-fitted suit, his tall and slender figure illuminated by the headlights, giving him a soft glow as if a filter had been applied, making him appear even more perfect.
Standing opposite him, Su Lu was dressed in professional attire. Perhaps because of the cold, the legs beneath her pencil skirt subconsciously tightened.
After drinking a bit at the evening gathering, she no longer carried her usual aloofness. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, and the way she looked at people had become increasingly hazy.
“It’s cold outside, would you like to come up for a cup of coffee?”
Her usually cool voice had now softened.
“Would that be too much of a disturbance?” Shen Qingzhou frowned slightly, appearing hesitant.
“It won’t be. I’m the only one at home.” Su Lu spoke with a hint of urgency.
“Then I’ll take the liberty.” Shen Qingzhou took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders.
As he drew closer, a strong masculine scent enveloped her, making Su Xi’s consciousness grow even more muddled, her entire body softening.
Shen Qingzhou reached out to smooth her messy bangs, but the moment his fingertips touched her skin, a sudden burning sensation surged up, making his fingers tremble slightly.
“Lawyer Su, do you have a fever?”
After giving her his coat, he was left with only a white shirt. At such a close distance, she could vaguely see his firm chest muscles.
Su Xi subconsciously placed her hand on his chest, warmth transferring between them.
“I’m fine, I’m really fine. Let’s go up quickly. You’re wearing so little, you’ll catch a cold.” Her voice carried faint panting.
“Alright.”
Shen Qingzhou naturally wrapped an arm around her waist and headed upstairs.
At this moment, Su Xi’s entire body felt weak, relying completely on Shen Qingzhou for support.
The moment they entered the house, they didn’t even have time to change shoes before eagerly embracing each other.
Both of them seemed to want to devour the other, to merge each other into their very bodies.
Su Xi wrapped her legs around Shen Qingzhou’s waist, kissing him while taking off her own suit jacket.
Using a brief pause to catch her breath, she whispered, “Carry me to the bedroom.”
Shen Qingzhou supported her fullness with both hands and walked toward the room.
With just a slight pressure of his fingertips, even through the clothes, he could feel the softness.
He had never expected that the usually cold and glamorous Lawyer Su would have such a wild side.
As they passed through the living room on the way to the bedroom, a large photograph hung on the wall caught his eye.
“Lawyer Su, isn’t this a bit inappropriate?”
Though he said this, his hands didn’t stop moving at all.
“He’s already dead!”
Su Xi clung to his neck, her breathing rapid, her body burning hot.
Shen Qingzhou said nothing more and carried her into the bedroom.
At that moment, a faint noise came from the kitchen, but neither of them seemed to notice.
Upon entering the bedroom, there was another photograph hanging at the head of the bed.
Noticing Shen Qingzhou’s gaze, Su Xi whispered in his ear, “Should we change places?”
“No need, let’s stay here.”
Shen Qingzhou firmly refused. This place was perfect.
The two fell onto the bed…
“Turn… turn off the light.” Su Xi said, breathing heavily.
Shen Qingzhou didn’t want to turn off the light.
After all, the contrast between the Su Xi before him and her usual cold demeanor was too great.
And after removing her outerwear, he hadn’t yet taken a proper look at what she wore underneath.
But perhaps his gaze was too intense.
She blushed all over, too shy to even open her eyes, so he complied and turned off the light.
At the very moment he switched off the light, a knife stabbed into Shen Qingzhou’s kidney.
Yet Shen Qingzhou seemed completely unaware, continuing to unfasten his belt.
But at the instant it came undone—
He suddenly pulled it out and whipped it to the side. With a sharp crack, the belt flew out of his hand and landed outside the bedroom door.
---
When Shen Qingzhou woke up, it was already bright daylight. Sunlight streamed in through the window, falling on Su Xi’s half-bare back, making her seem as though she was glowing.
Su Xi’s skin was fair and delicate, pleasant to the touch, making it hard not to want to touch it.
So Shen Qingzhou reached out, running his hand downward. Yet even with such a large movement, Su Xi showed no reaction at all—she must have exhausted too much energy last night.
Thus, Shen Qingzhou gave up continuing the battle, got out of bed, and picked up his pants from the floor to put them on.
At that moment, his gaze caught a knife at the bedside, with a paper figure stuck onto its tip.
He reached out, picked up the knife, removed the paper figure, casually stuffed it into his pocket, then carried the knife in one hand and his pants in the other as he walked into the living room. There, the belt he had thrown out the night before lay quietly on the ground.
However, the belt completely defied the laws of physics.
It seemed to be binding something invisible.
Yet Shen Qingzhou found nothing strange about it.
Because in his eyes, his belt was binding a “person.”
This person looked exactly like the man in the photo, but his body was semi-transparent, as if it could dissipate at any moment.
Shen Qingzhou crouched down and poked the man’s cheek with the tip of the knife.
“You know what I want, right?”
“You won’t die a good death! Even as a ghost, I won’t let you go, you beast, bastard…”
The ghost cursed loudly, struggling violently as layers of black aura emerged from his body.
But at that moment, the belt emitted a golden glow and tightened fiercely, constricting him until he let out a miserable scream.
Only when he lay on the ground, not daring to move even a finger, did it gradually subside.
“Tell me your account access key, and I’ll loosen it for you.”
Shen Qingzhou continued poking his face with the knife tip.
It was like poking a soap bubble—instantly forming a hole, yet quickly restoring itself when the knife was withdrawn.
“Even if my soul is scattered, I won’t tell you, you bastard!”
If looks could kill, Shen Qingzhou would have been riddled with holes by now.
“Oh, quite stubborn. I’ve got plenty of time. You can lie here obediently and listen to my morning exercise…”
As he spoke, Shen Qingzhou stood up and was about to head back to the room.
“Come back… come back… I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you! Just stay away from her…”
The ghost struggled and begged, soon letting out another miserable scream.
Shen Qingzhou crouched down again. After the screams subsided, he took out his phone and signaled with his eyes for the ghost to speak the key.
“9783#PProvence…”
The ghost recited a long string of passwords—precisely because of this complexity, it was difficult to crack through technical means.
Shen Qingzhou wasn’t worried about being deceived, because he could tell whether a ghost was lying.
The ghost was Su Xi’s husband, a financial officer at a company. But two years ago, the company’s boss had fled overseas with the funds.
Taking advantage of the chaos, this ghost had secretly embezzled 300 million, believing he had done it flawlessly. Yet the day after the boss fled, he himself disappeared. When his body was later recovered, he had already bloated significantly.
Who killed him—Shen Qingzhou didn’t know, nor did he care. The other party had found him through an intermediary, and he naturally took on the job.
It definitely wasn’t because of the one-tenth clean commission after success.
But this ghost was very good at hiding. Even with Shen Qingzhou’s methods, he couldn’t find his trace for a time, so he could only start with his wife.
Although this guy was rotten to the core, he truly loved his wife. Back then, he had used plenty of despicable means to obtain Su Xi.
Thus, Shen Qingzhou had spent a full six months setting up last night’s act to lure him out.
As the password was sent, Shen Qingzhou put away his phone, took out the paper figure he had just pocketed, formed a hand seal, chanted an incantation, and then threw it out.
The ghost was instantly sucked into the paper figure, and the belt that defied physics went limp and collapsed.
Shen Qingzhou picked up the belt, fastened it again, straightened his clothes, then quietly left the house and gently closed the door.
On the surface, Shen Qingzhou was a driver at a law firm, responsible for transporting these lawyers. Now that the task was complete, he naturally wouldn’t continue this job.
However, the car still had to be returned—he was a law-abiding good citizen.
By the time he reached the firm, returned the car, and completed the resignation procedures, Su Xi still hadn’t arrived—seems she wouldn’t be coming today.
After leaving the firm’s gate, Shen Qingzhou let out a long breath. Six months of effort hadn’t been in vain. He took out his phone again and sent a message.
“Transfer my payment to my account as soon as possible.”
Then—
A glaring red notification told him the other party had already deleted him.
“I’ll f*ck your mother—how dare you swallow my money?!” Shen Qingzhou exploded in rage.
