Chapter 15 : The Overbearing Ye Yuyou
Chapter 15: The Overbearing Ye Yuyou
Morning sunlight filtered through the curtains into the dim room.
On the soft, fluffy bed, Shen Yi’an, now awake, lifted her face from the warm embrace of softness.
She had slept very well last night—even without sleeping pills.
Sitting up, she leaned against the wooden headboard and turned to look at Ye Yuyou, who was still sleeping sweetly.
She watched for a long while, but in the end, couldn’t resist that breathtaking sleeping face and reached out to touch it.
It felt like stroking soft velvet—delicate and tender.
“Mmm~ An’an~”
Ye Yuyou let out a soft murmur. Startled, Shen Yi’an tried to withdraw her hand, but it was caught by both of Ye Yuyou’s hands and pressed tightly against her soft chest.
Shen Yi’an wanted to pull back, but feared waking her, so she calmly leaned against the headboard, waiting for Ye Yuyou to release her naturally.
Fifteen minutes passed. Her hand had gone slightly numb, yet Ye Yuyou wore a blissful expression, clearly enjoying herself.
Shen Yi’an checked the time with her other hand—9:30. Any later and she’d miss breakfast.
Thinking Ye Yuyou had slept enough, she slowly pulled her hand away.
As expected, despite her care, Ye Yuyou still woke up.
“An’an, where are you going~?” Ye Yuyou asked drowsily.
“Getting up. Where else?” Shen Yi’an replied calmly, getting dressed.
“Then I’ll get up too~”
Before she could rise, Shen Yi’an said coldly, “The bathroom’s small. It’ll be crowded if we use it together. You can sleep a bit longer.”
Without looking back, Shen Yi’an left the room and closed the door.
Left alone, Ye Yuyou pouted in disappointment—she had wanted to wash up together.
She lay back down, turned toward Shen Yi’an’s pillow, pulled it into her arms, and rubbed her face against it repeatedly, looking utterly pleased.
“An’an’s scent smells so nice~ ah~ I can’t take it~”
….
….
“An’an, I was wrong! Let me in, okay~”
Outside the door, Ye Yuyou clutched the handle, acting spoiled.
No matter how sweet her voice was, Shen Yi’an remained unmoved, sitting on the sofa and drinking warm milk.
“An’an~ I really was wrong~” Ye Yuyou let go, whining softly in disappointment.
If anyone who knew Ye Yuyou saw this, they would be shocked.
After all, in others’ eyes, she was a cold, untouchable beauty—elegant yet deadly.
“If you break my door, don’t expect to come in again,” Shen Yi’an said, setting down her cup.
Hearing this, Ye Yuyou immediately let go and stood obediently, waiting.
After a while, the door slowly opened, and Shen Yi’an walked out.
She was dressed in a black suit. Beneath the unbuttoned jacket, a white shirt and black tie were visible. Her left eye, hidden behind slanted bangs, was now covered with a diagonal black eye patch.
She was used to seeing with her right eye—covering it with bangs alone felt unnatural, so she used an eye patch instead.
Tall, cold-faced—even as a woman, she carried a sharp, commanding aura.
More than a girlfriend, she felt like a “husband.”
“An’an~”
Seeing her outfit, Ye Yuyou excitedly rushed forward to hug her.
“I have something to do. Don’t bother me. Go home,” Shen Yi’an said, pressing against her forehead to stop her.
Then she closed the door and walked past.
The system had just issued a mission—to hunt down a fleeing “malignant demi-human.”
Note: Malignant demi-humans possess physical abilities far beyond normal humans. Their moral inclination naturally leans toward evil, and they are often wanted and hunted by the Lighthouse.
“No, I want to go with you, An’an.” Ye Yuyou grabbed the hem of her clothes, following step for step.
“Fine. If you follow me today, don’t follow me ever again,” Shen Yi’an said, looking at the elevator panel.
Hearing this, Ye Yuyou let go, dejected, and quietly followed her into the elevator.
“Where are you going? Is it dangerous?” she asked.
“That’s none of your concern.”
Ye Yuyou hesitated. She was worried—but afraid of annoying her.
After exiting the building, Ye Yuyou suddenly stopped and grabbed Shen Yi’an’s hand.
“An’an, I can stay out of it—but I won’t allow you to get hurt.”
Shen Yi’an looked at her for a long moment before softly replying, “Mm.”
She turned and walked on.
“If anyone causes trouble for An’an, I’ll eliminate them~ no matter who it is~”
Ye Yuyou smiled, yet her aura was chilling.
To her, Shen Yi’an was everything—every injury she suffered felt like her own heart being torn apart.
So she wouldn’t allow anything in this world that could harm Shen Yi’an… nor anyone Shen Yi’an wanted gone—even herself.
“I don’t need you to worry about me. Take care of yourself,” Shen Yi’an said, her gaze softening slightly before returning to calm.
Gradually, the distance between them grew.
Only when Shen Yi’an disappeared did Ye Yuyou reluctantly withdraw her gentle gaze.
The moment she turned, her eyes turned cold.
Today, the Jiuyou Association would send people to assassinate An’an.
Maybe An’an knew. Maybe she had forgotten.
But it didn’t matter.
She would handle everything for An’an—leaving no loose ends.
…
In a quiet district, a girl in a white dress pushed a wheelchair carrying a middle-aged man with a stiff, tilted face.
“Dad, let’s head home after a bit more walking,” Xiao Xiaoxiao said.
“Mm… mm,” the man responded unclearly.
As she pushed the wheelchair, her attention wasn’t on the scenery—not because she was bored, but because she was thinking about Shen Yi’an, who had given her a large sum of money that day.
Even though it was a transaction, what she had done wasn’t worth that much.
And Shen Yi’an didn’t seem like someone foolish with money—instead, she gave off a calm, dependable feeling.
Moreover, Shen Yi’an wasn’t her relative at all—she had been tricked!
Even after receiving the money, Xiao Xiaoxiao felt uneasy. It didn’t feel like something she deserved.
But her father’s treatment was expensive—she needed the money.
Lost in thought, she accidentally tripped over a stone.
As she cried out and stood up, about to apologize to her father, a powerful force suddenly struck the back of her neck.
