One Piece: Fist of the Full Moon

Chapter 135 135: Meaningless Resistance

The island moved…

It had come alive.

It was as if the entire world itself had chosen to become Roldy's enemy. The solid ground beneath his feet was no longer his ally. The earth surged like ocean waves, crashing toward him.

As for Waldo—

His remaining body instantly crumbled into soil.

Far in the distance, the tallest peak of the kingdom suddenly sprouted a human face.

The power of the Shima Shima no Mi (Island-Island Fruit).

A Paramecia ability that allowed its user to merge with an island itself. He could manipulate the land as freely as his own body. And what was an island, if not thousands—no, millions—of tons of mass?

Such extreme weight was the simplest and most brutal of weapons.

Overwhelming force crushed all techniques.

"Roldy! I know you're strong! So try taking this!"

The face formed upon the mountain opened its mouth and spoke.

From Roldy's right, an enormous arm made entirely of earth and stone rose into the air. The movement alone toppled sections of the city wall. Suspended overhead, it resembled a colossal earthen dragon. Its fist was the size of a meteorite.

Before it, even Roldy appeared small.

The punch descended—not particularly fast—but its sheer mass displaced the air, generating visible white shockwaves. Even in the New World, such a catastrophic spectacle was rare.

The kingdom's soldiers were nearly frightened out of their wits.

This was a natural disaster.

"Captain is unbeatable!"

"'Rampaging' Roldy? He won't survive this!"

"This kingdom is ours!"

The pirates erupted in cheers, eyes blazing with manic excitement.

But one man did not celebrate.

The vice captain of the crew—

Waldo's older brother.

Binjack.

Unlike his towering, monstrous younger brother, Binjack was frail to an extreme. It was as though all the nutrients in their mother's womb had been taken by Waldo. Binjack stood barely a meter tall. Even a child could kill him with ease.

Yet no one dared disrespect him aboard the ship.

Not only was he Waldo's brother—

He was the brain of the crew.

The undisputed strategist.

Cough… cough…

Seated in his personal wheelchair, Binjack watched in silence as the burly pirates around him celebrated. Several stood guard at his side.

But one of them soon noticed—

The vice captain's expression was wrong.

"I warned you long ago, my dear brother… We strayed from our original course. This choice of yours was a mistake. With your strength, you cannot defeat that monster."

His voice should have been a roar, but his body was too weak to project it. His tone came out as little more than strained speech. Bloodshot eyes stared toward the battlefield.

Most of the crew lacked brains.

He did not.

Many forces in the world had long been placed on his list of absolute no-go targets—top-tier pirates, and those with overwhelming backing.

Roldy was both.

Yes, Roldy was a former Marine.

But think.

If you truly killed him—if you paraded his severed head before the press and declared your dominance to the world—

Your fame would skyrocket.

Your bounty would soar to unimaginable heights.

And then?

You would face the endless fury of Shiki the Golden Lion.

Even if, by some miracle, you escaped Shiki—

You would face a blood-red-eyed Zephyr.

And an enraged Monkey D. Garp.

Binjack was certain of this deduction. The clues were obvious to anyone who could see.

But perhaps—

He was overthinking it.

Kill Roldy?

Even Shiki himself would not dare claim confidence in that.

The colossal fist eclipsed the sky and came crashing down upon Roldy.

Roldy raised an eyebrow.

Now this was at least somewhat interesting.

"Gahahahaha! Not bad! That punch has power—but…"

The fist slammed into his head.

The absurd weight pressed down upon his body.

Yet no blood splattered.

Instead, the mountain's face froze in shock.

Ignoring the cheers of his subordinates, Waldo slowly lifted the massive stone fist.

Roldy was still standing there.

Beneath him lay a massive crater. His calves were completely embedded into the earth.

Yet his posture was steady.

Unshaken.

The Armament Haki Coating on his forehead gleamed darkly, as if explaining everything.

Even if you piled over 100 tons of cotton into a mountain-sized mass—

It could never crush a nail forged from the hardest material in the world.

The nail would pierce through it.

Just as Roldy now stood piercing through the weight of the island.

"The game's over. Shiki is still waiting for me to bring your head back for the banquet."

Though he acknowledged the strength of the Island-Island Fruit, to Roldy—

It was nothing special.

Such a massive structure made it impossible to apply Armament Haki to its surface.

And mere stone could never compare to the hardness of his Haki.

Though the face was made of rock, everyone present could imagine Waldo's expression turning ashen.

Roldy casually shook his head, scattering dirt and rubble from his hair.

Then—

He vanished.

Only a sharp sonic shriek lingered in the air.

In the next instant, half of the mountain's face exploded away.

To most onlookers, it was impossible to see clearly.

But Waldo knew.

He had just taken a direct punch.

The force was so overwhelming that he felt the brush of death.

And it wasn't over.

Punch after punch followed.

Roldy's speed was unimaginable.

He activated his Devil Fruit power—

The Moa Moa no Mi, amplifying his speed thirtyfold.

He moved like a soaring dragon.

Within just a few breaths, the massive face was reduced to a single remaining eye.

"That eye is still blinking. So your real body is hiding there, huh?"

A massive fragment of stone fell from the sky.

Roldy stepped lightly onto it.

His words rang out—

Like a death knell delivered by the Grim Reaper.
