One Piece: Fist of the Full Moon

Chapter 133 133: “World Destroyer”

Boom!

A cannon shell exploded against the walls of the royal capital. Several soldiers, sweat streaming down their faces, were instantly blown to pieces. Blinding flames and suffocating smoke engulfed the battlements.

The commander in charge of the city's defense clenched his teeth as he stared toward the open plains beyond the walls.

There, a group of vicious-looking pirates stood grinning maliciously, watching him with mocking amusement. At their head stood a towering man whose presence alone was overwhelming. Dressed like a domineering Viking, his thick, rugged beard accentuated the brutality in his features.

Just recalling his name was enough to make the commander tremble.

"World Destroyer" — Byrnndi World .

A terror of the New World, carrying a bounty of 734,000,000 Berries.

An enemy of that caliber was far beyond what a mere small kingdom could handle. Driving him back was impossible; surviving even briefly against him would already be a miracle.

After all, he had eaten the Shima Shima no Mi (Island-Island Fruit).

With it, he could merge with an entire island in an instant, turning the land itself into his weapon. The sheer mass and weight of the island became his greatest strength. Relying on this near–bug-level ability, he had already wiped six kingdoms off the map.

And now… was it their turn?

The bombardment continued without pause, yet the pirates showed no urgency to launch a full assault. They were toying with them. Savoring the pleasure of slaughter.

There was no doubt that once those butchers entered the city, not a single civilian would survive.

The commander—who had climbed to his rank through hard-earned military merit—hated his own weakness more than anything.

"General! We can't hold them back! The western wall's been breached! The pirates are charging in!"

A soldier with blood streaming down his forehead shouted urgently.

The commander showed no fear.

"Then we fight them to the death! As long as I'm still breathing, I won't let those bastards set foot inside the royal capital!"

Everything he held dear was behind him.

But even so… he still clung to hope.

"Byrnndi World !!!"

A terrified scream rang out from another section of the wall. The commander turned—

Waldo was already standing atop the battlements.

His massive, muscular frame radiated suffocating pressure. Trembling soldiers pointed their blades at him, yet Waldo merely yawned in boredom.

"The last city already? And still this dull. Honestly, can't you kingdoms raise a real powerhouse? It's been ages since I've enjoyed a proper fight."

Byrnndi World strode forward step by step.

At last, one soldier snapped under the pressure. With a desperate roar, he slashed at Waldo's arm.

Clang!

The saber shattered clean in half.

Waldo's arm bore only a shallow scratch.

"Bravery deserves praise."

He seized the soldier's head in one hand.

With a squeeze—

The skull burst like a watermelon.

Blood splattered across his palm.

The horrifying sight shattered the soldiers' morale. Many collapsed to the ground in despair.

The commander forced himself to stand tall, glaring at Waldo with fury.

"You may not know this, Waldo! But our kingdom is not like the others you destroyed! This land stands under the protection of Shiki the Golden Lion! You may be strong—but against someone of Shiki's caliber, you'd be cut down in disgrace!"

Ever since Roldy had interfered, the Moa Moa no Mi had never fallen into Waldo's hands. His strength was far inferior to his original trajectory—and even now, he was nowhere near the level of monsters like Whitebeard or Shiki.

The commander tried to invoke a tiger's might for protection.

But he had forgotten something.

When Waldo first launched his invasion, he had already seen the flag of the Golden Lion Pirates.

And he did not care.

"Shiki? Just another loser from God Valley. You think I'm scared of him?"

Waldo grabbed the commander by the throat and lifted him high overhead.

"You think I scare easy? Even if Shiki showed up right now—so what?"

Up until now, Waldo had never faced a truly top-tier monster who stood on an entirely different level. His journey had been smooth, almost effortless.

Like many rising rookies, his ambition soared higher than the sky.

How could a so-called great pirate intimidate him?

"Oh? So you're pretty brave, huh?"

A ghostlike voice suddenly sounded from above his head.

Waldo answered reflexively.

"Of course I am! I'm brave as hell!"

The moment the words left his mouth, he realized something was wrong.

Why was the "insect" in his grip looking delighted?

And how… was that voice coming from above him?

His battle instincts screamed in warning.

Without hesitation, Waldo hurled the commander aside and spun, throwing a massive punch behind him.

He had absolute confidence in his strength.

Very few could withstand one of his blows head-on.

His fist struck solidly—

But the sensation that traveled up his arm made his face change instantly.

He had clearly hit a person.

Yet it felt as though he had struck an iron mountain—dense, immovable, forged from black steel.

His power was insignificant before that body.

"What a unique way to greet someone. A pleasure to meet you, Byrnndi World ."

Waldo looked up.

The man before him was both unfamiliar and eerily familiar.

He was certain they had never crossed paths.

Yet that face—

It had appeared on a wanted poster.

The aura radiating from the man was even more tyrannical and domineering than his own.

Waldo's expression turned bitter.

"'Rampaging' Roldy…"

Only now, face-to-face, did he truly understand the gulf between them.

For the first time in his life—

Byrnndi World felt something called fear.
