Chapter 179: Do You Want to Join Us?
A blood-drenched beast bone appeared in Sangze’s hand.
Sangkun fell to the ground like a broken doll.
Qingli rushed forward in shock, her face streaked with tears as she looked at Sangkun, his features twisted in agony.
"Sangze, you... how could you hurt your brother like this? He’s your own flesh and blood!"
Sangze applied a bit of pressure with his fingertips, and the beast bone instantly turned to ash. Intense killing intent erupted from his mismatched eyes.
"Brother? When he fed me that forbidden drug and split my beast soul, did he think of me as his brother? When he tried everything he could to cripple me, did he remember I was his little brother?"
Qingli looked up, stunned. "What? This... how could this be..."
Sanggu’s face darkened. "Nonsense. It’s obvious you became this way because you stole the Priest’s forbidden drug. How can you blame your older brother?"
Sangze suddenly burst out laughing. "HAHAHA." He advanced on Sanggu, step by step. "Did I steal the forbidden drug, or did you secretly create it to make a monster? You know better than anyone who turned me into this, my father."
A plume of dark smoke erupted, instantly enveloping Sanggu.
Sanggu’s expression changed. He tried to retreat quickly, only to find he was completely unable to break through the dense black fog.
"Clan Leader!"
Baili and Songyan’s faces paled as they rushed forward to help.
Just as Sangze was about to engage Songyan and the others, he caught sight of a massive, crimson snake.
Sangze’s lips curved into a smile. In a flash, he leaped onto the giant snake and hugged it tightly.
"Sunxiao, you must have been so worried I’d get hurt that you couldn’t wait to come out and help me."
The scarlet serpent’s eyes darkened. With a single flick of its body, Sunxiao threw him off.
Sangze landed steadily on his feet. "Still so heartless."
Below the sacrificial altar, Feiyan carried Qiao Xixi and the others to where Jin Ling was hidden.
"Mother, over here! This spot has the best view," Qiao Ang said, waving Qiao Xixi over when he saw she was back.
Feiyan leaped onto the eaves, still holding Qiao Xixi.
"Are you all okay?"
Qiao Lie shook his head. "We’re fine. Big Sister also treated Father Jin Ling."
Qiao Xixi quickly went to check on Jin Ling’s injuries. Seeing that his complexion was healthy, she finally relaxed.
"BOOM!"
A tremendous crash sounded from behind, startling Qiao Xixi into turning around. The sacrificial altar had collapsed.
Sanggu’s eyes widened in shock as he struggled to pry away the hand Sangze had wrapped around his neck.
"I... I’m your... fa... father..."
Sangze just grunted. "And?"
"You... you can’t... kill me."
Sangze tilted his head, pretending to consider it seriously. "You’re right. In that case... I’ll just cripple you."
"AHH!"
After an ear-piercing scream, Sanggu collapsed to the ground like a pile of mud.
Qingli cried out and rushed over. "Sanggu! Sanggu, are you okay? Don’t scare me, Sanggu!"
Sangze toyed with the bloody beast bone, his expression blank.
"Back then, when you were feeding me that forbidden drug every day, you never imagined this day would come."
"Sangze, your mother never thought you would turn out like this."
Tears streamed down Qingli’s face. In a single day, her beast-husband and her son had both been crippled!
Sangze turned slowly, his cold gaze fixed on her. "If it weren’t for that idiot, you would have died today, too."
Qingli’s face instantly turned as white as a sheet.
Sangze then saw Songyan and Baili fighting Sunxiao. A smirk touched his lips, and in a flash, he appeared at Sunxiao’s side.
"Let me help you, big snake."
"Get lost."
Sunxiao opened his massive, bloody maw and lunged at Baili.
Baili retreated quickly, but his body was frozen in place by a black mist. He looked up in disbelief. The next instant, he was devoured.
Songyan’s pupils constricted in horror. He turned and fled.
Sunxiao slithered rapidly in pursuit.
Qiao Xixi watched from a distance, amazed. For a moment, she actually thought that Sangze and Sunxiao worked together seamlessly.
Before Qiao Xixi could gather her thoughts, her vision went dark. Those wild, mismatched eyes were practically pressed against her face. The next moment, she was swept into his arms, and the only sound was the WHOOSH of the wind in her ears.
"Sangze, what are you doing? Where are you taking me?"
Sangze stopped, placing a finger on her lips. "Shh. Don’t ask. If you ask, the answer is... I don’t know either."
His speed was simply too fast. Afraid of falling, Qiao Xixi could only cling to him tightly.
She didn’t know how much time had passed before he finally stopped.
Qiao Xixi felt like her face had been frozen stiff by the night wind.
Before Qiao Xixi could even react, a pair of cool lips pressed down on hers.
The wild and frenzied aura that was uniquely Sangze’s completely enveloped her.

Qiao Xixi pressed her hands against his chest, trying to escape his overwhelming presence.
’She remembered back at the water prison, when Sunxiao had pulled his battered body from the water. Her heart had trembled with uncontrollable fear. Even though Sangqi kept telling her that he wouldn’t die, seeing him with his eyes shut tight had still been unbearable.’
"Little female, do you like me a lot? Do you want me to be your first beast-husband, hmm?"
The enchanting voice whispered in her ear, warm breath ghosting over her skin. Qiao Xixi’s breathing grew ragged, her gaze becoming hazy.
But she quickly realized—this guy was trying to bewitch her!

Sangze lifted her chin, his gaze dropping to her moist, red lips with domineering possessiveness.
"Little liar."
His kiss fell again.
’Calm down, calm down,’ Qiao Xixi told herself. ’The children are still waiting for me.’
But Sangze’s kisses were just like him—frenzied, audacious, and slowly making her lose herself.
Desire surged from the depths of his mismatched eyes. He gently laid her down on the soft grass, his searing kisses assaulting her once more.
’Qiao Xixi was going crazy. If this continued, the last of her defenses would be shattered!’
Suddenly, a cold, sinister aura washed over them.
Sangze paused, lazily glancing over his shoulder.
"Big snake, getting so close. You want to join us?"
