Chapter 86: Awakening
Adal hurried down the stairs as Juliette’s body began to glow. Her once creamy white skin was now shining golden like the sun, becoming the primary light source of the library.
The visitors all watched in awe as the woman stared down at her hands in disbelief. The baby whom Juliette had just helped calm down, watched with amusement in his eyes. The baby was not scared, and even began to reach his hands out, as though he wished to be held by the glowing woman.
By the time Adal had arrived, there was a small audience around her. He filtered his way through and stood over her.
The glow of her skin had begun to fade, and once it had, she was left standing there with a look of surprise on her face. Yet, she looked relaxed and renewed.
Adal stepped closer, examining her closely. He did not even have to use his system scanner to realise what had happened. Still, he did, and what he saw shocked even him.

"Adal... What is this?"
She spoke calmly. Her voice seemed to soothe those around her.
He wanted to explain it to her, but it was important for him to keep the details private. He took her elsewhere before discussing what had taken place. The library visitors returned to their tables, but the entire time, they couldn’t keep their eyes off the woman who was glowing only moments earlier.
...
Adal and Juliette sat at a table on the second floor of the Library, out of the visitors’ earshot.
The woman fiddled with the sleeves of her librarian outfit as she waited for Adal to talk. She watched as he used a strange device that looked nothing like anything she had ever seen before.
It was the smartphone, which Adal was using to research what he had seen in her system.
Previously, he had hidden the smartphone, and his own awakening, although he was sure that Juliette had some sort of suspicions that he was not exactly normal. Now, he was not so bothered.
After all, the pair were now much more alike.
"Juliette, you have awakened. I’m sure you know what that is."
Juliette blinked. It was as she had expected.
Everybody knew about awakenings, but since they were so rare, knowledge of them was scarce. It was said that anyone could awaken at any moment in their lives, and were often required to give the information of their awakening to their respective kingdom, so that they might utilise their abilities.
Adal had done no such thing when he awakened his own class.
"More specifically, your awakening is unique. The Sanctuary Bride. I want you to focus on that word in your mind, and think about learning its meaning."
"O-okay..."
Juliette did as Adal told her to, and this was what she saw.
[Sanctuary Bride]
The Sanctuary Bride is a living refuge. She is a woman who turns devotion into power and protection. Where she stands, the world becomes peaceful. People’s fears are taken away, their pain is slowly eaten away, and chaos runs away from the threshold she creates. Her strength does not lie in domination and violence, but rather in peace. This strength is drawn from those who mean most to her.

"The sanctuary Bride..." Her words trailed off.
Adal smiled and nodded his head.
According to his smartphone Wikipedia, this was a unique class once owned by the first queen of the Torn Empire. That woman, Antanessa Wellington, was a wife who used her aura to soothe the nation’s people, as they took over the kingdom that came before it, and put them under new rulership.
For her to have awakened such a class can only mean one thing. Her love for me is deeper than I ever could have imagined.
And yet, Adal would say this to her. He would leave her to acknowledge it herself, so that he would not appear vain.
An awakening was a personal thing that required privacy, and time to explore yourself. It was what he had done when Opal had awakened the succubus class, though her situation was different. The princess has struggled to advance, since she was previously unable to receive pleasure from the man she had formed a connection with, thanks to her father’s rules.
As for Juliette, her system could evolve every day. The more she cared for others, especially the one who meant most to her, the stronger she would continue to become stronger.
"This is... I like this class. It feels surreal, but I thank the Mother for this gift... But Adal, what do I do now? I know hardly anything about magic and powers."
Adal rose to his feet and made his way to stand behind Juliette. He placed his hands on her shoulders to help her relax, but to his great surprise, he found that he too felt soothed whilst he touched her.
This could be really helpful.
"Don’t worry, Juliette." He said, as he gently massaged her shoulders, and felt her relax in his grasp. "Take your time to figure out how the system works. I am here for you whenever you need guidance. I am well versed in systems, as you have probably figured out by now."
His grasp moved lower, to the top of the woman’s chest, where the soft fat of her breasts began to protrude. He did not grope at her, though.
"Yes, I had a hunch... Adal, it says I am level 2 here, which I assume is how far I have progressed through the system. You have awakened, right? How powerful are you? O-of course, only if you don’t mind sharing this information with me."
He felt her sinking deeper into his hands, so he finally dropped them lower, cupping the woman’s breasts in his hands and feeling the fat mould in between his fingers. Her nipples grew erect, and pleasure ran through her body as his fingers grazed over them.
[You have reached level 16!]
[Please Select A New Skill]
Adal smiled, as the woman’s pleasure pushed him to new heights.
He looked forward to seeing how they would both progress as time went on.
"Me? I am level 16. Now come, let us help each other progress further."
