Chapter 63 : The Love God’s Whisper (3)

“So this is Master’s love too, isn’t it?”

Eluca’s head lay immersed in the pool of blood.

As though she had grasped some profound truth, her brows relaxed, and her face shone with delight.

“As expected of you, Master. I’ve already worked so hard, yet when it comes to understanding love, you’re always one step ahead of me.”

“What are you even...”

Ann retreated into the corner, unable to hide the fear in her heart.

Could someone in this world really remain alive with nothing but a head left?

“Ah, this?” Eluca seemed to notice the terror and confusion in Ann’s eyes. Her head began to roll, rolling and rolling until it reached Ann’s feet. Then she narrowed her eyes, stared at Ann, and let out a giggling laugh.

“Master, there’s no need to be afraid. This is the power of love. As long as there is love, anything is possible!”

“Anything is possible... That is only the power of an evil god.”

Forcing herself to stay calm, Ann gritted her teeth and said, “Are you truly willing to become something like this, Eluca?”

“Willing? Why would I not be willing? I’m wonderful like this, aren’t I? I’ve never felt better in my life!”

“...”

“Well then, since Master has so earnestly shown me the true meaning of love, I cannot let Master’s painstaking efforts go to waste.”

Eluca suddenly split her lips into a savage grin, while an eerie glow flickered within her eyes.

“Master, come and experience my love too!!”

Gurgle.

Gurgle.

The moment Eluca finished speaking, her severed limbs began to writhe and grow before the naked eye.

But those limbs did not reconnect to their original positions, nor did the severed wounds align.

So from the blood-soaked gashes, malformed and twisted limbs continued to sprout forth.

Flesh, sinew, and bone regrew in a tangled mass, sticking the old severed limbs and chunks of body back together, stitching them into something utterly beyond human shape...

A monster.

The “monster” lifted Eluca’s head, yet did not place it back above her neck.

Instead, it pressed that beautiful head into the bloated, swollen body that could no longer possibly be called a maiden’s form.

The flesh wriggled and swallowed the head whole, and beneath where Eluca’s head had vanished, two more faces gradually emerged.

They were her parents’ faces.

Three faces embedded in the monster’s abdomen gave off a nausea-inducing chill that defied description.

A true family really did end up together, neat and complete.

“Ah, I can feel it... a love greater than ever before!”

Eluca’s face flushed with a distorted redness.

The revolting monster stretched out a malformed limb with more than a dozen fingers and suddenly lunged at Ann.

“I love you, Master!”

“Do not touch me!”

Ann shouted in a low, sharp voice.

A massive metal scythe condensed in her hand and instantly severed the malformed limb reaching for her.

At the same time, a metal cylinder drove brutally into the monster’s body.

Then, under Ann’s control, it transformed in an instant into countless hair-thin spikes, piercing outward from within the flesh.

At that moment, the monster looked like a cactus grown wild inside a flowerpot.

Yet even after being skewered from the inside out like a hedgehog, the creature showed no sign of weakening. Eluca’s eyes, both pierced through by the metal spikes, still rolled restlessly.

“Ah... it still seems to be not enough...”

“This much love... is not enough...”

“I want more, more, more...”

Bang.

Bang.

Bang.

Suddenly, knocking sounds came from outside the room’s window.

Heavy, violent knocking.

Crash.

With a sharp explosive sound, the window shattered instantly.

Figures dressed in ordinary villagers’ clothes streamed in from outside one after another.

Through the gaps between those figures, Ann could clearly see that in the once-quiet little fishing village, one tightly shut door after another had suddenly opened. Human figures stumbled out, swaying toward this place like walking corpses.

Their faces were pale. Some wore numb expressions, some wept in agony, yet every one of them bore a blissful smile at the corners of their lips.

“I love you...”

They spoke with smiles.

And then—Like stranded fish seeking the sea, they struggled and writhed, squeezing in through the broken window, impatiently throwing themselves into the monster’s swelling mass of flesh.

Old limbs and new limbs twisted together, forming an indescribable abomination.

“Woof.”

Ann heard a familiar bark.

She turned around and saw the naked man crawling in from outside the room, creeping step by step toward the monster.

“No.”

Ann instinctively reached out, trying to stop him.

But the man suddenly twisted aside to avoid her, then turned back.

“Rrrgh...”

He bared his teeth, snarling.

Just like a real dog, he threatened off the approach of a stranger.

Then, taking advantage of the instant Ann was forced back, he sprang forward on all fours and hurled himself into the monster’s body.

“Ah, my dear, you came.”

Eluca cried out in delight,

“Let us... become one.”

“How... how can this be...”

Only now did Ann realize that there was nothing she could do.

She could not kill Eluca, nor could she stop what was happening before her.

All she could do was watch helplessly as the monster in the room swelled larger and larger, filled with more and more flesh.

Soon it stuffed the entire room to bursting.

Just like Eluca’s endless love—a love that seemed bent on devouring everything.

...

...

“Ah, these mountains.”

“Ah, this water.”

“Ah, this warm sunlight of early autumn.”

“Ah, and this scent of freedom.”

“It’s damn wonderful.”

Beneath the azure sky, beside a clear little river, Muen sat atop a broad flat rock, leisurely enjoying this rare moment of peace with a homemade fishing rod in hand.

“No yandere maid hunting me down, no disgusting perverted gay man, and no need to worry about being poisoned, ambushed, or imprisoned. A life like this is truly beautiful. I really want it to go on forever.”

“I should just retire into the mountains and forests at this rate.”

Muen took a bite from a wild fruit he had casually picked from a tree.

Its sweet flavor filled his tongue, making him so happy he almost wanted to cry.

“Ah, I got a bite.”

The crude fishing rod in his hand suddenly grew heavy.

Tossing the wild fruit aside, Muen steadied his breathing and began a desperate life-and-death struggle of dignity and honor against the fish in the river.

Before long, the fish was hauled up.

“If only I had a camera. I’d really like to take a picture with it to commemorate this.”

Looking at the massive fish in his hands, one that weighed at least several jin, Muen felt an immense sense of satisfaction settle in his heart.

For a true angler, what could be more exhilarating than catching a fish big enough to boast about?

“I’ll roast it.”

After a brief moment of thought, Muen decisively settled the fish’s fate.

Soon a campfire was lit, and the fish was skewered over a branch.

As he watched the flames kiss the flesh and the aroma of roasting fish gradually spread through the air, the happiness in Muen’s heart swelled until it nearly overflowed.

Peaceful years, tranquil days.

Muen hummed softly to himself, unable to stop the smile tugging at his lips.

“At this point, even if a meteor came crashing down right now, it wouldn’t shake this absurdly happy heart of mine.”

—The instant the words left his mouth,

Muen heard a tremendous crash not far away.

Something had suddenly flown over and slammed into the small hill behind him.

Dust billowed everywhere.

“...”

Muen turned his head stiffly, the corner of his mouth twitching.

No way, Mr. Meteor. I was only joking. Did you really have to come crashing down?
