Chapter 194 - 195: The Pig Demon Leaves
But before it could even show its anger, its attention was captured by the talisman paper Su Nian slowly pinched between her fingers.
The talisman paper looked unremarkable, but the demon could see the Spiritual Power fluctuating and flowing upon it.
It looked light and flimsy, but the Pig Demon was certain that if it touched it, the pain would be absolutely excruciating.
"Okay, I’ll give it right away!"
In a flash, the Pig Demon’s expression changed, and it put on a righteous and sensible look.
"That’s good."
Su Nian smiled and slowly put away the talisman paper.
As if nothing had happened, the Pig Demon closed its eyes, on the verge of tears. Some golden, celestial mist appeared above its head, like silken threads weaving together before slowly drifting over to Sister Xu’s head.
It then slowly entered her body through the crown of her head.
Sister Xu’s entire body seemed to undergo a transcendent experience; even the expression on her face became one of pure bliss.
[That expression... something feels off...]
[Uhh, it’s like she’s been satisfied in every possible way.]
[Something feels off, but I’m not gonna say what.]
[A bit weird. Not sure, I’ll keep watching.]
After a while, Sister Xu opened her eyes, looking content.
If you asked her to describe the feeling in detail, she wouldn’t be able to.
It was just warm and incredibly comfortable, as if her entire body was filled with joy.
"That felt so good! I feel like I could live for a hundred years!"
Su Nian shook her head. "Living for a hundred years is a bit of a stretch..."
"Of course it feels good! That stuff is incredibly rare. I only have a tiny bit left now."
The Pig Demon’s eyes were filled with resentment and grievance.
It then looked at Sister Xu hopefully.
"Benefactor, I’ve repaid my debt, right? Can I go now?"
After what Su Nian had said, Sister Xu was now a bit warier, so she turned to look at Su Nian.
Seeing Su Nian nod, she nodded as well.
The Pig Demon was furious but didn’t dare to show it.
"Since my debt is repaid, I’m leaving!"
With that, the Pig Demon left.
Sister Xu didn’t mind, contentedly feeling the changes in her own body.
"Thank you, Master. Otherwise, I would’ve been completely fooled by it."
Su Nian nodded without saying much.
After she saw Sister Xu out, another young man walked in.
His steps were unsteady, and the skin under his eyes was dark and puffy. Combined with his listless expression, he looked like he’d been overindulging, giving off the distinct impression of someone destined for an early grave.
"You’re the master???"
But even in his state, he grew critical the moment he saw Su Nian.
[Whoa, it’s been a while since we saw someone doubt the Heavenly Venerate.]
[Let me guess how long until he eats his words.]
[About three minutes?]
[I don’t know about him eating his words, but if he keeps up that tone, I bet the Heavenly Venerate will literally slap his face swollen.]
He had never seen Su Nian’s livestream and didn’t know who she was. He had only come because a friend told him this Daoist Temple was uncannily effective, but now he wasn’t so sure.
"Someone like you is a master?"
It was no wonder he was so surprised and skeptical. Normal Mystic Masters were either sagely figures with flowing white beards or blind men in sunglasses. This fashionable, stunning beauty was supposed to be a master fortune-teller?!
Su Nian glanced at him but didn’t speak, simply giving a slight nod.
Zhao Lei was clearly unconvinced.
However, since he was already here, he sat down, even though he’d already cursed his unreliable friend a hundred times in his head.
His tone, however, was less than pleasant.
"How about you start by telling me about my life."
Su Nian nodded and looked at his face.
"Your eyebrows are incomplete, which indicates a weak connection with benefactors. You receive little help from friends or family. In your career, you don’t get along with colleagues and are prone to financial loss and disaster. Furthermore, the eyebrows also reflect the health of the liver and gallbladder."
"You have a peculiar temper, get angry easily, and you have liver disease."
Hearing Su Nian’s words, the man, who had been thoroughly displeased, raised his eyebrows high and began to nod incessantly.
