Chapter 208: Seville’s Fit of Jealousy
"Little Pink, I missed you too."
Su An’an’s fingertips gently caressed the reactivated Light Brain, her butterfly wings trembling slightly with nervousness.
"Quick, tell me, what’s the situation outside?"
"Big Cat, Night Abyss, Fei Zhao, and Cangming must be going crazy with worry, right?"
"Your Highness!"
The tentacles on Little Pink’s head shot straight up. "They really are going crazy!"
"They dragged Louis to the Judgement Court and tortured him for a confession without any conclusive evidence."
"But that bastard turned around and accused Night Abyss and the others of acting without authorization, causing the Federation to declare war!"
A Light Screen suddenly materialized, clearly displaying the scene inside the Judgement Court.
Night Abyss’s dragon tail was stretched taut, his Dragon Scales trembling faintly under immense pressure.
Ying Jiuyao’s tiger ears were pressed flat against his scalp, a suppressed growl rumbling in his throat.
Fei Zhao’s fox tail slapped restlessly against the ground, his fiery red fur bristling.
Lan Cangming’s ear fins were slightly flared, his fingertips digging deep into his palm.
Alita stood on the high platform, her blue cat-like eyes burning with a terrifying fury, yet her voice was as cold as arctic ice.
"The four of you are her Beast Husbands, yet you couldn’t even protect your Female Master."
"Not only did you cause Anan’s disappearance, but you’ve also been framed for the murder of the President’s daughter, Nicola."
"Now the Federation is tearing up the peace treaty to declare war on the Empire."
She slammed her hand on the bench. "What face do you have to stand here?!"
The faces of Night Abyss and the other Beast Husbands turned ashen, but they had nothing to say.
’Is my second sister crazy?!’
Su An’an trembled with rage.
’It was obviously that bastard Louis who conspired with the Federation.’
"Little Pink! Connect me to the Judgement Court, now!"
Just as her fingertips were about to touch the Light Brain, an unusually scorching presence assaulted her from behind.
Seville’s golden Wings descended like a shroud of night, trapping her completely within their shadow.
"Anan, my little butterfly!"
Seville’s voice was so gentle it sent shivers down her spine, his amber eyes locked on the pathetic sight of Night Abyss and the other Beast Husbands on the Light Screen.
"The way you fly into a rage for them... it makes me so jealous."
The pad of his thumb stroked Su An’an’s slender, pale neck, filled with a terrifying possessiveness.
"You belong to me. You’re not allowed to look at them."
"What nonsense are you spouting?"
Su An’an turned back in shock, her butterfly wings tensing under Seville’s abnormal, oppressive aura.
’Something’s wrong!’
She keenly caught the wild glint that flashed in Seville’s eyes.
’That was definitely not the look of the eternally proud and ruthless Swan Priest.’
Just as she was about to get a closer look, a black glimmer flitted beneath Seville’s collar, so fast it was like an illusion.
"Your Highness! There’s no time!"
Little Pink’s shrill electronic voice blared.
"The chief judge is about to bring down the gavel! Night Abyss, Big Cat, and the others will be exiled to the Black Tower!"
"Shut up!"
Seville suddenly roared, and the royal crest on his chest exploded with a blinding Golden Light.
The tips of his fingers, gripping Su An’an’s chin, were scalding hot. Something was struggling madly in the depths of his pupils.
"Every second you spend saving them is torture by a thousand cuts to my sanity."
Su An’an grabbed his wrist in a reverse grip, her furious gaze burning like a torch.
"Seville, don’t you dare lose your mind here!"
She stood on her toes and bit down hard on his Adam’s apple. As she tasted blood, her lips brushed against his scorching skin.
"Either help me or leave me! I don’t need an out-of-control Beast Husband holding me back!"
Seville’s pupils contracted sharply.
The Curse Pattern writhed madly under his robes, and a sharp pain, like a blade carving into his heart, snapped him back to his senses.
"I’m sorry. I lost my composure."
Three seconds later, Seville abruptly released her.
His long, silver-purple hair fell forward, hiding his paper-pale face.
When he looked up again, his usual proud and aloof expression had returned.
"Hurry!"
Su An’an turned back to stare intently at the screen, not noticing that the fingertips Seville placed on the Light Brain’s signal emitter were trembling nonstop.
The moment Seville infused a Golden Light to boost the signal, his blood-stained Adam’s apple bobbed, and his voice was so soft only she could hear it.
"Do what you have to do."
"Got it!"
Su An’an took a deep breath, and her spiritual power instantly linked with the Light Brain.
The air in the Judgement Court’s chamber was frozen solid.
Louis stood in the witness box, his long golden hair falling just so, perfectly concealing the upward curve of his lips.
His fingertips brushed over the spiritual power amplifier hidden in his cuff as he calculated inwardly: ’Just ten more minutes. Once the chief judge’s gavel falls, Night Abyss and the others will be locked away in the Black Tower, their treason conviction sealed.’
A sneer flashed in his beast-like eyes, and he almost laughed out loud. ’Su An’an’s body is trapped in the Otherworldly Space forever. From now on, no one will ever be able to sway Alita’s will.’
’She will be completely and utterly mine.’
"Order!"
The chief judge raised the gavel. The dull thud of wood against stone suppressed the undercurrents in the court.
Louis bowed his head, feigning terror, but his fingertips clenched tightly within his sleeve. His spiritual power spread out like a fine net, silently blanketing the entire courtroom. ’Yes, that’s it. Announce the verdict quickly.’
ZZZZAP!
A piercing shriek of electricity suddenly erupted, tearing through his spiritual barrier like an ice-coated awl.
"The true culprit behind the Federation’s declaration of war,"
A familiar voice cut through the static, crashing down like a thunderclap, filled with an unmistakable chill.
"Louis, how long are you going to keep up this act?!"
"Anan?!"
Alita shot up from the plaintiff’s stand, oblivious as her heavy cloak slid from her shoulders.
Her blue cat-like eyes instantly filled with moisture. Her slender fingers gripped the railing so tightly that her knuckles turned white.
The reaction of the Four Great Beast Husbands was like a volcanic eruption.
Night Abyss’s dragon pupils constricted, the tip of his tail striking sparks from the floor.
Ying Jiuyao’s tiger ears shot straight up into sharp points, the furry tips trembling with extreme excitement.
Fei Zhao’s fox tail froze mid-air, every strand of his once-fluffy, fiery red fur standing on end, like a suddenly ignited ball of flame.
Lan Cangming kicked his chair over, his flared ear fins instantly turning blood-red as the space around him chilled by ten degrees.
"How is that possible?"
Louis snapped his head up, his pupils contracting violently in shock.
On the Light Screen, Su An’an’s gaze was like a torch. A cold arc played on her lips as she looked down on him from above.
The color drained from Louis’s face in an instant, his lips trembling.
’Impossible! The Otherworldly Space was clearly sealed!’
His long fingers unconsciously clenched the fabric over his chest, crumpling the expensive material.
"Surprised?"
Su An’an sneered. Her butterfly wings fluttered gently, scattering Phosphorus Powder that refracted into a rainbow of colors under the courtroom lights.
She raised her hand elegantly, and the Light Screen immediately switched to an audio recording. "Why don’t we all have a listen to this?"
In the recording, Louis’s sinister voice was clearly audible:
"Kill Su An’an, and the Divine Medicine will be the Rebel Army’s ticket to conquering the Empire."
Beneath his golden hair, Louis’s blue eyes contracted violently, but he quickly let out a low chuckle.
"A forged recording?"
Louis elegantly adjusted his cuffs, but a trace of panic flashed in the blue eyes under his golden hair.
"Su An’an, you’ve really gone to great lengths to save those Beast Husbands."
Before his words had even faded, his fingertips had already begun to move stealthily.
His spiritual power snaked toward the Light Screen like a fine spiderweb, attempting to destroy the evidence.
