The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1747 - 1746: Private Detective

The light flickered, but within a second, Ling Feng felt several cold gleams coming straight for his face!

The woman had already discovered him, so she didn’t hesitate and immediately launched an attack.

Yet despite the speed of the cold gleams, they remained under Ling Feng’s control, and he simply shifted slightly to evade them.

Seeing the woman turn to leave, Ling Feng quickly said, "Don’t be nervous, I mean no harm!"

"Who are you?"

The woman’s voice was clear, but her tone was ice-cold.

"Someone with the same purpose as you!"

Ling Feng chuckled and continued, "I know I’m late, so I want to share some information with you. Would you be interested?"

"Don’t even think about it!"

The woman clearly felt full of caution and vigilance towards Ling Feng, saying this before turning again, trying to flee the house.

But after only a couple of steps, her body stumbled, and she painfully clutched her head.

Ling Feng, sitting on the sofa, paused, thinking this woman was impressive, as she could withstand half the attack power of his Mind Soul Art!

For anyone else, they would already be in severe pain, unable to stand, and wailing on the ground by now!

Because of this, Ling Feng became quite interested in the woman and didn’t hesitate any longer. He immediately stood up, moved forward, and quickly pressed her acupoints.

This made the woman completely unable to move.

Ling Feng hesitated for a moment, looking at her sitting on the ground, and softly said, "Apologies!"

Saying this, he approached, grabbed her wrist, and sent her into the Space Bracelet.

Then Ling Feng stepped out the door, planning to head back to the hotel immediately and inquire about this woman when he reached his room.

Upon exiting, he saw that Jess’s car was still parked by the roadside!

Ling Feng paused and stepped forward to ask, "Why haven’t you left?"

"I thought, sir, when you came out, you’d surely need a ride back, so I’ve been waiting here....." Jess said carefully.

Ling Feng was a bit speechless, but still nodded, "Okay then, thoughtful of you, take me back to the hotel!"

"Alright!"

Jess chuckled, dispelling his tension and feeling full of joy.

Quickly, he drove back to the hotel, and Ling Feng didn’t let him leave, taking Jess straight up the stairs.

Once back in his room, he said to Jess, "You’ve got some usefulness, stick with me for now, and after my business is done, you can leave!"

"No problem, I’m willing to serve you, sir!"

Because of money, Jess was now entirely devoted, treating Ling Feng as his boss.

Ling Feng smiled without saying much more, then took out the woman from the bracelet.

She was still in her sitting position, unable to move, but she could still see.

Time inside the bracelet was frozen; the woman remained in the state from when Ling Feng pressed her acupoints. Suddenly seeing herself in a hotel room, her fearful expression quickly turned into shock.

Ling Feng didn’t rush to unseal her acupoints but instead looked at her and said, "This is my domain; don’t try to escape. Cooperate with my questioning, and I’ll let you go afterward. If you understand, then blink your eyes!"

The woman’s eyes were large, and upon hearing this, she blinked, indicating agreement.

As she wore a mask, Ling Feng couldn’t see her appearance, but he had long passed the phase where he couldn’t move on seeing a beauty, so he didn’t care what she looked like, nor did he remove her mask.

Ling Feng placed her on the sofa and unsealed her acupoints.

The woman regained her freedom of movement and speech, immediately asking, "Who are you?"

"I told you, I’m someone interested in George Gick’s disappearance, like you!"

Ling Feng chuckled, looking into her eyes, "Also, understand your current situation: I’m asking you, not the other way around!"

The woman paused, then nodded, "Alright, ask away!"

"Great!"

Ling Feng smiled and promptly asked, "Who are you, and why are you investigating George’s disappearance?"

The woman’s eyes flashed, "My name is Nina, a private investigator. Investigating this matter is naturally for the reward!"

"Oh, what have you discovered?" Ling Feng asked.

"I’m sorry, I wasn’t the first to arrive; the scene inside the house was severely disrupted. I searched the house for a long time but found no clues; it was as if George disappeared into thin air without leaving anything!" Nina said.

What she described matched what Ling Feng had seen. Despite being mentally prepared, Ling Feng was somewhat disappointed and sighed, then continued asking, "Given this, will you just give up or keep investigating?"

"Not earning money is a mental problem; I’ll definitely keep investigating!" Nina said.

"Oh, from what angle will you continue?" Ling Feng asked.

Nina glanced at him, "First, I’ll find those who have been here and the police who arrived first on the scene; I’ll ask them and gather more clues!"

Pausing, she looked at Ling Feng, "Moreover, I have another avenue of suspicion, but I must know who you are and your purpose before I can tell you!"

"Why? Do you suspect I’m not a good person?" Ling Feng asked with a smile.

"Exactly!"

Nina was straightforward, nodding directly.

"Understandable."

Ling Feng chuckled and continued, "After all, I’m a stranger, and you’ve been captured by me; it’s natural to lack trust!"

Pausing, he continued asking, "Oddly, do you never go online or read the news? As a private investigator, this seems unreasonable!"

"..."

Nina hesitated, her eyes flickering, "What’s unreasonable? Can’t I solve cases without watching the news?"

"Certainly not!"

Ling Feng answered firmly, looking at her, "We are in an era of information; if you don’t go online or watch the news, you’re seriously detached from society, so I have reason to suspect you’re not really a private investigator!"

"Then what am I?"

Nina wasn’t nervous, instead showing a mysterious smile.

Ling Feng squinted, "Any profession similar to a private investigator would involve interaction with the outside. Unless you’re focused solely on a particular field, it’s impossible to ignore external affairs completely!"

Surprise flashed in Nina’s eyes, not expecting Ling Feng’s analysis to be so accurate.

And at this moment, she suddenly felt her hand being grabbed by Ling Feng!

Not having time to react, she heard him ask, "So, who exactly are you?"

Nina’s heart tightened, realizing the situation was dire, but couldn’t control her mind, and George’s face suddenly surfaced in her thoughts!
