Chapter 1709 - 1708: Hijacked
The bubbles kept multiplying and quickly grew larger, eventually turning into a state where water splashed vigorously.
In less than two minutes, a giant hand covered in mud emerged from the water!
"Oh my gosh!"
Just seeing that hand made Ling Feng’s eyes widen instantly!
The hand was enormous, just one hand could cover the surface of a Ba Xian Table.
"What’s going on, what’s going on?"
Catherine couldn’t see clearly beneath the water and asked anxiously.
"There’s something huge underwater, really huge!"
Ling Feng said, his gaze once again fixed on the bottom of the pit.
At this point, the giant hand had already scared the French people, causing them to retreat hastily until they were more than ten meters away before stopping.
Seeing their nervous and panicked expressions, Ling Feng knew they weren’t prepared either, having never expected the creature beneath the water to be so enormous!
The massive hand emerged, followed by an arm, and soon a head the size of a truck’s front end popped out of the water.
Because of the shallow water, the creature was evidently buried in the mud beneath, so after emerging, its face was covered in mud, obscuring its features.
However, from the creature’s outline, Ling Feng saw that it seemed to be a humanoid being.
After their initial panic, the French people regained their composure and pulled out silver ropes, flinging them at the creature!
Although he didn’t know what the ropes were, it was clear they were meant to capture the creature.
As the ropes entangled one of the creature’s arms, it immediately let out a thunderous roar, loud as a thunderclap!
"These ropes are strange!"
Ling Feng remarked, then thought to himself, why hasn’t Tian Lian appeared yet?
The others were clearly trying to capture the creature. If he didn’t act now and let them take it away, there wouldn’t be another opportunity!
But Tian Lian still hadn’t shown up, and as the creature’s arm was entangled, it emitted waves of pained howls, as if electrified, invigorating the French who began to cheer and shout.
Ling Feng could understand their words now; they were encouraging each other to tighten the hold on the creature and make it surrender!
Feeling restless, Ling Feng thought, no matter what, he couldn’t let them succeed!
If Tian Lian was afraid to act, he’d have to act himself!
But before he could spring up, a sudden flash of light appeared in the sky, and then a bright circular object slowly descended, illuminating the entire pit and its surroundings!
Those who had been concentrating on the creature were taken aback, glancing up simultaneously.
Upon seeing the light, they let out cries of pain, as if the white light had injured their eyes.
Ling Feng’s Divine Sense revealed it was Tian Lian’s doing, prompting him to sit back down.
The white light made the surroundings of the pit as bright as day. As the people were bewildered, a booming voice came from the sky, and then a colossal Bronze Cauldron appeared!
As the brilliance flared, everyone around the pit covered their eyes.
Ling Feng watched this scene with a smile.
He knew Tian Lian intended to use his Lifebound Cauldron to absorb the creature!
Indeed, the air condensed into a whirlwind, and the giant creature with only its head and arms exposed felt a powerful suction force!
However, none of the French at the bottom of the pit felt a thing.
So when they heard the creature’s wailing, they had no idea what was occurring.
The suction grew stronger, and the creature’s massive hands flailed wildly in the air, clearly unwilling to be drawn into the cauldron.
Unfortunately, despite its strength, it couldn’t resist the powerful suction, and soon its entire body was pulled out of the mud.
This allowed Ling Feng to see the creature’s full form.
It was a humanoid with fully formed limbs, similar to a human, and as some of the mud cleared from its face, its features, similar to a human’s, became visible.
The only difference was that the creature had an eye on its forehead.
Additionally, all its body parts were extremely large, including certain sensitive areas.
Feeling speechless, Ling Feng couldn’t tell where the creature originated from, thinking it was a pity to simply let Tian Lian absorb and refine it in the cauldron.
Yet, even with that thought, he didn’t stop Tian Lian, but watched as the nearly twenty-meter tall giant humanoid was absorbed alive into the cauldron.
The brilliance vanished, and the intense light in the sky disappeared in an instant, plunging the world back into darkness!
The French at the bottom of the pit still appeared bewildered, unaware of what had transpired.
By the time they realized the monster in the pit had been taken away, Tian Lian had already returned to Ling Feng’s side.
After manifesting, Tian Lian bowed and said, "Master, the task is complete."
"Very good!"
Ling Feng nodded, then asked, "By refining that creature, will your strength increase significantly?"
"I didn’t refine him; I just absorbed him into the cauldron and locked him up!" Tian Lian replied.
"Really? What do you plan to do?" Ling Feng inquired quickly.
"He will be very useful to the master, so I plan to tame him for your future control." Tian Lian said.
Ling Feng chuckled upon hearing this, nodding in satisfaction, "Great, well thought out!"
"Thank you, Master!"
Tian Lian smiled and then transformed into a beam of white light, returning to the Jade Pendant.
Turning to see Catherine, who was staring at him intently, Ling Feng asked with some confusion, "Do I have a flower on my face? Why are you staring at me like that?"
"I’m convinced. Is there nothing in this world that can defeat you?" Catherine mused.
"Who said that? I was stumped last night, didn’t know what to do, remember?" Ling Feng replied with a wry smile.
"Last night was last night, and now is now. Your follower is too formidable; such a huge monster, taken away just like that?" Catherine asked.
"That’s something you don’t know; Tian Lian isn’t an ordinary person!"
Ling Feng smiled, then glanced at the people at the bottom of the pit, sneering, "Those guys are dumbfounded now, all their preparations snatched away. They’re calling Jack Ross right now!"
"What should we do? Should we deal with them now?" Catherine asked.
"No rush, let’s wait until they recover, then I’ll settle the score!"
Ling Feng smiled, putting his arm around her shoulders and standing up, "Let’s go, let’s head home first!"
"Oh, okay."
Catherine didn’t say much more, and the two left directly, quickly exiting the hill area and returning to their car.
They then drove back to the hotel, and upon reaching the room, checked the time to find it was early morning.
Seeing Catherine looking at him with a half-smiling expression, Ling Feng chuckled, "Alright, there’s finally a chance to fulfill your wish; what are we waiting for?"
With that, he opened his arms and lunged forward!
