Ling Feng, who had been lying in Lin Xue’s arms, immediately sat up straight upon hearing this, and said with wide eyes and an open mouth, "They really went all out to kill me, huh!"
"That’s right, this is a special bullet, extremely lethal. It seems it was indeed prepared to kill you in one shot!" Zhou Yi nodded.
Looking at the alloy bullet head in her hand, Ling Feng grew angry.

Zhou Yi inspected the marks on the windshield and estimated the likely trajectory of the shot before getting out of the car.
Ling Feng followed her, "I’ll come with you!"
"Okay."
Zhou Yi didn’t say much. After both of them got out of the car, they headed straight up the nearby slope and then made their way towards the opposite hill.
"When we stopped earlier, did you notice anything unusual on the other side, like the flash of a gun or the reflection from a scope?" Zhou Yi asked as they walked.
"No." Ling Feng indicated his understanding briefly, then shook his head.
"That means the other party was fully prepared. It’s been half an hour now, so they probably have retreated back to their nest!" Zhou Yi said.
"Then why are we still looking for anything?" Ling Feng asked.
Zhou Yi turned to look at him, "After you were shot, Lin Xue immediately teleported with you to leave. We know what happened, but the two shooters must have been stunned. They would then think you two might come after them, so in their rush they’re bound to make a mistake!"
"Could they have left behind any traces of some sort?" Ling Feng asked.
Zhou Yi nodded, "There’s that possibility!"

Zhou Yi didn’t respond but quickly made her way through the underbrush and shrubs between the mountains, soon reaching the opposite mid-hill.
Without an exact location, they had to conduct a carpet search, and the range would be vast.
Luckily, they had some time to spare since the tow truck would also take time to arrive, so there was no need to rush.
After Lin Xue finished making the call, she too climbed the mountain. The three of them split up to search through a large expanse of shrubbery.
About ten minutes later, Zhou Yi suddenly shouted, summoning Ling Feng and Lin Xue to her side!
