Chapter 671: Pool Incident
After hearing An Xue’s words, Ling Feng felt he must have been duped by Yu Nan!
So he turned back and glared at him, only to see Yu Nan waving cheerfully from across the pool, as if to say hello!
Ling Feng was speechless, looking back at An Xue, "Sorry, seems like there’s been a mix-up."
"Oh, I understand now, that man must be your father, right?" An Xue asked meaningfully.
"No, he’s just a friend!" Ling Feng quickly explained.
"Whatever, now that you’re here, I’ll try my best to help you with anything you need. Do you know anything about diving?" An Xue asked.
"Not really, I’ve heard of it but never tried it. To be honest, I’m still a landlubber!" Ling Feng said.
An Xue was taken aback and asked in surprise, "And you want to learn diving?"
"Yes, it’s sort of an emergency, I need to stay underwater for a while, so I’m grasping at straws here!" Ling Feng said with a wry smile.
"I’m afraid I can’t help you with that. First, you can’t swim, which absolutely disqualifies you from getting into the water, even with an oxygen tank. Second, diving probably won’t meet your needs because an oxygen tank can only sustain you underwater for at most twenty minutes. Given the duration you mentioned, I’d suggest it’s best to use an air compressor combined with a supply hose. That would be better."
Ling Feng nodded in understanding, "I get what you’re saying. How about this, Miss An, could you make a list for me, and I’ll buy some equipment to practice at home?"
Upon hearing Ling Feng’s words, An Xue was momentarily stunned, then shook her head, "That won’t do. I can’t help you with that, it’s too dangerous!"
Heart’s in the right place.
Ling Feng thought to himself, resigned, Do I really have to buy a super-long air hose now?
Just as he was feeling helpless, suddenly an argument broke out in the distance, and both he and An Xue turned to look.
They saw Yu Nan struggling with a young man, trying to prevent him from coming over here.
Ling Feng, with a head full of question marks, now realized what was happening. It turned out that there wasn’t actually any issue and Yu Nan had simply concocted a ’li dai tao jiang’ strategy!
"Has this guy been kicked in the head by a donkey?"
Ling Feng shook his head helplessly. He didn’t bother with An Ran and quickly made his way over.
"I’m going to start throwing punches if you don’t let me go!"
That young man, Wang Hao, already had his fists raised, yet Yu Nan was still holding on to him.
"Let him go!"
Ling Feng said sternly as he approached.
"Boss, I think I messed up!" Yu Nan said sheepishly, looking down as he saw Ling Feng’s grim face.
Ling Feng gave him a glare, then turned back to Wang Hao, "Sorry for holding you up!"
Wang Hao sized up Ling Feng, then asked angrily, "Are the two of you sick or something? And who are you? Are you trying to hit on Xiao Xue?"
"No, you’ve got it wrong. I was just inquiring about diving!" Ling Feng explained.
But Wang Hao didn’t believe him at all, sneering, "I’ve seen plenty like you, using learning to dive as a front to chat up girls!"
"What about you then? Aren’t you doing the same thing? And you have the nerve to accuse others?" Yu Nan exclaimed loudly.
"Damn it, I’m not like you guys!"
Wang Hao’s eyes bulged as he shouted, "I just genuinely want to learn diving, and I don’t want Xiao Xue’s decent job to be ruined by you lot!"
His words were full of righteousness, and his expression was so earnest it almost convinced Ling Feng.
At that moment, An Xue also came over and said in a deep voice, "Stop arguing, are we going to have the lesson or not?"
Wang Hao’s face instantly bloomed into a smile, and in an exceedingly gentle voice, he said, "Go, of course I’ll go, I’m coming right now!"
Ling Feng couldn’t help but shiver upon seeing his expression and hearing his voice, and he got goosebumps!
"Pah, bootlicker!"
Watching the two head towards the diving area, Yu Nan muttered under his breath from behind.
Ling Feng turned to look at him, asking rather annoyed, "This is your plan?"
"Boss, I actually wanted to block him and stall for time, but as soon as that guy saw you talking to An Xue, he couldn’t restrain himself and rushed over like life depended on it, and I couldn’t hold him back!" Yu Nan explained.
He did have good intentions, wanting to help Ling Feng; his starting point was right.
So Ling Feng wasn’t too angry, just shook his head, "Don’t be so brainless next time, let’s go!"
"So we’re not learning to dive?" Yu Nan asked.
"Learn my ass, An Xue said I can’t even swim, I’m totally unqualified to learn!"
Ling Feng glanced at him and strode towards the changing room.
Seeing that he was angry, Yu Nan dared not say anything and immediately followed, shrinking his neck.
But just as they reached the door, they heard a bang—the door to the changing room was kicked open from the inside, and five or six muscular young men burst in!
However, they paid no attention to Ling Feng and Yu Nan, glanced around upon entering, and headed straight for An Xue!
Ling Feng noticed their unfriendly demeanor and immediately stopped in his tracks, turning to look back.
He saw that the group was menacing. When they got to the other side of the pool, two of them grabbed An Xue’s arms, trying to drag her away!
"Damn, isn’t this just kidnapping?" Yu Nan stood there stunned, muttering to himself.
Ling Feng was speechless, thinking to himself, have these guys gone mad?
As An Xue was forcibly taken away, her face was a picture of panic as she screamed for help, but Wang Hao and the others in the pool seemed as if they hadn’t heard anything—either standing frozen like statues or diving into the water; not a single person stepped forward!
Ling Feng frowned deeply, thinking that if no one was going to step in, then it was up to him!
So as An Xue was being dragged to the entrance of the changing room, Ling Feng reached out his arm, saying in a deep voice, "Stop right there!"
One of the men, with triangular eyes, retorted coldly, "Kid, don’t go looking for trouble if you don’t want it. Get lost!"
"I’ll get lost, but only if you let go of this lady, then you can leave!" Ling Feng replied with a cold smirk.
"Ha, what a joke, you asking for a beating?"
Triangular Eyes flared up at this, lifting his leg to kick right at Ling Feng’s lower half!
If this kick had connected, Ling Feng would have been done with women for the second half of his life.
Seeing the opponent’s vicious move, Ling Feng’s eyes flashed sharply and he swiftly kicked back!
Triangular Eyes couldn’t react in time, unable to see the move clearly when he was suddenly sent flying into the pool!
The remaining four, seeing this, immediately released An Xue and charged at Ling Feng together!
"All of you, back off!"
Ling Feng was already a bit annoyed; after his shout, without any visible move, all four guys were sent flying backward, splashing into the pool.
Triangular Eyes had just emerged from the water, wiped his face, and was about to make a noise when his sight darkened, and one of his companions knocked him back into the water!
This time, the impact was harsher, and Triangular Eyes rolled his eyes back and passed out!
