Chapter 654: Meeting by the River
Ling Feng was taken aback, then forced a bitter smile, "How could that be?"
Xun Qianqian’s big eyes were full of suspicion as she stepped forward and took Zhou Yi’s hand, "Sister, tell me, did he scold you?"
"No, it’s just that I’m worried about Huaihua’s safety," Zhou Yi said with an awkward smile, slightly embarrassed.
"Then why are you crying?" Xun Qianqian asked, eyes wide.
At that moment, Joanna tugged at her, "You’re so dumb, can you just stop asking?"
"Huh?"
Xun Qianqian was stunned for a moment, then turned to look at her, seemingly still not understanding.
Seeing this, Joanna forcefully made eye signals, blinking repeatedly, and it seemed that something dawned on Xun Qianqian, thus she suddenly said, "Oh, so it’s the two of you who also..."
Everyone was familiar with her lack of restraint in speaking, and Zhou Yi immediately knew what she was going to say next, so she blushed and quickly covered Xun Qianqian’s mouth, "That’s enough, don’t say it!"
The tense atmosphere that had originated from Huaihua’s kidnapping eased a bit at that moment.
Ling Feng felt a wry smile in his heart, thinking that maybe this was better; everyone was too burdened by their own thoughts, which wasn’t good—especially in a fight with the enemy, it would affect their performance!

While they were talking, Wang Laogen, Chu Nan, Lin Huaqiang, and Lu Zihao also came out of the room.
Upon seeing them, Ling Feng was stunned and asked, "Do all of you want to go too?"
"Yeah, everyone’s getting involved. How could we hide behind?" Chu Nan said with a smile.
"That won’t be necessary. It’s enough if I go with everyone else; it’s better for you to stay in the hotel and wait for news!" Ling Feng said resignedly.
Chu Nan gave him a look, "You don’t get to decide that. Old Wang, Hua Qiang, and I want to go, and we’ll go!"

Ling Feng was at a loss for words, his biggest worry being the safety of the two older gentlemen. What if they couldn’t overcome Yu Linglong and got caught in the crossfire?

Chu Nan and Wang Laogen looked disdainful, while Lin Huaqiang and Lu Zihao both smiled as if they hadn’t heard a thing!
The group hustled downstairs and then headed to the parking lot, each climbing into their own vehicle.
Ling Feng led Zhou Yi, Xun Qianqian, and others, leaving first. When they had gone some tens of meters and saw cars still exiting the parking lot, he spoke up in surprise, "Why are there so many cars?"
"Old Wang and Old Chu’s people have all mobilized, Big Brother Lu has brought the people from the Safety Bureau, and Uncle Lin has transferred some folks from Demon Capital over!" Zhou Yi explained, then pursed her lips, "But you don’t know yet, do you? Half of the rooms in this hotel are occupied by our people!"
Ling Feng was speechless.
After a moment of silence, he scratched his head, "These old guys are quite something, aren’t they? Moving all these people here without a peep?"
"You, you’re too centered on yourself. My master and Old Chu, and those other seniors, each one has struggled and fought in the jianghu for so many years, who doesn’t have more experience than you?" Joanna interjected from the back seat, rolling her eyes as she spoke.
"That’s true, haha!"
Ling Feng was a bit embarrassed, scratching his head again.
The car sped along, quickly arriving at the riverside. When Ling Feng stopped the car, the other vehicles also came to a halt one by one. He stepped out only to find that more than twenty cars had arrived!
The riverside was an open park, and although it was late into the night, there were still quite a few people leisurely enjoying themselves. The sudden arrival of so many vehicles immediately drew the attention of the crowd.
Ling Feng watched with a bit of speechlessness; so many cars, adding up to more than a hundred people, were just too conspicuous!
Fortunately, he didn’t have to worry about the arrangements for these people; Lu Zihao and the folks from the Security Bureau had already begun assigning tasks.
Nearly a hundred people swiftly entered the park and quickly vanished into the night. Only then did Lu Zihao come over and say, "You go and negotiate with Yu Linglong. When needed, just give a signal!"
Ling Feng nodded, "I hope there’s no need for everyone, and I can handle it myself!"
"Don’t even think like that, remember not to act impulsively when something happens!" Lu Zihao glared and said in a stern voice.
"All right, I got it!"
Ling Feng smiled and didn’t say anything more, turning to walk onto the riverside road.
Although he promised well, deep down he had already made a decision. He would try not to involve everyone unless necessary, and if he ever reached a point where he couldn’t stop Yu Linglong on his own, the others would be of no use either.
Everyone’s life is valuable; why should they sacrifice themselves for him?
Just as he got onto the road, Ling Feng’s phone rang—it was a call from Yu Linglong!
"Quite timely. Is this woman monitoring me?"
Seeing her number, Ling Feng sneered and picked up, asking, "I’m here, where are you?"
"Fifty meters ahead, there’s a small square. I’m right here," Yu Linglong said in a clear, cold voice, devoid of any emotion.
"Good!"
After uttering a single word, Ling Feng hung up the phone and walked over with Zhou Yi, Xun Qianqian, and the others.
Crossing the green belt, the riverside avenue was just ahead, and from a distance, they could already see a few people on that square.
Ling Feng’s spirit perked up, and he instinctively quickened his pace, but Zhou Yi held him back, "Don’t get excited now. If the other side sees you care too much about Huaihua, it could work against us."

Upon hearing that, Ling Feng immediately slowed down.
Reaching the outskirts of the square, they could now see the people standing there.
There were five in total, one of whom was Huaihua and another was Lu Changsheng.
There were three others; two men in black stood side by side, and the person standing in front of them was a woman in a white gauze dress.
All three wore masks, revealing only their eyes. Seeing this, Ling Feng couldn’t help but sneer, "At this point, is there still a need to hide?"
"It’s just our habit, not because we’re afraid of you!"
Yu Linglong’s frosty voice came through, sounding exceptionally chilling in the night sky.
Ling Feng stepped forward, his gaze lingering on Huaihua’s face. She stood there perfectly fine, her eyes filled only with worry, and her freedom of movement was not restricted; she was not, as he had previously imagined, bound hand and foot.
"Are you okay?" Ling Feng asked.
"I’m fine, brother, don’t..."
"Leave this matter to me," Ling Feng cut off Huaihua’s words. "Just wait quietly, leave it to me!"
After saying that, he turned to Yu Linglong, "Are you guys going public now?"
"We didn’t intend to, but since you found Yu Nan, we’re not left with much choice," Yu Linglong said with a soft chuckle.
