Chapter 556: This is Self Defense
Lin Xue nodded, "No rush, since it’s not needed now. Just focus on improving your realm. Sooner or later, it’ll come in handy!"
"By the time I can use this Divine Light Stone, I guess the God Slayer Saber will have to be put on ice. Why use a knife when you have a ready-made laser cannon?" Ling Feng laughed.
"Don’t say that. If you can make another breakthrough in your realm, maybe it’ll trigger even more powerful features!" Lin Xue said with a curled lip.
Ling Feng thought about it and patted her head, "You’re right, that makes a lot of sense!"
"Hmph, of course!" Lin Xue, pleased by the praise, suddenly showed a face full of pride.
Seeing her like this, Ling Feng laughed, "You really are my brilliant strategist. What would I do without you!"
"Good to know, so you’d better treat me well from now on!"
Lin Xue pouted, muttering her words.
"Haven’t I been good enough to you?"
Ling Feng chuckled, reached out to wrap his arm around her shoulder, and leaned in close to Lin Xue to ask.
Despite having been intimate before, Lin Xue’s face still turned red with shyness, and she quickly struggled a bit as she said, "Hey, you’ve been very good to me, okay?"
Seeing her react like this, Ling Feng knew she must be holding a grudge against him, and recalling that it had been some time since they last had a moment of joy together, he instantly understood what was going on.
So, without saying much, he let go of her shoulder and, taking the opportunity to wrap his arm around her waist, Ling Feng lifted Lin Xue in his arms!
"Ah, what are you doing?"
Lin Xue got startled, her arms tightly wrapped around his neck, her eyes a mix of panic and astonishment.
"I’m taking you to a place!"

Lin Xue already knew what he was up to, felt a helpless joy within her, but still gave him a slanted look, "I knew you were up to no good!"
"What do you mean no good? This is a reward for you, okay!"
Ling Feng laughed with a he-he sound, then whispered in a lower voice, "I’ll make sure you’re begging for mercy later with pleasure!"
Lin Xue’s cheeks instantly turned crimson, and she twisted her body, "You’re so annoying!"
After a moment, the two arrived deep in the Third Layer, stopping on a soft sandy beach.
"You, you want to do it here?"
Lin Xue was dumbfounded, staring at Ling Feng.
"Yeah, the sky as a blanket, the ground as a mat, isn’t it great here?"
While laughing, Ling Feng crouched down and gently placed her on the fine sand.
Lin Xue was speechless, but feeling the stirrings of spring in her heart, she found the setting quite titillating. After a brief internal struggle, she pouted and said, "If it must be here, then fine, but we need to take a bath afterward!"
"Sure, we can take a mandarin duck bath!"
As he spoke, Ling Feng was a bit too eager as he started to unbutton her shirt!
Lin Xue didn’t say a word, her face was a mix of reluctant acceptance.

A long while later, at the entrance of the Third Layer, two figures appeared, sneaking a peek around and, seeing no one, quickly ran towards the Second Layer, diving right in.
After a night passed and dawn arrived, Ling Feng and Lin Xue returned home.
With the passion of the night still visible in the corners of her eyes and brows, Lin Xue looked full of spring charm.
But now that it was time to go to work, she tiptoed for a kiss on Ling Feng’s face and then hurried off.
Ling Feng watched her drive away and then turned to go back to his room.
He figured he had nothing important to do today and should continue exploring the Fourth Layer to see the giant tree and how big those crabs roaming the basin really were. But just then, the phone rang, interrupting his plans.
The call was from Wang Wan’er, and seeing her number, Ling Feng quickly answered, "What’s wrong?"
"Ling Feng, can you come to Shahe Village?" Wang Wan’er asked anxiously.
"No problem, don’t panic, tell me what happened!" Ling Feng quickly said.
"I was just preparing to sow the medicinal plants when some people came to cause trouble, bringing a lot of others, and the villagers have all been injured!" Wang Wan’er said.
As she spoke, cries of some people were mixed in the phone, sounding fierce and malevolent, which made Ling Feng’s brows furrow instantly!
So he immediately said, "Don’t worry, I’m on my way!"
After hanging up the phone, he went out the door and jumped into his Herculean vehicle!
Who has the audacity to do this, utterly lawless!
While rushing to Shahe Village, Ling Feng dialed Lin Xue’s number.
After explaining the situation, Lin Xue said, "I’ll be right there. Don’t panic, and don’t rush into action when you get there, make sure to assess the situation first!"
"I know, I’ll call Director Chen in a bit. The other side has a lot of people, I can handle them myself, but it would be a bit troublesome to drive them all away!" Ling Feng said.
"You don’t need to, I can arrange it. There’s no need to disturb Director Chen!"
"Alright."
Having said that, Ling Feng hung up the phone, stepped on the gas, and sped up.
Soon he arrived at Shahe Village, and before even reaching the entrance, he saw about a dozen cars parked there.
All kinds of models were present, and the price of the cars was not high, all around a hundred thousand or so domestic cars, looking like a makeshift gathering.
Because these cars were blocking the way, Ling Feng couldn’t drive directly into the village, so he had to park and walk into the village.
The shouts reached his ears as he saw a crowd in the square of Shahe Village, mostly villagers from here.
They were all driven out, standing there with looks of bewilderment and helplessness, surrounded by over a dozen burly men armed with clubs, not daring to make a noise.
Seeing this scene, Ling Feng’s brows were nearly twisted together!
What is this situation, an enemy invasion?
He walked up quickly, and a burly man in black saw him and immediately pointed at Ling Feng’s face, "Come here, stand over there!"
"What are you doing?" Ling Feng asked, containing his anger with a stern voice.
"Cut the crap, we’ve already explained. Hurry up, don’t make me act!" the burly man said!
Ling Feng scoffed, "Little master? Who are you a little master to?"
"Kid, looking for death, aren’t you!"
The burly man heard this and immediately raised the baseball bat in his hand!
But before he could swing it down, he saw a blur of shadow and Ling Feng had already vanished.
Then he felt his hand lighten as the baseball bat was snatched away.
Ling Feng stood behind the burly man, weighing the bat in his hand, and said with a cold laugh, "Nice weapon, but sadly, you’re using it on the wrong person!"
He then swung it with a whoosh, directly hitting the burly man’s shin!
"Crack!"
"Ahh!"
The burly man screamed as he fell to the ground, clutching his leg and letting out a pig-slaughter-like wail that echoed throughout the village!
His companions finally reacted and about a dozen people charged at Ling Feng simultaneously.
But he was calm and collected, turning his head to shout to the villagers, "Everyone watch, I snatched this club from their hands, this is called self-defense!"
As soon as the word "defense" was uttered, his figure had already charged into the middle of those dozen or so men. Club shadows flashed, and in moments, wails and howls resonated to the heavens!
