After a while, the room was quiet.

Ling Feng and Li Yun lay in each other’s arms, both with satisfied smiles on their faces.

For Ling Feng, he had finally fulfilled his long-cherished wish, to make her his woman.

And for Li Yun, the emptiness and loneliness of more than a decade were filled, she tasted the joy of being a woman once again, and with the man she had always thought about, her sense of satisfaction was beyond words.

"Now you can finally become my housekeeper legitimately, right?"

Ling Feng held Li Yun’s smooth shoulders and asked in a low voice.

"So you were just in need of a housekeeper, that’s why you treated me this way?" Li Yun curled up in his embrace and asked softly.

"How could that be? It just so happens that you’re quite suitable for it!" Ling Feng laughed and said.

Li Yun did not speak again, but nodded slightly, then hugged him tighter, hoping to enjoy this rare warmth a little longer.

Unfortunately, the shrill ring of a phone interrupted their sweetness.

Seeing it was Wang Laogen calling, Ling Feng immediately answered, "Any news?"

"No, are you done with your things?"

Wang Laogen’s tone had a hint of teasing, and he asked with a chuckle.

There wasn’t much to pack, as Li Yun often commuted to and from Nine Heavens and had two sets of daily necessities, so they just took some clothes with them.

After they teleported back, Ling Feng immediately went home since Chu Nan was still staying at his place.

He quietly entered the house to find the old man actually asleep on the bed, which eased his mind a bit.

Seeing this, Ling Feng decided to start work overnight, after all, the sight of so many giant octopus legs in the Fourth Layer Heaven was hanging over him like a persistent worry!

In the evening, after dinner, Ling Feng said to Chu Nan, "I’ve got some things to take care of tonight, so I won’t be able to keep you company."

Chu Nan smiled, "No problem, I’m fine on my own."

Li Fei’er was overjoyed and immediately teleported to Nine Heavens to report the good news to everyone.

"What did you just call me?" Li Yun looked at Ling Feng, asking softly.

Ling Feng was taken aback and then realized what he said, smilingly replied, "Yun Jie. Is there something you don’t like about me calling you that?"

"No, it’s just the first time I’ve heard you call me that, it feels a bit strange," said Li Yun, her face turning red.

Ling Feng chuckled and said, "I’ll always call you that from now on, you’ll get used to it eventually!"

"I’ve got to go; you said it yourself, you’re treating everyone to shopping. Today we’re going to the provincial city to spend your money!"
