Joanna gave him a glance, "You’ve got quite a few things to sort out, not just the telescope. It’d be best to get a vehicle over here, or do you plan to move all those octopus legs by manpower?"
"That’s true, guess I’ll have to look into it!"
Ling Feng scratched his head; it was indeed troublesome to have so many materials, and taking them out wasn’t going to be easy!
"Since you’ve already latched onto Director Chen, go and chat with him when you get back—you might just get a pleasant surprise!" Joanna reminded.
"What do you mean? Does he have something good over there?" Ling Feng asked.
Joanna blinked, "Why don’t you ask him and find out?"
Ling Feng nodded, "Alright, I was planning to see him anyway!"
In the following time, the group explored the vast land on this side of the cliff, and whenever they encountered those giant octopus legs burrowing out from the ground, Ling Feng left them to Xun Qianqian and her two companions to handle, while he took on the role of providing support.
Initially, due to their lower levels, agility, and weaponry, the three women struggled a bit, but as the number of their kills grew, they gradually became more nimble.
Soon, they developed a tacit understanding in the process of slaying the giant octopus legs and became more efficient, nearly managing without Ling Feng’s help at all!
Seeing their progress made Ling Feng very happy because, at this rate, as long as they didn’t encounter the giant octopus, they would be able to roam this land freely on their own!
Time flew by quickly, and it wasn’t until Ling Feng happened to check the time that he realized a whole night had passed.

But Ling Feng knew that Rome wasn’t built in a day, so he told the three girls, "A night has gone by, you all should rest a bit. Let’s head out for now!"

"As long as it works. Just a reminder though, conserve your ammo. Once it’s out, I can’t get you more," Chen Ping said.
Ling Feng nodded, "No worries, if I run out I’ll just figure something else out. I came today to deliver a sample!"
"Alright, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible."
Chen Ping didn’t look much, he simply took it and placed it on the table.
Noticing Ling Feng was still sitting there, he paused, "Anything else?"
"Actually, there is. I’ve run into some trouble again," Ling Feng said with a sly smile.
"What trouble?"
Chen Ping was puzzled. Looking at him, it seemed like he wanted to scavenge something else from him, causing Chen to immediately become alert.
Ling Feng, with a somewhat sleazy smile, spread his hands, "It’s quite the trouble, I need lots of materials, all listed here."
Saying that, he took out a prepared list and handed it to Chen Ping.
Chen Ping’s mouth twitched slightly. Seeing the closely-packed writing, he was left speechless.
Seeing his expression, Ling Feng hurriedly took out his phone, "Don’t doubt me, boss, I brought some evidence with me. Take a look at this first."
Chen Ping was startled, "What evidence?"
When he saw the photo on his phone, the thick tentacle of the octopus sprawled across the Gobi Desert, his eyes instantly bulged!
"The meat I’ve brought for you is all like this. This one is probably about a thousand pounds, and there are still about thirty or forty of them over there. Along with this one, this giant octopus should weigh around ten thousand pounds in total."

"What about this meat?" Ling Feng asked.
He was more concerned about this than the supplies because he knew that the octopus meat was rich in Spiritual Energy. Consuming it would have excellent nourishing effects, which could help to elevate a Cultivator’s realm, so he was eager to know how much money it could fetch!
Chen Ping smiled, "Also in two days. I’m going to take it for testing right away, and I’ll notify you as soon as the results are out!"

After leaving Longyuan and returning to Shiliu Village, the first thing he saw upon entering his home was Huaihua sitting in the room. Ling Feng was taken aback, "Why are you here, waiting for me?"

Huaihua stood up, smiling at him, then said, "I came to say goodbye to you."

Ling Feng was taken aback again, then he remembered that the New Year was over, and it was time for her to start school.
He smiled and asked, "Have you prepared everything for your tuition and living expenses?"
Huaihua nodded, "It’s all ready. Anna said that when Zhou Yi left, she made her promise, so she gave me twenty thousand yuan for this semester’s expenses."
Ling Feng uttered, "Is that enough? If not, I can give you some more."
"It’s more than enough; I can’t possibly spend all twenty thousand!" Huaihua quickly waved her hand.
"Silly girl, how can you not spend it all? You just don’t know how to spend. When you’re outside, don’t shortchange yourself. You’re clearly a beautiful girl, you need to make yourself look more sophisticated!" Ling Feng chuckled.
Huaihua bit her lip and looked down, "I don’t like being so flashy."
"That’s not being flashy. Dressing up nicely can boost your confidence considerably!"
Seeing Huaihua looking down and not speaking, Ling Feng put an arm around her shoulder, "Also, if you doll yourself up, it reflects well on me, doesn’t it?"
"Really?"
Huaihua lifted her head, looking straight at him, with a serious expression.
Ling Feng paused for a moment before smiling, "Of course, why would I lie to you?"
"But I feel like, Ling Feng, you don’t like me anymore."
Huaihua said with a touch of sadness, fiddling with the hem of her clothes.
"That’s not true, don’t overthink it, how could that be possible!" Ling Feng laughed.
"But you hardly spend any time with me, always busy with this and that..."
Huaihua’s voice was soft and carried a hint of grievance.
