Miao Lanlan gave Ling Feng a blank look, ignoring his remark and stepped forward to see what he was eating. "Is this all you’re eating?"

"Ah, too lazy to cook, so I just made do," Ling Feng laughed.

"Why isn’t anyone else here?" Miao Lanlan asked.

Ling Feng shook his head. "I have no idea, I’ve just come back from outside. Maybe everyone’s at Nine Heavens?"

"Oh."

Miao Lanlan nodded and sat down, watching him. "Then go ahead and eat."

Ling Feng gave a wry smile. "You’ve come, and now I have no appetite to eat. Why did you suddenly come over?"

"Nothing special, the project ended, and it was boring staying at home, so I came over for fun," Miao Lanlan shrugged.

"Just you? What about Ruoruo?" Ling Feng asked.

His casual remark, however, touched a nerve with Miao Lanlan. "You only have my sister in your heart, don’t you? You can’t even talk to me without asking about her first!"

"Er... my bad."

Ling Feng knew this girl was holding back fury, so he quickly apologized.

"Hmph!"

Miao Lanlan’s face was full of annoyance. She crossed her arms, turned away, and presented her back to Ling Feng.

Seeing her like this, Ling Feng was at a loss and could only shamelessly wrap his arms around her shoulders, leaning in with a cheeky smile and saying, "Just a casual question, why are you jealous of Ruoruo?"

"Don’t touch me!"

Though Miao Lanlan said "Don’t touch me" with her mouth, her body didn’t move.

So, he went for broke and embraced the person in front of him, lifting her up entirely.

Miao Lanlan was startled and asked in a soft voice.

Ling Feng chuckled and carried her straight to the inner room. With a kick, the door shut behind them.

After setting her down on the bed, he had Miao Lanlan sit on his lap and stared straight at her, asking, "I thought of a way for you to cool down, wanna try it?"

At this point, Miao Lanlan knew exactly what he was thinking. Her face turned red immediately, and she quickly struggled, "Let me go, stop it!"

"I’m not kidding around. I remember you agreed to be my girlfriend, and you’ve been dragging it out. Isn’t it time to fulfill your duties?" Ling Feng asked with a cheeky grin.

Miao Lanlan was taken aback, then shook her head, "No way!"

"Hehe."

Ling Feng didn’t believe her and simply leaned in to kiss her small mouth.

"Mmm..."

Miao Lanlan was caught off guard. Her cry of surprise was muffled, but her body struggled intensely.

Taken by the moment, Ling Feng simply went with the flow, tipping over and pressing her onto the bed.

Now Miao Lanlan was panicking and desperately shook her head, freeing her lips. She then gasped for air and said, "I’ll get mad if you keep this up!"

"For real? You don’t want to?" Ling Feng asked.

"Don’t want to, not now at least!" Miao Lanlan’s eyes shone as she looked at him.

Ling Feng was puzzled. "Why not?"

"The time and place aren’t right, and I’m not ready!" Miao Lanlan said.

"Er..."

Ling Feng was speechless.

Seeing his beloved looking helpless, Miao Lanlan’s heart softened, so she asked, "I’m going through this for the first time, do you really want to be so casual about it?"

"So that’s it!" Ling Feng realized.

Ling Feng suddenly realized and then reached out to pinch her nose, "Who knew, you actually care quite a bit about ceremonial stuff?"

"Of course, since you can’t touch me now anyway!" Miao Lanlan pouted as she spoke.

"What if I forcefully do that thing?" Ling Feng raised an eyebrow, asking with a smirk.

Miao Lanlan looked at him seriously, "I definitely wouldn’t be able to resist, but it would surely leave a shadow in my heart, so you decide what to do!"

"This..."

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng suddenly dared not make a move and could only chuckle, "Alright then, I don’t have the heart to force you!"

After saying that, he got up and ushered Miao Lanlan out.

Miao Lanlan quickly sat up, straightened her clothes and hair, and glared at him, "I came to you, and you want to sleep with me, shameless!"

Li Fei’er’s face was all smiles, and as she was dragged out, she continued to cry out like a drama queen.

Ling Feng was also helpless, chuckling bitterly as he shook his head and followed them out the door.

After the two girls laughed and played for a while, Li Fei’er seemed to remember something, "Uncle, why did you come back alone, where’s Qian Qian?"

"Can you take me with you when you go back?" Li Fei’er asked.

Ling Feng and Miao Lanlan were both surprised, asking simultaneously, "You’re going home?"

"Yeah, I’ve been out for quite a while, and with the New Year approaching, I should go home to visit, right?" Li Fei’er nodded.

Hearing this, Ling Feng felt an inexplicable sense of loss wash over him.

He had grown accustomed to having this girl in his house, so the sudden news of her departure soured his mood significantly.

Miao Lanlan, on the other hand, hadn’t thought that much, and nodded, "Sure, when I decide to leave, I’ll definitely take you with me!"

"Well, that saves a certain someone the trouble of having to take me there himself!" Li Fei’er glanced at Ling Feng.

Ling Feng chuckled bitterly and looked at her, "If you leave, does that mean you won’t come back?"
