But what he didn’t expect was, after hanging up the phone, Huaihua turned to him and said, "Brother, my mom is inviting you to join us for dinner as well."

Huaihua bit her lip and didn’t speak, while Zhou Yi then said with a smile, "Probably because you’re a notable figure in the village, and to show great respect, she’s inviting you to accompany us, right?"
"What notable figure am I!"
Ling Feng shook his head with a wry smile and said to Huaihua, "Tell Aunt Guihua that I’m a bit tied up with things at the moment and can’t get away, so I won’t be coming for dinner!"

"Alright then, we won’t bother you any longer. See you tomorrow!"
Zhou Yi smiled and, taking Huaihua by the hand, they walked toward the village.
As he watched the two women’s figures disappear, Ling Feng fell into thought before taking out his phone.
He was now unable to make the call on his own, and more importantly, even if he could decide, Ling Feng didn’t know how to handle it!
So he had to seek help over the phone.
After the call connected, the crisp voice of Lin Xue came through: "Have you returned?"
"Yeah, did you get off work late? Are you coming over tonight?" Ling Feng asked.

Ling Feng made an acknowledging noise and then said, "I have something to tell you, Zhou Yi is here!"
"What? She’s shown up again?" Lin Xue immediately perked up!
Ling Feng had told her about Zhou Yi before he went to the provincial city. As for what happened afterwards in the provincial city, she still didn’t know.
"It’s not just appearing, but doing so quite brazenly. I don’t even know what to do!"
Ling Feng gave a wry smile and told her all about the situation.
After listening, Lin Xue pondered for a moment, "Understood, I’ll head over right away!"
