Chapter 363 Qi Force Master
The atmosphere in the meeting room suddenly dropped to freezing point!
Five tall, white men, all between 1.8 and 1.9 meters in height, now wore grim expressions on their faces, and it was clear to Li Yun and the others that there was something amiss with them.
If they had nothing to hide, they should have been eager to defend themselves against Ling Feng’s accusations. Instead, they seemed to tacitly accept the charges.
"You guys, go check if the confidential files are missing or if there are any signs of tampering. It’s not too late yet,"
Ling Feng said sternly, his gaze fixed on the five men.
The staff of Guoxin Company looked at each other, wanting to move but not daring to, seemingly afraid that as soon as they stood up, their lives would be in danger.
Just then, a commotion erupted outside, followed by a dozen or so uniformed security guards rushing in!
And in that moment of chaos, those five men made their move!
All of them targeted Ling Feng, attacking him from different positions simultaneously.
The incident happened so suddenly that everybody there was stunned for a moment, only to hear a few muffled sounds — the first round was over!
Ling Feng staggered three steps back, while the five men opposite him hadn’t moved from their spots!
"Not bad teamwork!"
Ling Feng chuckled, having just defended against their attack with his own strength. He now felt confident.
To onlookers, it might have seemed like he was at a disadvantage, but he knew very well that he hadn’t even struck out in the last exchange, merely defending against their attacks!
The highest amongst the five was only at the early stage of Hua Energy, and the remaining four were merely at the peak of Dark Energy — they were not even worth mentioning to Ling Feng!
After a cold laugh, his hand flashed with a chilling light as a fierce saber slash shot out, stabbing straight towards the Hua Energy expert!
The pupils of the five men tightened as they quickly retreated two steps.
They didn’t bring any weapons with them this time since they were disguised as businessmen here to talk deals — what kind of businessperson carries weapons on them?
Now, seeing the Short Dagger in Ling Feng’s hand, they immediately regretted it.
Finally, the one named White spoke up, asking in fluent, standard Mandarin, "Sir, why must you make things difficult for us?"
"Because my duty doesn’t allow scum like you to steal our country’s technology!" Ling Feng said coldly.
"Who are you?" White asked, squinting his eyes.
"Me? You’re not worthy of knowing!"
Ling Feng smirked, the blade’s light flickered again, and this time there was no hesitation — he started to kill!
In an instant, the meeting room flashed with the light of the blade, and screams echoed, causing some people’s legs to go weak, nearly causing them to fall to the ground.
President Zhang, who had seen a bit of the world, quietly moved to the door, pulled over a security guard, and whispered, "Send someone to the vault immediately, check if anything has happened to the files!"
"Yes!"
The security guard nodded, although reluctant to miss the exciting fight inside, he knew his duty and ran out.
Zhang wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and turned to ask Li Yun in a low voice, "President Li, what’s going on here?"
"I’m not sure either."
Li Yun had now recovered from her initial shock and her gaze was entirely focused on Ling Feng. Her large eyes sparkled with curiosity, clearly deep in thought.
The battle had entered a feverish phase, and with the sharpness of the God Slayer Short Dagger in his hand, Ling Feng had devastated White and the other four, leaving every one of them wounded.
However, their fighting spirit was still blazing fiercely. Despite their injuries, they were gritting their teeth and holding on, as if they would never stop until they had taken down Ling Feng.
Seeing that their onslaught was weakening, Ling Feng laughed while wielding his saber, "Why continue to struggle? Just hand yourselves over peacefully. Getting locked up is always better than dying, isn’t it?"
"Shut up!"
White’s eyes were bloodshot, his look was that of a cornered beast, fierce and desperate.
"Wanting to die can be an easy wish to fulfill, I can grant that for you all!"
Ling Feng had no interest in further entanglement and was ready to deal a fierce blow with a frown on his face!
However, at that moment, a thunderous shout suddenly sounded in the conference room, "Stop!"
The voice was so loud that it cracked the glass cups on the table, and the people at the door hastily covered their ears, showing pained expressions.
Ling Feng was stunned and turned to look, only to see Kong Sheng, who had been lying on the ground like a dead dog just moments before, was now standing up!
Not only that, his complexion had returned to normal and his eyes were flashing brightly; he looked as if nothing had happened!
"Eh?"
Ling Feng let out an exclamation of surprise, realizing that this was someone pretending to be a pig to eat tigers. Had the feeble state just now been an act?
"Boy, if you want to kill me, you should first ask if I agree or not!"
Kong Sheng stared into Ling Feng’s eyes, emitting a strong aura as he slowly approached!
Ling Feng also watched him, asking coldly, "So you’re the real leader. I thought you were just a lackey. You’ve concealed yourself quite well!"
Kong Sheng directly ignored his mockery and asked coldly, "Given the situation, we are in a life-or-death struggle, right?"
"Not necessarily, just hand over the documents you stole, and then surrender. You won’t have to die," Ling Feng said with a smile.
"Hmm, nice calculation, but we’re leaving, and you can’t keep us!"
Kong Sheng chuckled, but before he had even moved, Ling Feng felt a tightness in his throat!
Luckily, his reaction was fast enough and before the other could exert force, the God Slayer Saber slashed toward Kong Sheng’s elbow!
The opponent immediately released his grip; otherwise, his arm would have been ruined.
Astonishment flickered in Ling Feng’s heart at the speed of his opponent. Could this person already be at the Qi Strength Realm?
If he hadn’t reacted in time just now, his throat would have already been crushed, and by now he’d probably be lying on the ground, quickly suffocating to death!
Considering this, a shudder ran down Ling Feng’s spine, and his gaze toward Kong Sheng changed.
"Now you realize? A mere Hua Energy person trying to act wild in front of me at the Qi Strength Realm is simply overestimating yourself!" Kong Sheng said with a smug laugh.
Ling Feng’s pupils constricted; aside from Lin Huaqiang, this was the second Qi Strength expert he had encountered, and this was their first exchange. Only now did he recognize his opponent’s strength.
However, Ling Feng was not one to back down, so after a chuckle, he looked at Kong Sheng’s smug face and said, "Qi Strength, huh? I thought we were graced by a Daluo Golden Immortal descending upon us. Is that something to be proud of?"
As he spoke, he gripped the Short Dagger tighter in his hand, looking for Kong Sheng’s weak spots.
Unfortunately, even though the man was just standing there, there wasn’t a single vulnerability to be found on him; whatever Ling Feng attacked, the other could neutralize it in an instant!
"Stop deluding yourself; you’re no match for me. If I didn’t want to escalate things too much, I could crush you right now, do you understand?" Kong Sheng noticed Ling Feng’s gaze and arrogantly sneered.
