Beast Taming: I Have an Immortal Mansion

Chapter 526 371: Great Chiliocosm Inverting Wind

Fang Qingyuan slowly rose. Having meditated for three days, his body was now surging with a massive amount of Magical True Essence. He had just achieved a breakthrough and hadn't yet had time to polish and perfect his control, causing his aura to leak out, making him seem quite conspicuous.

A Tier Five Spirit Land was truly a sacred ground for cultivation, coveted by countless Cultivators in the world. After staying for only three days, he had broken through the bottleneck that had held him back for so long. However, Fang Qingyuan couldn't be bothered to check the changes inside his Immortal Mansion right now. He stared at the approaching figure, his guard raised high.

The newcomer was covered in injuries. Blood dripped from his abdomen, where one could vaguely see exposed organs. Fleshy tendrils were rapidly regenerating at the gaping wound, but every time they were about to close, they were shattered by a writhing, golden-yellow aura clinging to his stomach.

'What in the world is going on?'

'Of course, something always has to go wrong during a Trial. It's an undeniable truth.'

The man appeared to be a Golden Core Loose Cultivator from the Outer Sea, perhaps even the Island Master of a great island. He had a dignified air about him, but now he was here, gravely injured, and Fang Qingyuan had no idea what had befallen him.

Fang Qingyuan was not in the habit of playing the good Samaritan for this injured fellow Golden Core Cultivator. Especially not here in the Land of Trial. Anything that happened should be handled by the Cultivators from Jixia City; it wasn't his place as an outsider to interfere.

Thus, Fang Qingyuan watched the Golden Core Cultivator from the Outer Sea cautiously, circulating Magical Power through his body. Seeing the man continue to approach, Fang Qingyuan spoke out sharply to warn him:

"Fellow Daoist, you can't come any closer. This is my cultivation ground. Please, stop where you are."

Hearing Fang Qingyuan's warning, the Golden Core Cultivator's expression seemed to regain a sliver of clarity. He looked as if he had suffered a tremendous shock. His hollow eyes gazed at Fang Qingyuan as a rattling sound came from his throat, as though he was trying to say something.

Fang Qingyuan's expression shifted. 'Why does this feel so wrong?'

Fang Qingyuan immediately began to back away. He decided to leave this place and just let the man have it.

But before Fang Qingyuan could leave, a bizarre change overcame the Golden Core Cultivator from the Outer Sea. His expression was dazed and lost. A halo of light suddenly manifested above his head, and within its multicolored glow, a scene began to materialize.

Fang Qingyuan didn't dare turn his back on the man and was already backing away, so the entire scene unfolded before his eyes.

The vision showed the man just as he entered the Land of Trial. Everything was normal at first, but after someone passed the first three stages, he was caught in a series of endless teleportations, flung to some unknown location.

In the scene manifesting above the man's head, time flowed at an astonishing rate; a single breath spanned an entire day. Despite the rapid changes, Fang Qingyuan could see everything clearly. Unconsciously, his retreat began to slow.

Three breaths in reality equaled three days in the illusion. When the man awoke, he saw a woman standing before a great Bronze Dragon Pillar. She was staring up at the carved dragon coiled around it, lost in her own world.

Seeing this, the Outer Sea Cultivator thought someone had beaten him to the punch and discovered the Trial Treasure. Greed took hold, and he decided to seize it. But in a flash, the scene changed, and the Outer Sea Cultivator was already on the ground.

The last thing he saw was the woman's blood-drenched hand, which seemed to be clutching a perfectly round Golden Core. 'And that Golden Core,' he thought, 'why does it look so much like mine?'

Fang Qingyuan's attention was completely captivated by the woman in the scene. Looking at her back, he felt a nagging sense of familiarity, as if he had seen her somewhere before.

Just then, the entire Land of Trial shook violently, as if the very earth and mountains were quaking. Even with Fang Qingyuan's abilities, he stumbled and nearly fell.

According to Fang Qingyuan's senses, this wasn't a simple tremor. Rather, the very space around him had pulsed in that instant. For a moment, Fang Qingyuan almost thought the heavens themselves were collapsing.

After this spatial tremor, the Outer Sea Golden Core Cultivator before Fang Qingyuan let out an abrupt roar. In the next instant, Fang Qingyuan's eyes went wide.

Because at that moment, the woman in the vision, the one holding the Golden Core, was slowly turning around. She shifted her gaze, and a cold glint in her eyes seemed to pierce through space itself, sweeping across Fang Qingyuan's face.

A bone-chilling cold.

The next moment, all the flowing scenes in the illusion suddenly froze. Only she moved, taking a step forward, walking slowly away from the Bronze Dragon Pillar.

The Outer Sea Golden Core Cultivator let out a bloodcurdling shriek. All the qi and blood in his body were drained in an instant, sucking him dry. He shriveled into a desiccated corpse, which then crumbled to ash and scattered on the ground, leaving not a single trace behind.

And at that exact moment, the woman stepped out of the illusion and into reality. Her feet landed on the fine sand, making a soft crunching sound.

"Tu Dai'Er!?"

Fang Qingyuan whispered, his voice audibly hoarse. He could only manage to utter her name; he didn't dare say another word.

Everything happening before his eyes was beyond Fang Qingyuan's comprehension. This was not a feat that could be accomplished by someone at the Golden Core Realm, or even the Nascent Soul Realm. Only a cultivator at the level of Divinity Transformation could wield such a bizarre and terrifying Divine Technique.

Fang Qingyuan wisely kept his mouth shut. After Tu Dai'Er stepped out of the illusion, the Golden Core in her hand was still dripping blood. The drops fell onto the clean white sand, creating a shockingly stark contrast.

Tu Dai'Er flashed a playful smile at Fang Qingyuan and said:
