Yu Xuan alighted from a car at the entrance of the Jinyuan complex, pulling her suitcase.

Standing at the entrance, she could tell it was a high-end residential complex before she even went inside; the large, single-floor apartment layouts were visible at a glance.

’Could Mr. Xu not be home?’

Li Jinshu had heard the noise next door and thought Xu Yun had returned. But when she opened her door, she saw not Xu Yun, but a woman with a suitcase.

Seeing the woman looking at her, Li Jinshu asked, "Are you looking for Xu Yun?"

"Yes."

Yu Xuan answered with a smile, "But it seems Mr. Xu isn’t home."

"I see you have a suitcase. You’re not from around here?"

"No, I’m from the Shanghai Stock Exchange."

Yu Xuan said, "Since he’s not here, I’ll be on my way."

As someone accustomed to hotel management, Yu Xuan was very patient with strangers. Besides, anyone who could afford to live here was wealthy, and this woman was Xu Yun’s neighbor.

She extended an invitation, "Why don’t you come inside and wait? He might be back soon."

Li Jinshu added with a smile, "Besides, it’s not safe for a woman from out of town to be wandering around this late at night."

"Thank you. I’m sorry for the trouble." Yu Xuan hesitated for a moment, then pulled her suitcase and followed the other woman inside.

After leaving her suitcase in the entryway, Yu Xuan entered the living room and saw another woman.

’She’s very beautiful, too.’

Su Mu looked at Yu Xuan, surprised. ’Didn’t she go looking for Xu Yun?’

’Why did she bring back another woman?’

She asked, puzzled, "Jinshu, who is this?"

"Susu, she came from the Shanghai Stock Exchange looking for Xu Yun. He wasn’t home, so I invited her in."

Su Mu was speechless.

Li Jinshu turned to Yu Xuan. "Oh, right, I haven’t asked your name yet."

"My name is Yu Xuan."

"I’m Li Jinshu."

Li Jinshu pointed to Su Mu. "And this is Su Mu. We’re Xu Yun’s neighbors and good friends."

"It’s nice to meet you both."

Yu Xuan said politely, "I’m sorry to bother you so late. I’ll leave as soon as Mr. Xu gets back."

"Don’t worry about it. Any friend of Xu Yun’s is a friend of ours."

Su Mu gestured for her to sit. "Please, have a seat. Don’t just stand there."

"Alright, thank you."

After getting her a glass of water, Li Jinshu sat nearby and asked curiously, "So, what’s your relationship with Xu Yun? Why are you looking for him?"

"I’m the private butler Mr. Xu hired," Yu Xuan answered honestly.

"A private butler?"

Su Mu recalled something Chen Xin had said and immediately put two and two together. "Wait, you’re not the hotel butler who was with Xu Yun the whole time when he visited the Shanghai Stock Exchange, are you?"

"Yes, that was me."

Assuming Xu Yun had told them about her, Yu Xuan explained, "But I’ve since resigned from that position to become his private butler."

Li Jinshu was speechless.

So was Su Mu.

’Wow, he’s got a private butler now?’

’And a beautiful one at that!’

"I’m just a little curious."

Li Jinshu asked, "What exactly does a private butler’s job entail?"

"I do anything and everything my employer requires."

Li Jinshu was speechless.

’She desperately wanted to ask if that included sleeping with Xu Yun if he asked.’

’But she couldn’t bring herself to ask the question out loud.’

Su Mu, meanwhile, asked, "Did you not call Xu Yun to let him know you were coming?"

"I texted him before I got on the plane, but he hasn’t replied yet."

"He probably doesn’t have time to reply right now."

Li Jinshu said sullenly, "He’s out ’busy having fun.’ He probably won’t even come home tonight."

"That’s alright."

Yu Xuan smiled. "I can just find a hotel nearby for now. Mr. Xu will contact me when he sees my message."

"I’ll call him for you."

"Please, don’t."

Yu Xuan stopped her. "If Mr. Xu is busy with something important, we’d be disturbing him. That wouldn’t be good."

Li Jinshu was speechless.

’She really is a private butler, through and through. She hasn’t even officially started, and she’s already so considerate of him.’

’But I want to be the one to disturb his fun!’

She had already annoyed Xu Yun last time over the incident with Chen Xin, so she was feeling a bit hesitant now. Her gaze shifted to Su Mu.

’Su Mu is his equal. It should be fine if she calls, right?’

So she goaded her, "Susu, you call him. You were his boss, after all. He probably won’t get mad at you."

"So you’re afraid of making him mad and want me to do it instead, is that it?"

Su Mu chuckled, but picked up her phone and made the call anyway.

In truth, though she didn’t say it, she didn’t want Xu Yun staying out all night either.

Now she had the perfect excuse.
