Chapter 154 - 111: Xu Yun, No One’s Home Tonight, Are You Coming?
Swimming is a physically demanding activity.
Learning to swim is even more so, and that’s not even counting having to endure Sun Yi’s advances.
After finishing his training on breath control and posture, Xu Yun changed his clothes and went to the front desk.
As promised, he sent Sun Yi a 10,000 bonus via WeChat, activated a monthly pass for the private pool, and purchased 30 of her lessons.
’Why not 100 lessons?’
’Taking that long just to learn to swim? That would make me a total loser!’
Xu Yun was only learning to swim for two reasons. First, it would be embarrassing if he eventually bought a villa with a pool but couldn’t swim at his own pool parties. And second, it would be just as awkward if he bought a yacht but couldn’t swim while out on the ocean.
Besides, knowing how to swim would give him the chance to unlock some new positions in the water.
With no more financial pressure, all Xu Yun thought about now was how to use his money to enjoy the kind of life he’d never even dared to dream of before.
Since it was still early, he decided not to look for Zhang Jiaxin in the weight room. Instead, he went to the lounge on the fourth floor, had some fruit, and lay down to rest.
He idly scrolled through his phone, watching some Douyin videos.
Once he started, he couldn’t stop. He got completely hooked on shipping Hua Xiaolong and Teacher Wang.
’It’s pretty addicting!’
’I have to admit, watching other people fall in love is pretty fun.’
"So you like shipping couples too, Brother Xu."
Zhang Jiaxin had appeared by his side at some point. Looking at the video on his phone, she smiled. "I’ve been shipping them recently too. They’re so sweet together."
"Nah, I’m just browsing."
Xu Yun put his phone away and asked, "It’s already lunchtime. Are you heading off to eat?"
"You haven’t eaten either, have you?"
"I had a late breakfast, so I’m not hungry."
"That won’t do. If you don’t eat anything for lunch, how are you going to train with me this afternoon?"
Zhang Jiaxin produced a delicate-looking bento box from behind her back. "Brother Xu, I made this myself and brought it from home."
"You bring your own lunch from home?"
"Mhm."
Zhang Jiaxin explained, "We’re different from you, Brother Xu. You have everything, so you can just focus on enjoying life.
We’re out here trying to make a living. After paying for food, clothes, and rent, we still have to save up to buy a house.
If we ate takeout every day, that would be a huge expense, and we wouldn’t have much money left over."
"It’s true. Life is hard for everyone." Zhang Jiaxin’s words reminded Xu Yun of his own past.
"You must be joking, Brother Xu. Your life is nothing like ours."
Zhang Jiaxin said, "I packed a little too much today and I won’t be able to finish it. If you don’t mind, would you like to share?"
"I don’t mind," Xu Yun smiled. "I’m just worried there won’t be enough for you."
"I don’t eat very much."
Seeing that Xu Yun had agreed, Zhang Jiaxin immediately started setting things up on a nearby table, dividing the lunch into two portions.
One large and one small.
She gave the larger one to Xu Yun and kept the smaller one for herself.
Seeing this, Xu Yun said, "Is that tiny portion really enough for you? I’m not that hungry. Let’s trade."
"No, it’s fine. I want to save room and just eat a little for lunch."
Zhang Jiaxin smiled. "That way, when you treat me to something delicious tonight, Brother Xu, I’ll be able to eat more."
"Alright, then. Tell me what you want to eat tonight, and it’s yours."
"I heard from Sun Yi earlier that you invited her out for Bobo Chicken."
Zhang Jiaxin said, "How about you treat me to some chicken tonight, too? It’s been so long since I’ve had any."
"Er..."
The corner of Xu Yun’s mouth twitched. He replied, "Okay, fine. I know a place with great Shaoji Gong. I’ll take you there tonight."
"Thank you, Brother Xu."
Sun Yi arrived on the fourth floor, carrying takeout she had specially ordered, intending to have lunch with Xu Yun.
But she was a step too late. Zhang Jiaxin had beaten her to the punch.
The two were already eating, chatting and laughing together.
She didn’t seem to mind in the slightest, however. She walked over and smiled at Xu Yun. "Brother Xu, what a coincidence! You’re eating here too? I just ordered some takeout, why don’t we all eat together?"
"Sure," Xu Yun said. "The more the merrier."
Zhang Jiaxin was internally against the idea, but since Xu Yun had already agreed, there wasn’t much she could say.
Especially when Sun Yi deliberately sat across from her, cozying up right next to Xu Yun.
And so, their little get-together for two became a party of three.
Sun Yi was particularly forward, stopping just short of feeding Xu Yun by hand.
Naturally, Zhang Jiaxin wasn’t about to be outdone.
Watching the two women get jealous and compete over him felt pretty good to Xu Yun.
A thought suddenly popped into his head.
’If they competed like this in bed, too...’
’So depraved! Xu Yun, how could you have such a wicked thought!’
’Then again, as long as they’re willing, it’s not like it’s illegal, is it?’
’Xu Yun couldn’t help but wonder... if he could just Do as You Please and unlock this achievement, how much money would the system reward him?’
’I’m so looking forward to it!’
’It’ll be difficult, though. Not easy to pull off.’
The sight of one man being doted on by two women made the other customers in the lounge so envious they could have cried.
’We’re all members here, so why are his female trainers so amazing? I can’t even get mine to hold my hand.’
’All she ever talks about is getting me to buy more lessons.’
After lunch, Sun Yi stared at Zhang Jiaxin, who stared right back at her. Neither wanted to be the first to leave.
It wasn’t until Xu Yun said he needed to rest and take an afternoon nap that the two of them finally left together.
After the two women left, a guy sidled up to Xu Yun, wanting to learn his secrets.
"Bro, how’d you pull that off?"
Xu Yun asked, confused, "What?"
"Come on, bro. We’re all men here. Stop playing dumb."
The man laughed. "We all come here to hit on the female trainers, don’t we? You’re not seriously here to work out, are you?"
