Chapter 94 - 93:Rematch?
"I’m curious about one thing though" I said, voice calm as I tried to put my clothes back on under the hungry wolffish stare of Cara who was still lying on the bed, naked, unhurried....
"Mmhmm~~~" she slurred..
I shook my head helplessly, not minding her antics..
"Just what would you have done if I’d decided to let things go and moved on?" After hearing all she said about not wanting to put me in harm’s way by sacrificing herself, the curiosity of what she actually had in mind moving forward began eating at me.
Because I knew Cara and she wasn’t the type to truly let go of her dignity, not like this..
"Hmmm? Well the original plan was to get into Aeternum and seek myself a powerful master, that way nobody would be able to force me into doing anything." Was her answer.
And it made sense in a way, after all, who would want to actively upset a behemoth like Aeternum just for a beauty? Even if that beauty was indeed worth it, or maybe that’s just my own infatuation speaking..
"I see.. so that’s why you readily accepted their offer huh? Used their resources to get strong, enough to make sure you got into Aeternum, smart" I couldn’t help complimenting her move.
Use your enemies’ resources and then stab them fully in the back when they least expect it..
"That’s my girl" I couldn’t help thinking fondly..
"But, what would’ve happened if your plans didn’t come to fruition?" I asked once again, intent on understanding just what thoughts went through that mind of hers..
The reply I got was less than pleasing..
"Oh that? Well if things didn’t go according to plan, I was planing on just exploding my core and being done with it, I’d rather die than have anyone tarnish this body of yours.."
the way she said that so casually made me freeze, I turned, attention fully focused on her..
"Come again?" I was seriously doubting my ears right now..
"Why are you acting surprised? You should know me enough to know I wouldn’t let anyone else dare sully my body" she waved me off dismissively.
(A/N: first Melissa, then Raven, now Cara... bro is just packing all the good ones... I’m not pained, I swear...)

And the worst part? She was right..
I did know her and I knew her enough to know that she truly would do something that drastic...
"Damn... you’re insane" I couldn’t help muttering in subdued shock..
"I love you too.." she blew me a kiss and winked...
I shook my head whilst smiling wryly...
"Where are you going now?" She asked as I finally slipped on these deceptively hard to put on pants aunt V got me..
"I have some unfinished business to attend to now that we’ve cleared the air.."
"So, do I want to know about this unfinished business?"
"I’m not sure, do you?"
"Naw, I’ll pass" she laid back down, eyes half lidded..
I chuckled..
"You seem quite unbothered about this phase, makes me wonder just how strong you truly are.." I couldn’t help asking, for though I knew she was strong, I couldn’t tell by how much..
Our little fight didn’t count since I was an unfair match up..
"Don’t worry, you’ll see soon enough"
"Alright then.." I wasn’t about to start arguing..
Shelving the thought aside, I refocused on What was truly important right now, my unfinished business...
Setting my thoughts aside, i willed my talent again, my perception bleeding into the entirety of the secret realm, the familiar drain of Chaosenergy
hitting me, luckily for me, the last spat with those old men gave me a way to replenish my energy mid combat.. The secret realm unfolded before my perception, I could see everything that was visible..
The candidates had made progress, I could sense over 200 auras currently present within the central area with two shining so brightly and dense I could feel the heat they radiated without being intentional...
If not for my current engagement, I would’ve placed my focus on the central region just to see what was happening, but before I could digress, a familiar aura brushed against my senses...
"Hehe.. found you.." saying so, I briefly looked at Cara, "I’ll be going then, meet you at the central region" she waved me away, curling into the blanket...
I sighed and then... Gone...

"Damn.. these things just won’t die.." Micheal grunted as he unleashed another blast of condensed flames at the creatures surrounding him..
They were treelike monsters that attacked with an endless number of vines..
They were merely B rank mobs, but their numbers made them an insistent nuisance..
"Damn, Solar flare.." a condensed wave of Stellar flames exploded from his being as he turned the entire surrounding forest into ashes...
"Finally..." he breathed softly..
"Man, if I didn’t know better, I’d have thought you were actually that good" Micheal froze the moment he heard that disdainful and arrogant voice..
He turned around, his golden eyes locking firmly onto Dante’s figure floating nonchalantly within the sky..
"Dante..." he hissed..
"Yo.."

Micheal Solaris, that was my target..
This minor third rate villain that had lasted way longer than he was ever needed.
This secret realm gave me the perfect opportunity to finally nip this bud before it festers and with things finally clearing up between me and Cara, it was even more so...
"Yo.." I greeted with what I was sure had been a friendly tone, despite his clear hostility..
I couldn’t understand why he was so upset with me, anyway, it didn’t matter, nothing about Micheal was about to continue mattering In fact..
"What do you want?" His angry voice brought me out my thoughts..
"We’re in a secret realm, I need points to climb the rankings, I came to find your bum ass, what do you think I could possibly want?" I remarked sarcastically..
Contrary to my expectations, Micheal didn’t cower, instead, he smirked, a crazed expression appearing on his face..
"Heh.. you think this is going to be a repeat of what happened back at bright sun city? You think I’ll end up helpless and tortured once again? THINK AGAIN!! He roared, his aura spiking, a familiar heatwave washing over me..
His figure grew, his height reaching an impressive 8ft tall, his aura deepened, a weight settling into the surrounding space as the temperature soared to ungodly levels, the floor beneath him turning into molten sludge...
""Solar Empowerment""
We both called out together..
"Heh.. so that’s how you want to play it? Well guess what?" I landed quietly, facing his raging figure, the heat doing nothing to me...
"Two can play that game.." the wind stilled..
Micheal’s expression turning from fierce to confused, and then to shock, as..
<Solar Empowerment> I activated my own skill...
What I couldn’t do then, I’ll gladly do now, time to beat someone at his own game...
