My Magical Girl System

Chapter 274: Beyond the Limits

Morrow’s aura surged, the dark red energy around him thickening until it crackled like a living storm. He rolled his shoulders, the grinding sound of his joints echoing through the arena as he straightened to his full height.

"That was a good punch," Morrow said, his voice low, carrying a hint of genuine acknowledgment. "But it’s still not enough to bring me down."

Andrey’s eyes narrowed as the pressure in the arena doubled. ’He’s getting stronger... his aura is still rising.’

The announcer’s voice boomed through the speakers, laced with theatrical excitement. "Ladies and gentlemen! It seems our undefeated champion has decided to stop playing around! He’s entering—BERSERK MODE!"

The crowd erupted, a wave of savage cheers washing over the arena. "MORROW! MORROW! MORROW!" The chant swelled, a primal roar of hunger and anticipation.

Morrow’s dead eyes gleamed with cold anticipation. He crouched low, his massive muscles coiling like a spring.

Andrey’s gaze remained fixed on Morrow, his body already tensed for the next strike. ’I need to predict where he’s going to land...’

Morrow leaped. The ground beneath him cracked and splintered as he launched himself into the air, his silhouette blotting out the harsh arena lights. He descended like a meteor, his fist aimed directly at Andrey’s position—a blow that would shatter bones and stone alike.

Andrey’s Ki senses screamed a warning. He moved, throwing himself to the side just as Morrow’s fist struck the ground where he had been standing. The impact was devastating—a shockwave of force erupted from the point of contact, sending a cascade of shattered stone flying in all directions. The ground buckled, a crater forming beneath Morrow’s fist, cracks spiderwebbing outward across the arena floor.

Andrey was thrown back by the shockwave, his body tumbling across the sand before he caught himself, his hands scraping against the rough surface. The taste of blood filled his mouth. He pushed himself up, his body aching, his glasses cracked further.

Morrow rose from the crater, his eyes fixed on Andrey. The air around him shimmered with residual heat and dust, his form looking almost supernatural in the haze.

Andrey exhaled slowly, forcing himself to steady his breathing. ’That was close. If I hadn’t moved in time, he would have crushed me.’

The announcer’s voice echoed, carrying a note of barely contained excitement. "What a devastating blow! The arena floor has been shattered by Morrow’s raw power! Is the Manager still standing?!"

The crowd’s roar swelled, voices shouting from the stands, words lost in the chaotic din.

Andrey wiped the blood from his lip and adjusted his cracked glasses. His voice carried across the arena, calm and unwavering despite the chaos around him. "Is that all you’ve got?"

Morrow’s lips curled into a slow, approving smile. "You’re still standing. Good. It would’ve been boring if you died so quickly."

Andrey’s mind was already calculating. ’Morrow’s Berserk mode amplifies his strength and speed, but it makes his movements more predictable. If I can bait him into overextending, I can create an opening.’

He took a step forward, rolling his shoulder to test the soreness. "Then let’s see how long you can keep up this pace."

A flicker of respect crossed Morrow’s scarred face. "I like your spirit, manager. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a fight worth remembering." He settled into a low, grounded stance, his massive form coiled like a predator ready to strike. "Let’s make this a battle to remember."

Andrey’s inner voice surged through the haze of pain and adrenaline.

’Let’s push beyond the limits.’

With a surge of burning determination, Andrey launched forward—his body becoming a blur of motion that crossed the arena in an instant. Morrow moved too, his aura exploding with raw power. The two figures collided in the center of the ring with an impact that shook the entire arena, dust and stone fragments flying in all directions.

Morrow dominated with his massive punches, forcing Andrey to constantly dodge and defend. The blows came in relentless waves, each one carrying enough force to shatter bones. Andrey weaved and spun, sometimes barely escaping, but he held his ground.

He spotted an opening a split second, and struck back. His fist connected with Morrow’s jaw, making the undefeated champion stagger slightly. But Morrow recovered quickly. His massive hand caught Andrey’s wrist and deflected the next strike before it could land.

Andrey didn’t give up. He used the momentum, lifting his leg and driving a hard kick into Morrow’s side—just below his arm. The strike landed solidly, forcing a low grunt from Morrow and making him step back.

Morrow growled, his hollow eyes flashing with a mix of pain and grudging respect. His aura exploded once more savage. The wave of energy hit Andrey like a brick wall, sending him tumbling across the arena. He rolled across the sand, trying to rise, but Morrow was already on him.

The giant fist slammed into his chest with crushing force. Andrey was sent flying, his body crashing against the arena wall with a deafening impact. Blood filled his mouth, pain radiating through every inch of his body.

His Damage Absorb reached its limit.

Gasping for breath, Andrey pushed himself up.

’Phantom Step.’

He vanished and reappeared on Morrow’s opposite side, his movements becoming a blur of speed. He surged forward, feinting to misdirect Morrow, and unleashed his Mana Threads—invisible strands that wrapped around Morrow’s body, binding his arms to his sides.

Morrow thrashed, his muscles straining against the threads. They stretched, nearly breaking—but for a moment, he was immobilized.

That was the opening Andrey needed.

He gathered all the stored energy from Damage Absorb, merging it with a Ki Burst. A devastating shockwave exploded from his body, slamming into Morrow with full force. The undefeated champion staggered, his aura flickering, his body finally yielding to the accumulated damage.

But even as the shockwave hit, Morrow managed to throw one last punch—a wild, desperate swing that caught Andrey across the jaw. Blood sprayed from Andrey’s mouth as he was sent flying once again, his body crashing into the sand.

Both fighters lay motionless for a moment, the arena falling into stunned silence. The crowd held its breath, waiting to see who would rise first.

Both fighters rose to their feet at the same time.

Andrey’s regeneration was working, but slowly—his body was exhausted, his muscles screaming with every movement. Blood still trickled from the corner of his mouth, and his cracked glasses hung crookedly on his face.

Across from him, Morrow’s aura flared even brighter. The dark red energy around him pulsed with renewed intensity, his dead eyes now burning with something that looked almost like excitement.

The announcer’s voice boomed through the speakers, laced with disbelief and raw energy. "They’re both still standing! The fight is far from over, ladies and gentlemen!"

The crowd erupted, a tidal wave of cheers and screams washing over the arena.

Morrow’s voice cut through the noise, low and rough. "You’re holding back."

Andrey’s brow furrowed. "How can you tell?"

Morrow’s lips curled into a knowing grin. "I’ve fought enough opponents to recognize the type. You’re the kind of fighter who hides his trump card until the very end. You’ve been saving something this whole time."

Andrey was silent for a moment, his gaze steady. He didn’t deny it.

Morrow straightened, rolling his shoulders. "Instead of overthinking everything... let’s just enjoy this. You and me—fighting to the death without worrying about anything else. That’s what a real battle is supposed to be."

Something shifted in Andrey’s chest. His mind, always racing, always calculating, began to quiet. The constant weight of strategy and analysis lifted, just for a moment.

He let out a slow breath. A small, genuine smile crossed his face.

"...Alright. Let’s end this with glory."

He reached up and pulled off his cracked glasses. He let them fall to the sand, the lenses shattering as they hit the ground.

"Overdrive... ACTIVATE!"

Power surged through his body. His hair shifted from brown to brilliant white, and a fierce, radiant aura exploded around him. The ground beneath his feet cracked under the pressure, and the air itself seemed to tremble.

The crowd fell silent for a heartbeat—then exploded into chaos.

"What the hell?! His hair turned white!"

"Is that even possible?!"

"What kind of power is that?!"

The announcer’s voice rose, trembling with shock. "Ladies and gentlemen! The challenger has undergone a drastic transformation! His aura is off the charts!"

Morrow’s grin widened, his dead eyes blazing with approval. "That’s more like it."

He settled into a low stance, his aura flaring to match Andrey’s intensity. His voice carried across the arena, rough and eager.

"Now we can finally have a real fight."

From the elevated VIP section, luna leaned forward in her seat, her sharp eyes narrowing as she watched the white-haired figure below. Her tail, which had been swaying lazily, went still. A flicker of genuine surprise crossed her doll-like face.

"What... what is that aura? He’s become a completely different person."

Morgana’s lips curved into a slow, knowing smile. Her voice was calm, carrying a note of quiet pride.

"That is Master’s final form. When he activates it, he surpasses his normal limits entirely. The battle will end soon."

Luna’s gaze remained fixed on Andrey, her earlier mockery replaced by interest. Her voice dropped, carrying a hint of genuine amusement.

"This is far more entertaining than I expected."
