Chapter 522 358: Tigers and Wolves
The two little guys were hilarious.
Loki walked in front, chest puffed out, while Tu'Er followed behind, waddling and twisting with each step as if performing some comical dance.
Whenever Loki cried out at the top of his lungs, Tu'Er was especially cooperative.
He would periodically stop, stretch out his neck, spread his wings as wide as he could, and strike all sorts of majestic yet slightly amusing poses.
The guests were stunned at first, but then they found the scene quite interesting.
Even more unexpectedly, some people were actually willing to pay just to take a picture with Tu'Er.
Feng Mountain stood to the side, watching everything quietly without intervening.
'The two little guys aren't stealing or robbing anyone. They're earning money with their own skills and cleverness. Why should I stop them?'
'It's better to let them do their thing and add some fun to the party.'
At that moment, the entire Crown Territory was bustling with excitement. Almost everyone had arrived, yet Feng Mountain couldn't help but feel a little uneasy.
The Prince, the Princess, and the White Wolf Pack hadn't returned yet.
'Did they forget the time?'
He had specifically left a walkie-talkie in the Wolf's Nest and even set a timer.
The walkie-talkie was supposed to announce the time as a reminder, so logically, this shouldn't have happened.
'Forget it!'
'Looks like I'll have to go myself.'
'That airhead Prince probably forgot all about it.'
With that in mind, Feng Mountain headed for the snowmobile parking area, planning to ride one to the Moonlight Forest.
However, he hadn't gone far when he suddenly heard the faint, intermittent sound of a wolf's howl.
The sound seemed to come from a faraway place, low and drawn-out.
The Tiger Pack, which had been enjoying the guests' gentle pets, flinched as if stung by the sound. The once-languid tigers shot to their feet, their eyes flashing with ferocity. They let out low, angry growls and charged outside without hesitation.
Even Ashes, contrary to his usual self, became extremely alert.
He quickly gathered the herd of horses and followed closely behind the tigers, lining up with them on the outskirts of the party area.
Meanwhile, Loki and Tu'Er, who had just been making a ruckus in the crowd, were now like two frightened little birds, silently hiding among the people without making a peep.
The animals' strange reactions left everyone baffled. They looked at each other, their faces filled with confusion.
People began to whisper amongst themselves, wondering what on earth was happening.
The howling grew louder and clearer as it moved from the distance, until it seemed to be echoing right in their ears.
The color drained from the faces of Alvin and his crewmen. They grabbed whatever they could use as weapons and, without a second thought, stood with the animals in a defensive stance.
Seeing this, the other guests also began to panic. Some started looking around for a place to hide, while others grabbed their companions and ran for the camp.
'To be attacked by a Wolf Pack on Christmas Eve of all nights... could our luck be any worse?'
Seeing the guests' strong reaction, the female staff and some of the older folks familiar with the area quickly stepped forward.
They knew the howls must have come from the White Wolf Pack, so they hurriedly tried to explain and calm the guests down.
Just then, a dozen or so white figures appeared in everyone's line of sight.
They were agile, like flashes of white lightning, and quickly spread out to form a white circle of encirclement as they charged toward the camp.
Tyson lifted his massive, hamburger-shaped head and let out a deafening roar, charging forward to meet them head-on.
Seeing this, the other tigers in the pack also got fired up, roaring as they followed behind Tyson.
They ran menacingly toward the White Wolf Pack, and it seemed a huge battle was about to break out.
Feng Mountain, who was not far away, saw the Tiger Pack's impulsive actions. His heart sank, and he silently cursed.
He had been with these tigers for a long time and knew their temperaments like the back of his hand.
They might look majestic and swagger around in front of everyone, but in reality, they were just a bunch of simple-minded fools who only acted on instinct.
'If a real fight breaks out, it doesn't matter if the tigers get hurt or the wolves get hurt.'
'Either outcome is something I don't want to see. Cleaning up that mess would be a huge pain.'
Over here, Alvin was limping on one leg, a beer bottle clutched in his hand.
He was limping, yet his face was full of excitement as he led his crewmen forward, looking as if he were about to fight the Wolf Pack to the death.
Seeing this, Feng Mountain strode over, grabbed Alvin by the collar, and yanked him back.
"Get back! What are you doing jumping into the fray? Those are our wolves!"
After shouting at the meddling crewmen, Feng Mountain didn't dare waste a second and chased after the Tiger Pack, which had already charged a good distance away.
At this point, Prince and Princess, who were charging at the very front, had only one thought in their minds: to see their dad as soon as possible.
The Wolf Pack sprinted across the snow, their tufts of white fur fluttering in the wind like flying snowflakes.
But as they ran, the Wolf Pack felt that something was increasingly off.
A strange, dangerous scent seemed to be drifting in the air—a scent they had never encountered before in the Crown Territory.
Prince and Princess were instantly on high alert. They subconsciously slowed down, cautiously observing what was ahead as they ran.
Before long, a group of large, yellow-patterned cats suddenly appeared in their line of sight.
Immediately, Prince and Princess threw their heads back and let out a series of high-pitched, sharp cries.
The sound echoed across the open Tundra, signaling the scattered wolves to return at once.
Hearing their leaders' command, the dozen or so Taiga Wolves immediately turned around and quickly converged.
They huddled tightly together, forming a battle formation, their green eyes glinting coldly in the night.
