Chapter 623 : Fine, I’ll Be on the Bottom~
Sitting with her attractive boss, eating barbecue, and watching an indescribable movie—Ling Ning couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions.
Glancing at Qin Qing seated beside her, who was intently watching the screen while making occasional cryptic comments, Ling Ning sighed. Why had she agreed to such an absurd idea?
Shaking her head, she finished the skewer in her hand and took a big swig of beer. Deciding to go with the flow, she directed her attention to the TV.
Admittedly, the movie was surprisingly engaging, at least to Ling Ning.
“I never knew two girls could come up with so many creative ideas,” Qin Qing remarked with a tone of genuine curiosity.
“You’re just inexperienced~” Ling Ning quipped.
Qin Qing turned to her with an amused expression. “Oh? You sound like quite the expert. Have you watched a lot of these? Or are you secretly a little pervert?”
“And you’re any better? What kind of boss drags her employee to watch something like this? Oh, but I suppose at your age, having certain... needs is understandable,” Ling Ning replied with mock seriousness.
She instantly regretted it. Qin Qing’s forehead vein visibly twitched, and her expression turned eerily calm. Ling Ning felt like a soldier facing an impending bombardment.
“I was kidding! Please don’t take it seriously!” Ling Ning blurted, waving her hands defensively.
“Kidding, huh?” Qin Qing set down her skewer and, before Ling Ning could react, pinned her onto the bed. “Then let me play along.”
Looking up at Qin Qing looming over her, Ling Ning blinked, realizing her grave mistake. Not only was Qin Qing stronger than her, but the office was empty, and no one could come to her rescue.
“Uh... Sister Qin Qing, let’s talk this through! I know I was wrong!”
“Relax, I just want to test something.”
“Huh?”
Before Ling Ning could process what she meant, she felt Qin Qing’s hand slide under her skirt briefly before pulling away.
Qin Qing leaned close to her ear and whispered, “You say it’s no big deal, but your body tells a different story.”
Ling Ning’s face turned beet red as she stammered, “T-That’s just a normal physiological reaction!”
“Oh? Normal, huh~”
Qin Qing released her, returning to a sitting position and directing her gaze back to the TV. Ling Ning exhaled in relief. At least nothing too crazy had happened.
Shaking off her thoughts, Ling Ning sat back up. She wasn’t going to let some barbecue go to waste just because of a little awkwardness.
By the time the movie ended and the food was gone, Ling Ning began cleaning up. Meanwhile, Qin Qing pulled out her phone, scrolling through it absentmindedly.
After tidying up, Ling Ning changed into fresh underwear and climbed into bed. Exhausted from the day’s events, she was ready to pass out.
“Sister Qin Qing, time to sleep. We have a busy day tomorrow.”
“Mm.”
Qin Qing casually set her phone on the bedside table and slid under the covers.
With the lights off, the room was dimly lit by a small nightlight. For some reason, despite her earlier drowsiness, Ling Ning now found herself wide awake.
She tried to clear her mind, but fragments of the movie kept replaying in her head. Maybe it was the beer, but her thoughts refused to settle.
“Can’t sleep?”
Qin Qing’s voice broke the silence. Ling Ning sighed. “Yeah. I was so tired earlier, but now I just can’t fall asleep.”
“Hmm... Could it be that the movie left such an impression on you that your brain’s too excited to rest?”
Qin Qing teased, her tone dripping with amusement.
“Of course not! I’m just... restless.”
“Well, I can always chat with you if you’d like~” Qin Qing turned to face Ling Ning, her eyes glinting mischievously in the dim light.
“No thanks. You always end up bringing up work,” Ling Ning grumbled.
It was true. Qin Qing had a habit of steering any conversation back to her projects, eventually getting so inspired that she’d hop out of bed to jot down ideas.
Ling Ning had experienced this cycle far too many times.
“Don’t worry, I promise I won’t mention work this time,” Qin Qing said confidently.
“Yeah, you’ve said that before... and the time before that.”
Ling Ning retorted, her words slurring slightly as the alcohol took its toll.
Qin Qing paused, momentarily at a loss for words. Then, as if struck by inspiration, she shifted closer, her voice dropping to a husky murmur. “In that case, why don’t we do something else instead?”
Her tone sent a shiver down Ling Ning’s spine. “Like what?” she asked warily.
“Oh, just what those two girls were doing in the movie. Aren’t you curious to try?”
Ling Ning’s eyes flew open. Instinctively, she tried to scoot back, only to realize the wall was right behind her.
“Wait a second, Sister Qin Qing, that’s not appropriate!”
“What’s wrong with it? You’ve been so stressed lately, and I can tell you’ve had a lot on your mind. Think of it as a way to relax. And fine, if it helps, I’ll let you be on top~”
“W-Wait—mmph?!”
