Chapter 557 : Sinking Deeper
"Well, even if you ask me that, I can’t recall it right away. But... maybe if Xiao Ya accompanies me for a drink, I might just remember~"
Ling Ning’s sly smile resembled a fox that had successfully stolen something, yet Su Ya couldn’t bring herself to dislike it.
"Fine, where do you want to go?"
Su Ya understood Ling Ning’s intentions all too well and didn’t bother arguing. After all, reasoning with her was pointless; she would only come up with more excuses.
Su Ya’s immediate agreement genuinely surprised Ling Ning. It seemed Su Ya was indeed a fan of Bai Yiyue. Otherwise, there was no way she’d have agreed so easily.
"Let’s head to the café nearby. It’s still early."
"Alright."
The two went to a café near the school, the same one Zhao Rui had taken Ling Ning to before. Ling Ning liked the atmosphere and had started frequenting it.
Taking a light sip of her coffee, Ling Ning smiled and asked, "What was it you wanted to ask, Xiao Ya?"
"I wanted to know if it’s true that Bai Yiyue is holding a concert at our school."
"If nothing unexpected happens, it’s probably true. As for the exact date, you’ll find out soon~"
Hearing this, Su Ya’s face lit up with excitement. "It’s true? So I’ll get to watch Bai Yiyue’s concert live?"
Her enthusiasm quickly faded, however, leaving Ling Ning puzzled. "What’s wrong?"
"Tickets… Bai Yiyue’s concert tickets always sell out in no time. I don’t even know if I can get one, let alone a good seat," Su Ya lamented, looking dejected.
But then, as if struck by an idea, Su Ya lifted her head and looked at Ling Ning earnestly. "With your connection to Bai Yiyue, you can definitely get tickets, right?"
"Eh-heh-heh~ Tickets aren’t a problem, but..."
"But what!?"
"But unless Xiao Ya gives me a kiss, I just won’t have the motivation to ask for them~" A mischievous smile crept across Ling Ning’s face.
Su Ya blinked, her expression one of hesitation. However, her resolve quickly firmed up as she recalled how Ling Ning had stolen a kiss from her before. If it had already happened once, what difference would another time make?
Glancing around to ensure the café wasn’t too crowded, Su Ya hesitated a moment longer before standing up and sitting beside Ling Ning. Before Ling Ning could react, Su Ya leaned in and planted a light kiss on her lips.
"That should do, right~" Su Ya tilted her head slightly, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush, giving her a uniquely captivating charm.
"Just one? I barely felt anything."
"Don’t push it! Or I’ll turn you into a walking hot weapon!" Su Ya snapped, clearly flustered.
"Alright, alright. I get it. Leave the tickets to me—they’ll definitely be premium seats~" Ling Ning patted her chest confidently.
Truthfully, even if Ling Ning didn’t want to attend, Bai Yiyue would undoubtedly drag her along. If she wanted, Bai Yiyue might even hold a private concert just for her.
"R-Really? No problem at all?"
"Of course! Don’t forget my connection with Bai Yiyue."
Ling Ning briefly considered how Su Ya would react if she learned her idol was actually a perverted lunatic. Deciding it was better left unsaid, she brushed the thought aside. At least for now, Su Ya didn’t need to know that Bai Yiyue had set her sights on her.
Noticing Ling Ning’s peculiar expression, Su Ya frowned. "What’s wrong?"
"N-Nothing. Just savoring that kiss you gave me. But it was too fleeting—if only you’d kissed me a bit longer~" Ling Ning replied, her tone tinged with regret.
"Hmph."
Su Ya turned her head away. Giving Ling Ning one kiss was already generous enough. People always wanted more.
Seeing her reaction, Ling Ning chuckled and scooted closer, even pressing herself against Su Ya’s side.
"If you won’t kiss me, how about I kiss you instead~" Ling Ning whispered.
Su Ya’s eyes involuntarily focused on Ling Ning’s lips, which shimmered as if enhanced by lip balm, giving them an irresistibly glossy look.
She quickly tore her gaze away, stammering, "D-Don’t joke around! This is a public place!"
"Eh?"
Ling Ning could tell Su Ya had been flustered by her teasing, but she hadn’t expected her to resist. Well, no matter—she could take her time with this.
After Ling Ning returned to her original seat, Su Ya quietly exhaled. Recently, she’d found Ling Ning’s charm almost overwhelming. Every smile, every subtle movement seemed to capture her attention.
No... Perhaps it wasn’t that Ling Ning was becoming more alluring. Maybe she herself was sinking deeper into this.
Glancing sideways at Ling Ning, who was sipping her coffee, Su Ya was suddenly struck by an inexplicable urge to "turn Ling Ning into a walking hot weapon." How could someone make drinking coffee seem so effortlessly enticing?
After finishing her coffee, Ling Ning stretched contentedly and asked, "Xiao Ya, how about we grab dinner together tonight?"
Su Ya shook her head gently. "Not tonight. I already made plans to go shopping with Mantouka."
"Eh? Oh, I see… Guess there’s no helping it. Next time, then," Ling Ning said, feigning disappointment. She had been planning to treat Su Ya to some cheap hot pot—six yuan a bowl.
"Sorry."
"It’s fine. I’m just a little sad, a little hurt, a little heartbroken. But if Xiao Ya gives me another kiss, all will be forgiven~"
"Heh~"
