Chapter 332 : The Grass on the Grave Must Be Over a Meter Tall by Now~
"Hmm?"
Ling Ning frowned as she looked at a beautiful girl standing not far away. She had planned to head to the café today, so she left the house early. As she was about to grab breakfast, she noticed a very familiar figure. However, the girl’s outfit was so different from what Ling Ning remembered that she wasn’t sure if this was someone she knew.
"No matter how I look at her, she really looks like that idiot!"
Ling Ning stared at the girl who resembled Luo Xiaoning. From her appearance to her figure, everything was identical, except the dress she was wearing looked a bit too normal. It really didn’t match her usual style.
This didn’t make sense. Ling Ning suddenly remembered that Luo Xiaoning was supposed to be under house arrest. Even if she were released, wouldn’t she have gone straight to the café to find Chu Mengyao? Why would she be wandering around here? Could this girl be Luo Xiaoning’s sister, or maybe even her mother?
As the girl seemed ready to leave, Ling Ning quickly followed her. No matter what, someone who resembled Luo Xiaoning this much had to be connected to her.
"Excuse me... Can I bother you for a moment?"
The beautiful girl paused, startled by Ling Ning’s sudden approach, then gently nodded and asked, "What can I do for you?"
"Definitely not the same," Ling Ning muttered to herself. Just from her demeanor, this girl was completely different from the silly Luo Xiaoning. Her refined mannerisms and ladylike aura made her seem worlds apart.
The girl didn’t seem bothered by Ling Ning’s muttering and continued smiling at her, as if patiently waiting for her to speak.
"Um... May I ask if you know someone named Luo Xiaoning? She looks exactly like you."
The mention of Luo Xiaoning made the girl raise an eyebrow. "You know my sister? She should still be at home~"
Ling Ning gave an awkward smile. "I’m a friend of your sister’s. I haven’t seen her for a while, and when I saw you, I almost mistook you for her."
"Oh~ That happens often. People always confuse me with my sister. By the way, what’s your name? My name is Luo Xiaoyu, ‘yu’ as in ‘language.’" Luo Xiaoyu looked at Ling Ning with a faint, almost imperceptible smile.
"My name is Ling Ning. ‘Ling’ as in the ‘ethereal waves,’ and ‘Ning’ as in the ‘melody of seven strings.’ Just call me Ling Ning."
"Ling Ning, huh? That’s a lovely name~ If there’s nothing else, I have some errands to run, so I’ll take my leave now~"
"Wait, can you tell me how Luo Xiaoning is doing lately?"
"My sister? She’s living quite well, though she doesn’t seem very happy."
Watching Luo Xiaoyu’s retreating figure, Ling Ning sighed. It made sense—Luo Xiaoning had been forced away from the person she liked and was under house arrest. How could she possibly be happy?
After Luo Xiaoyu left, Ling Ning quickly grabbed some breakfast and headed to the café.

When she arrived at the café, she saw Chu Mengyao leaning against the entrance with a broom in her arms, her face blank. She seemed lost in thought and didn’t even notice Ling Ning approaching.
"Hey!"
Ling Ning decided to play a small prank and jumped out from behind Chu Mengyao, hoping to startle her. However, what greeted her was a pale, delicate fist.
The small fist stopped less than a centimeter from Ling Ning’s nose. Judging from its force, Ling Ning had no doubt it would have left her disfigured—or worse—if Chu Mengyao hadn’t stopped in time.
"Huh? Oh, it’s just you, Ling Ning. I thought it was someone with bad intentions~" Chu Mengyao said as she lowered her hand. "Next time, don’t sneak up on me like that, okay? The last person who did... well, the grass on their grave must be over a meter tall by now~"
"I... I got it~ By the way, I just ran into Luo Xiaoning—"
"What! You saw that idiot? Where is she? If she’s out, why hasn’t she come back here? When she does, I’m definitely going to teach her a lesson!"
"Wait! Let go of me! I’m not done talking!" Ling Ning felt like her whole body was about to be shaken apart. She couldn’t understand how Chu Mengyao’s slender arms could exert so much force.
After Chu Mengyao finally released her, Ling Ning took a deep breath and explained, "I said, I met her sister, Luo Xiaoyu."
"Sister?" Chu Mengyao raised an eyebrow. "You mean Luo Xiaoyu?"
"Yeah."
Ling Ning then recounted everything Luo Xiaoyu had told her, word for word.
Hearing that Luo Xiaoning was doing relatively well, Chu Mengyao sighed in relief. She had been worried that the silly girl might be suffering after being sent back home.
"You know, I never knew Luo Xiaoning had a sister. When I met Luo Xiaoyu this morning, I almost mistook her for her sister," Ling Ning said with some amazement.
"Well, you never asked, so I didn’t mention it. Besides, don’t let Luo Xiaoyu’s looks fool you—she may seem delicate, but she’s already in her first year of university... or wait, after the summer break, she’ll be a sophomore."
"Uh... Like sister, like sister, I guess? Oh, by the way, I wanted to ask you something. I’ve been thinking of going to the beach recently. Do you have any recommendations?"
"The beach, huh?" Chu Mengyao thought for a moment. "There are two fairly popular beaches in this city. You can easily find their names online. But the environment is a bit bad. Last year, when I went there with that idiot, we didn’t even go into the water. Who knows if it’s improved this year~"
"If you really want to enjoy yourself, I wouldn’t recommend those beaches. It’s better to find a hotel or resort with a private beach. But that’ll cost a lot more."
"What are you guys talking about?"
A familiar voice suddenly came from behind Ling Ning. She turned instinctively and saw Zhou Xiaoxiao standing there, grinning.
"Well, if it isn’t Xiaoxiao! Why haven’t you been around here lately?" Chu Mengyao asked with a smile.
Zhou Xiaoxiao sighed. "I didn’t have a choice. As soon as I started my break, my dad dragged me back to the countryside to visit my grandmother. I just got back yesterday~"
"Oh, by the way! I overheard you guys talking about beaches?"
